May and April get promoted to Honorary Woofer Status!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Another Super Sunday, even if it did rain today!

After yesterdays fun and games, it was good to have an extra half an hour snooze before getting up to go for our walk!

Today April came along as well but stayed tucked up in the ferret bag for most of the walk. She said that she had 'done her stuff' on the carpet before leaving home, so just fresh air today please and don't bounce the bag as you walk!

OTL has got some clearing up when he gets back!

One thing we did notice, blossom!

It's not even February yet and there it is blooming all over the place!

Spring is Blooming out already!
Old Two Legs had ordered some more bedding for the ferrets and of course, we have all tried it out and little Wendy has been chasing Freddy from one bed to another! It seems she just can't decide on which bed to call her own, so she has decided that they all belong to her!

Enjoying a snooze in a quiet moment!
Now, Holly and I have been in a 'meeting' today and we have decided that both Miss May and Miss April are to get promoted to the position of 'Honorary Woofer First Class with Sniffs'!

Although Miss April is not as active outside as normal, she has shown all the attributes of developing into a Woofer who specialises in 'Subtle Sniffs'!

Miss May is the Woofer equivalent of a Boarder Terrier with a Tenacious Attitude!

We have instructed them in all the 'Secret Signs' and now they can talk to other woofers by leaving special signs in the grass!

We also had a visitor today, The Cat Woman, she has come over to play 'Glue Slapping' with The Missus.

Holly and I decided that it would be prudent to keep out of their way 'cos we don't want to end up with glue all over our tails!

Lunchtime we managed to stop OTL from pounding away on the computer and take us out for a walk.

Freddy and Wendy were snoring their tails off  and we decided to let them carry on instead of waking them from a super ferret slumber!

We enjoyed going down to a part of the Sea Wall we normally miss with the ferrets. Holly and I had a great time catching on the sniffs!

Just a sniff!
We didn't hang about too much 'cos the sky looked like it had some rain up in the cloud and was getting ready to dump in down on us!

Gloomy or wot?
Back home it was Doggy Scoff so I went on the hunt for any Ferret Stash I could find. There was some in the office and TM's store room and behind the curtains down in the lounge and behind the Butchers Block!

It's just a case of using your nose and knowing where to look!

Mind you, if I'm in luck OTL may have some dinner I can mug!

See you tomorrow and we should have some news on April and the vet!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

We've been visiting!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Yes! I Know! Late again!

Blame it all on Alun and Glynis, they made us so welcome that we stayed too long visiting and having a woofing good time!

We have been waiting for the vet to call regarding April but it seems that his 'Phone a Vet' is away or having the weekend off, so we will have to wait until Monday when Old Two Legs will phone him!

Just to be on the safe side and as it was a bit cold today, OTL let April off the morning walk and instead took May on her own!

One thing that May does very well is to gallop! She doesn't run, she gallops! Then when we stop, she has to join us in hunting sniffs!

I can see that it won't be long before her and April make 'Honory Woofer' status!

I like being a Woofer!
Back home Freddy Boy has been hiding bits of chicken strips all over the place. Trouble is, both May and Wendy go searching for these tasty morsels and when Freddy goes back to where he stashed them, they've gone!

It was here, I know it was here, now it's gone!
May being the sneaky one has suggested that it might be the Nargles!

She then did a very good impression of a Nargle pinching Freddy's slurp of Ferretone!

Nargles Love Ferretone you know!
That May is getting just too clever for her own good!

When we were visiting Alun and Glynis, we also met Warren and Lisa-Marie. Now Lisa is dead keen on horses and keeps her horse in a big stable. Trouble is, with the feed sometimes dropping on the floor, there is always a passing rat to eat the dropped grain. So, to get rid of the rat someone has suggested that a few drops of Ferret Poo scattered around will deter rats from coming around. Now, just where can we get a ton or two of Ferret Poo?

Given a couple or three days we reckon our little ferrets could help out with a donation or six!

Mind you, there were some strange sniffs in the woods close to Aluns place but Holly reckons that it is weasels or maybe a stoat or two!

I'm not so sure myself!

Well, I think it is more than likely to be a Nargle!
We are off to bed now 'cos we are all tired!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy(Still beating up Freddy) and Freddy de Ferret.

Not the best day we have had!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

Well, today has been one of those 'Ever Decreasing Circles' type of day. We were up really early to get our walk in before Wendy was off to the vets. I tell you, weeing in the dark is no fun! We all managed to get back with thirty minutes to spare, so it was a gentle drive for April.

The vet had another go at listening to her heart and pronounce that she had a 'Heart Murmur' and that her tummy was full of fluid!

