T'was Christmas Day in The Workhouse!

Merry Christmas Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

We have had a super day today; we woke up early and made sure Old Two Legs was up as well! The Missus took all the prezzies downstairs!

Holly and I went down and inspected every one and like good woofers we sat there waiting for OTL to come down. While we were waiting, we sang the song that OTL taught us last night, mind you he was down the wrong end of a bottle of bubbly!

Anyway, it went like this!

T'was Christmas day in the workhouse,

The best time of the year.

The workers were all merry, their bellies full of beer,

In strode the workhouse master and looked around the halls,

He wished them a Merry Christmas, and they all shouted *****!

The work master got angry and swore by all the gods,

They'd get no Christmas Pud today and he called them soppy ****!

Up stood the eldest worked his face as bold as brass,

We don't want your Christmas Pudding,

Go stick it up your ****!

As I said, he was well down a bottle of bubbly!

OTL came down after he got dressed and we opened a couple of prezzies from Archie Babe and I tell you those Woofer Blankets will come in right handy and those nibbles are just what the vet ordered!

The ferrets were getting restless so we headed out for our walk in the mud. It had to be mud 'cos there was no snow!

 No Snow!

Back home we headed for our bed while the ferrets opened their prezzies. Eric was first out of the cage and headed down stairs but Wendy was a sleepy head and took some time to get up, then, once she was up there was the morning wash in the shower which took a little while longer.

A girls just gotta have a morning dip!

By the time she came down stairs Eric had opened both prezzies with the squeaky rubber balls, then set about helping TM open her prezzies as well! After that he set about looking into OTL's prezzies but OTL got his in a bottle, so no luck there!

Eric and Wendy join forces to sort out our nibbles!

Wendy had a bash at the other bottle in a bag but gave up when she couldn't open the cork!

Erick had a bash at OTL's prezzie and managed to find the bookwhich was all about mountain climbing in Scotland!

Now TM got a prezzie that electrically squirted some smelly stuff into the air and makes the room sniff of flowers or some other thing.

Well, being technical, OTL was given it to assemble and he loaded it all up and installed the two batteries, screwed the base in and had a sniff, no sniff. Then he found out that he had to switch it on!

Well, OTL was sniffing at the same time as he switched it on and a whacking great squirt of stuff came out of the top like a geezer and straight up OTL's nose!

He coughed and spluttered and his nose went a funny colour then his eyes watered and he was coughing and spluttering some more.

It didn't help that TM was laughing her tail off!

We had a super Christmas Dinner and we are all sitting down watching a DVD and trying to stay awake!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

Jingle Bells and all that stuff!

 Yo Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

'Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house, nothing was moving, not even a mouse, well as long as you don't include Eric and Wendy who have been investigating all the prezzies under the tree, sniffing every parcel and trying to open them a little just to see what's in there!

Old Two Legs says that it's a good job there are loads of cardboard boxes that managed to resist the claws of Eric and I must admit, I had a little rake around, without any success. I got caught by OTL who said that as I've been a naughty puppy this year Santa Paws has crossed me off his list!

I'm not sure if he was telling porkies but I've decided to be very, very good this afternoon and over night, you know, no woofing in OTL's ear around midnight if I fancy a wander around the house doing my guarding duties!

The wind was picking up today, it was coming from the North, so that means it will be getting colder. I don't think there will be snow but you never know!

Do you think it will be frosty before snowy?

We met up with one of those sausage dogs who looked so excited to see us that it was obvious she doesn't get to see too many woofers!

She was tearing around like a rocked, bumbped into me and made me jump, then ran into OTL, rolled over on her back like a big tart and chased Holly behind a tree!

When she came tearing towards me I gave her a big 'Warning Woof', that sorted her out for a while!

A Pocket Rocket Sausage Dog!

Tonight we will be holding a midnight Carol Service so we can sing some of our favourite carols such as 'We Three Woofs' and 'Asleep in a Manger' or “Oi! Come All Ye Woofers”then there is “Hark The Hairy Woofers Sing” and not forgetting, 'Jingle Bells, Eric Smells'!

So, just in case we miss you tomorrow, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and best of all a safe one away from all the nasty Covid stuff!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

It's been wet, again!

 Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

We were up early this morning, all ready to go out for a fun walk across the old golf course.

Well, that was the idea but instead when we stuck our noses out of the front door, it was raining.

It rained all the way around the golf course and across the football field and we got wet, very wet, in fact even Old Two Legs got very wet!

We have spent most of the time cuddled up to OTL's feet under his desk as he makes clicking the keys on the computer keyboard that keeps waking us up!

Lunchtime came and out we went again but when we got to the front of the drive, Holly headed towards the car, 'cos it's raining, and refused to walk towards the football field and instead pointed her nose towards the car!

Unfortunately, at the moment, we are in Tier-4, so that means Keep Away from Everyone!

That also includes woofers, cats, rabbits and Two Legs. Now that is a bit of a pain in the butt but it looks like OTL isn’t taking any chances, so, we walk across the football field and the old golf course.

There are of course some benefits, Holly and I make a nuisance of ourselves and The Missus gives us a teeth cleaning chew and when we get fed up with that, we then get a rawhide chew followed by some Chewy Chicken Strips!

What's the point of being a woofer if you can't be crafty!

See you all tomorrow when we hope the rain will be somewhere else!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
