It's The Sort of Solstice

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

We have been celebrating the Winter Solstice today, even if it's not really the shortest day today!

We have done some investigation and found out that tomorrow is about five minutes shorter between sun up and sun down, so, we are going to do it twice!

Old Two Legs said we should all dress up as Druids and dance along The Beach but we decided that with the three hundred or so of fishermen who turned up this morning for their fishing contest might be a bit scared, so we will leave it until tomorrow!

This morning the ferrets were dancing around on the beach 'cos they could get to their rocks without getting too wet!

Stop Peeking!
OTL decided to take a picture as a record rather than a work of art!

Winter Solstice over Sheerness
As we headed back the fishermen were marching along with their rods and stuff. Holly said that we wouldn't see them again 'cos lunchtime the tide would be racing out and they wouldn't do any fishing on the mud!

Just to prove it, when we returned, a little later that normal, they had all gone!

They've Gone!
We only met one woofer and he was a soppy Bozo of a Spaniel who was having a super time running across the mud and getting absolutely covered in the stuff!

Look! I'm Muddy!
Holly told him to 'Woof Off' 'cos we didn't want to get muddy like him 'cos that would mean a big wet bath when we got home and OTL might even take our chews away from us!

That was a close thing!
Off back home where OTL was re installing the music system. He had loads of fun clearing up all the dust that had gathered over the years it has been in the cabinet!

So, tomorrow it is the curtains with a look at the caravan electrics to see why the fuse went pop!

See you tomorrow for another 'Solstice'!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

  1. I bet those fishermen would have loved to have seen you all dressed up. Some of the bozos you meet up with are quite cute, I like today's bozo, he looks like he's had lots of fun. I think it's too near xmas for OTL to take away your chews, Santa wouldn't be happy if he upset you. Hope OTL gets the caravan electrics sorted with out too much bother, you need them when you go on your adventures. Has TM discussed with you what sort of curtains you'd like? Have a lovely evening, stay warm and snuggly, look forward to hearing of your adventures tomorrow, love, licks and wags from little Arch xxxx

  2. No pictures of the fishermen? I am very surprised that OTL didn't do another record shot just to show them! Oh dear, it's curtains tomorrow, you had better keep out the way or it will be curtains for you two and living down in the shed. Pleased that the stereo it all sorted but the caravan fuse going pop, yet another problem for that Man of the Moment to sort out, tell him to be careful with those electrics or more curtains. That spaniel was muddy, your were very wise to keep out of his way, today is not the day for a bath even if it is Winter Solstice. xxxx
