Moth Trap Works.

Well, it's me again and the sun has been shining all day. 

It has been most pleasant walking through the forest, a real summers day.

I met up with some other woofers, I have seen them before but they were a little too bouncy for me and I kept close to OTL!

The Moth Trap was on all last night and when we went out to investigate what moths were trapped we found................. Nuffin!

So, we are going to leave it out again tonight and see what gets trapped. It is still a little early as the best time is July/August, that is when they are most active, but there is no reason why we won't catch a moth or two before then.

Lunchtime we were down looking for butterflies along the sea front.

We saw one white thing but it was going at such a speed that we couldn't identify it.

The tide was out and all I could do was to have a lay down in the mud!

Shouting at me won't do any good!

There was one Wormy May picking up shells and other stuff from the margins. He didn't find any worms 'cos he didn't have a garden fork.

You want to try further out mate!

It looks like we will be having good weather over the Bank Holiday weekend, let's hope it lasts until we go on holiday!

TM and OTL went to get stabbed but they had to make an appointment. OTL told them that when he tries to book an appointment the NHS web site tries to send them across the Thames into Southend on Sea!

Well, says the lady on the reception, you will have to come back on Saturday. OK, says OTL, what about now, there's no one waiting, just slip us in now?

Oh no, says the receptionist, you have got to have an appointment first!

OTL said something about 'Jobs Worth' and left to return on Saturday!

A Snoozy Day

Hello Woofers!

Daisy here.

Today has been one of those super lazy days, it was warm and windy first thing and I couldn't find any sniffs to let me know Devos had passed that way.

Out on the horizon there was one of those private ships that seem to sail around the world getting all sun tanned and enjoying the sights.

One of those expensive paddle boats!

I decided it was a bit too big to park out the front of our house or even in our pond with the froggies!

We met up with Loki, out for his morning walk and had us in stitches with his tale of doggy school. It seemed that the classes were for puppy woofers, you know 'Sit' or 'Come here' or 'Look at Me'!

He reckons the best was ‘Look at Me’ cos you got one of those training nibbles Two Legs have in their pockets.

Loki said he told all the dogs to sit there and look at the TL while he went around gathering up the training nibbles!

 

OK, my turn for the nibbles!

 Of course, once all the nibbles had gone he had nothing left to nibble so all he could do was to sit in front of his TL and give her the old 'Hairy Eyeball'!

All Gone!

Loki said he didn't mind going to the training classes if he got to eat all the nibbles!

The Postman delivered the RCD OTL had ordered and OTL had a fun time installing it into the Moth Trap and with a bit of luck the rain will hold off tonight and it will be full of moths tomorrow morning.

Who knows, we might even find a super rare micro moth!

Hayfever is here!

 Hello Woofers.

Daisy back again.

Well, here is Monday again and we are back to work again!

OTLs back is getting better, not cured but getting better and bending down is a little easier as is getting back up again!

No woofers today 'cos we were up a little later than normal plus the wind was blowing off the sea which made it a bit chilly.

All the butterflies and insects were hiding in amongst the leaves so all OTL had to play with were the flowers, they waved a bit but at least they didn’t fly off!

Not sure about this one but it looked like it was interesting.

 

Slippy Cow.

This one we all know well, it's the Slippy Cow although TM reckons it is another species 'Slippy Bull’?

When I got out of the car at lunchtime I could sniff where Devo had been but as much as I could sniff of him, I just couldn't see him anywhere, maybe tomorrow I'll strike lucky!

TM and OTL are off to get stabbed tomorrow, it's another shot of the Covid stuff. At this rate they are being stabbed more times than me!
