The weekend is here!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

We love Friday's 'cos that means I get to bark at the dustbin men and then the weekend can start properly!

Old Two Legs was going to get out the ladder again and clear the gutters in the front of the house but he had some work to do and by the time he had finished, it was time for our lunchtime walk!

First thing this morning OTL took me out around the old golf course and we found that the owners had erected a big long screen around the inside, you know, one of those screens that keep in or out any wildlife. On top of that, there were squares of carpeting type stuff to see how many snakes or slow worms get under to keep warm!

OTL had a look under one of the squares but there was nothing there!

Maybe tomorrow he will take his camera and we will have a look at another square!

The lunchtime walk was not up to scratch, I mean, no water!

Well, there was water but it was so far away that I reckon we could walk half way across the river before finding any water!

Look! It is still miles away!

Looking further up the Medway it was still the same, miles of squidgy mud before there was any sign of water!

Maybe they should call it The River Mudway!

It seems that the white flowers had all gone and now there are only yellow flowers left. Pretty soon even they will have gone and then the green leaves will be changing as well!

It may just be yellow flowers but the dragonflies and bumblebees are still active. It's a pity the dragonflies don't take time to have a rest. They are tearing around all over the place and flying up high as well, we just don't seem to be able to photograph them!

All good things come to an end and as we come out of the forest, there is the car, sitting in the car park waiting to take us back home.

OTL says that providing it is cool enough and not raining, he may get Eric dressed up in his harness and take him for a walk tomorrow morning!

That will be fun!

OK, home James and don't spare the horses!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Happy Birthday Rosie!

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

I thought you would like to hear some good news, Eric has been to the vet this evening and the vet says that there is no need for him to come back and he is all fit and well again.

We have got to keep an eye on his paw but claws crossed wer have a fit and well ferret!

Now, another important thing!

Happy Birthday to Rosie,

We'll tickle your Tosies,

And a tweek on your nosies,

Happy Birthday to Rosie!

OK, so we know it's late and we are sorry for that but you can blame Eric for that, he made the appointment to see the vet much later than was sensible!

That's ferrets for you!

Guess what Eric saw at the vets?

A Swan, it looked like it had got in trouble but ended up at the vets and was then taken to the Kent Animal Rescue to get better.

I'm a swan, I don't do quacks!

Down on the sea front it was nice and warm today when Old Two Legs took me out, plenty of sniffs!

There was just one thing that I couldn't have, a swim!

Just when is that tide going to be coming back again?

So, all in all it has been a good day, Rosie has her birthday and Eric gets let off the vet!

Now, maybe tomorrow I'll get a swim!

Luv,

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Bye Miss Holly.

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Another sunny day here in North Kent. It's been a bit draughty with the wind blowing but the temperature is up around the 21 C!

This morning The Missus took me out and instead of going over the golf course or around the corn field we headed off to the sea wall.

I met up with some woofers I know and remembered back to when Holly and I used to run with them chasing sniffs!

There are times when I hear a woof and just for a moment, I think it sounds like Holly but of course it isn't.

I am jumping up on Old Two Legs lap when he is working on the computer and I enjoy a cuddle and that makes me feel better!

This morning I spent nearly an hour on his lap listening to him complain that he can't do his accounts with me wriggling around!

So, what's wrong with a wriggle?

Lunchtime we were back in the car and off to the sea wall again and today we left my harness in the car, just in case the tide was in, it wasn't!

OK, who knicked all the water?

We headed off back to the car park when OTL saw a butterfly he had not seen before, not that it was rare it was just he hadn't seen one before. It's called a Wood Tiger Butterfly!

Wood Tiger Butterfly wot don't growl!

Back home, after a spot of lunch, OTL was in the garden preparing the urn for Miss Holly Chops!

All of the ferrets that have passed away are resting in there, so, Holly won't be lonely as she rests in her bamboo pillow.

The Missus put Holly into the hole OTL had prepared and then we covered her with some good earth.

That was followed by some pebbles to cover the earth and finally three big rocks.

Earlier we have a quick visit by Tracy who left a card and a bottle of champagne so we can toast the going of Miss Holly in the best manner.

I know that there are times when OTL has been down to the urn to chat with the ferrets and now there is Holly to say hello to.

Of course, I will still be having a late night wee on the pebbles by the urn, as I do every night before going to bed!

Now I'll be saying Good Night to Holly as well.

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
