A Day that started with a Bang!

Hi Woofers!

Us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It has been all rush and tear today, it started off with a bit of a bang. You see, they are demolishing the Grain Power Station and today they pushed over a small chimney, but didn't tell us!

There we were, having a stroll when all of a sudden there was a terrific crashing sound and there appeared a big cloud of dust over the top of the trees!

Was that a Bomb?
It certainly made the ferrets jump!

Wot the Rats Tail was that?
Mr brambles got all concerned and ran up to ask if we were safe?

Dunno, shall we ask Old Two Legs?
OTL said that it was one of the Power Station Chimneys and we shouldn't worry!

Down on the beach we spotted that the barge with the long legs was back, we reckon it was having a rest 'cos it was Sunday!

Back for a rest!
When we got back home OTL asked if we wanted to try a Marrow Bone.

A Wot?

Marrow Bone?

Wossat?

It's a bone with the marrow in the middle!

Wot's Marrow?

Very tasty and good for Woofers!

OK, let's have a look.

Then I started off with a lick, then I licked some more, then I started to nibble a bit and then I got into chewing and.........

Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum,Yum!
Holly of course wanted a lick but I soon told her to Woof Off, in no uncertain terms!

This is MINE!

OTL asked Holly if she wanted one and of course she beat OTL back down to the fridge!

Then after OTL got the wrapping she ran back to the office and onto her cushion and all we heard for the next hours was ..........

Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum,Yum!Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum,Yum!
OTL originally had the idea that the ferrets would love a marrow bone and the bone would help get rid of some tartar on Brambles teeth.

First of all, the ferrets have got to start eating the marrow bone but all they did was to sniff the bone then went back to their bed and fell asleep!

So, as I'm typing this, they still haven't touched it. Do you thing they would give it to me to lick?

Lunchtime we were rushing about getting all our stuff in the caravan ready for tomorrow morning. OTL says that we can have another marrow bone on our way down to the caravan site!

Bring out yer Bones!
OTL and The Missus have been searching high and low for the thing that measures the nose weight of the caravan. We have to do that 'cos TM has a habit of overloading the caravan with card making stuff which makes it unbalanced!

We are off tomorrow early, so we may be a bit late with the blog tomorrow!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

  1. Goodness me but you have exciting times down there, I'm glad though the big bang didn't happen yesterday, I'm not sure I like big bangs. You are all very brave, specially little Mr Brambles coming to see if you're alright. Glad you liked the marrow bones, my mum said she would ask the vet if I can have one, they should keep you amused on your long journey tomorrow. I wouldn't put your tongue in the ferret cage to see if they'll let you have a lick, they might decide to see if your tongue tastes like chicken. Tell OTL not to worry about measuring the nose ........... it will hit heavy on the Richter scale with TM's crafty stash. Now remember girls, watch out for yakky dars, get Mr Brambles to suss them out first, he can do his commando crawl and if they're a bit iffy he could break dance so that they are so busy laughing he can make a good escape. I was very disappointed in the local sniffs on my walks today and am thinking that it's time to move closer to the seaside, I was going to just run away but my mum said it was tea time. I rubbed my wonderful seaside rolly sniff over the bedspread last night to share with my mum ............. she must of liked it, she was speechless. My mum said I've been wagging my tail lots while I've been snoozing today, I told her I was dreaming of my day yesterday. Have a lovely holiday all and safe journey, will be looking out to see when you arrive at your site. Don't forget your woofer singing songs to keep OTL and TM entertained on the way. Tell Holly, no tarting with strange woofers. Love, licks and wags from little (still snoozey) Arch xxxx

  2. Don't you lead exciting lives, beach, bangs and bones. Very definitely you need to weigh your nose!! I haven't forgotten what happened last time with TM and the overloading, not so much a case of the straw that broke the camels back but the card that broke the caravan. Have a good journey and enjoy the foreign country, take your passport just in case the laws have changed and of course take your other marrow bone. Didn't know they were starting on Grain yet, just a bit of practice to see which way it fell, seems a good idea, maybe they will take it down bang by bang hoping nobody will notice and one day "Now you see it, now you don't" Sad really because these chimneys are part of history and its a pity to loose them. OTL's dog crèche went well yesterday, poor Archie is still recovering, I have a feeling that when you get home there will be a little boat on the drive where the caravan lives containing Archie and his suitcase. Pleasant dreams and have a woofing time. xxxx