Not a good thing!

Having a dickey heart also means that she is not getting enough oxygen in her blood system and that is the reason she sleeps so much and seems to have lost her 'Sparkle'!

Old Two Legs agreed to an x ray and an ultra scan on her to see what was going on, he will get the full results and get a look this evening when he visits the vet.

The vet is to 'Phone a Vet' who is into ferrets for some advice on medication. If there is history of heart problems and a drug has proved to be of help then we have a good chance of keeping April around for some time but we won't know that until this evening.

OTL is not very happy at the moment, as he says, he has lost three ferrets in five months and that hurts.

We are all keeping our claws crossed that the 'Phone a Vet' will come up with something.

April says that she didn't mind the x ray 'cos she got a good slurp of Ferretone that OTL had left with the vet but the scan involved having the hair shaved off her tummy and now she is feeling the drafts!

On a brighter note, OTL found Freddy and Wendy cuddled up in the same bed last night and they were still there this morning! Mind you, Wendy still gave Freddy's ears a box when he refused to let her have the chicken strip he was eating!

They have been closer together today and even had a go at playing when they were on a rampage around the house. So we still think there is a good chance they will settle down together and when you think about it, she has been here less than two weeks, so there is plenty of time!

More news tomorrow!

Luv,

It's the fault of OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are, back again!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Well, first the good news!

We have spotted Wendy cuddled up to Freddy in the tray next to the poo tray! OK, not the most desirable residence but it is warm and cuddly in the blanket!

Then today she picked on him again but this time he turned on her hand held her down on the floor with his teeth clamped firmly around her neck. Old Two Legs had to prise them apart and tell them both off!

Will she learn the lesson I wonder?

Yesterday OTL was down the dentist early evening having two fillings done to his teeth. Painful and expensive!

Then he had to take Miss April down to see the vet 'cos she seems to have lost her sparkle and gained a few grammes in weight around her tummy!

The vet couldn't feel any lumps or fluid and was a bit puzzled, just like OTL!

That also messed up the blog yesterday 'cos OTL didn't get back until late and by the time he had his dinner, he was too tired to help me on the laptop!

Too many passwords for my little claws!

We have got to take Wendy back on Friday morning for an x-ray and an ultra scan to see if there is anything wrong.

It may of course just be her putting on weight 'cos she eats too much, but OTL wants to make sure!

This morning on the beach May was playing 'Bulldozers' in the sand, even though it was a little wet and she got 'Buzzed' by a couple of woofers!

Bulldozers

Lunchtime it was all rush and tear 'cos OTL had to go out working all afternoon, I mean, at his age he should have given up work years ago.

I didn't even start working 'cos it's a nasty habit to get into!

So, back he comes at six thirty, tired and ratty!

So it is his fault we are all behind like a Woofers Tail!

Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Claws crossed for April tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Freddy gets kicked out of bed, Again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

Well, I know you are just dying to hear how Freddy got on last night.

He ended up in on the floor next to the poo pot, until Old Two Legs gathered him up, put him back into the hammock and covered him with a blanket.

That Wendy can be 'Sooo Bossy' sometimes!

Today we were up a little late so we missed the sunrise when we got onto the beach this morning.

We did spot the rain creeping up over the horizon!

We see rain in the distance.
There were a load of sea gulls fighting each other over some slices of bread that had been left on the beach. Holly and I thought it was great fun charging down the beach woofing our tails off and making the gulls fly around waiting for us to leave!

Woof Off!
We got back before the rain arrived so we managed to enjoy a Lambs Heart Meal, without damp tails!

OTL went off to do his poo shovelling duties in the ferret cages and then it was back to work!

Lunchtime came a bit late and we didn't get out at our normal time but Fred and Wendy were more interested in trying to get into the ferret bag but as only one can get in at one time, OTL decided that they both had to walk!

Freddy seems to have a thing about cigarette butts, it must be the sniff 'cos whenever he finds one he has a quick chew!

OTL has his time cut out preventing Freddy form finding the butts but some are hidden behind the weeds on the path!

Hey! I've found another one!
Holly says that he must have a 'Habit'!

Back home Wendy and Fred went into the cage and Wendy headed for the food bowl, as you do!

Fred had a drink and decided he would try to get his favourite sleeping place back off Wendy.

He's a brave Ferret!

Freddy gets kicked out of bed, Again!

Maybe one day they will share a cuddle and a snooze, but it is still early days!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Developments!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Now, you know how much poor Freddy is getting stick from Miss Wendy. She has been attacking him every time their paths cross and even when their paths don't cross, like when Freddy is fast asleep!

Well, last night there was a big noise about eight thirty, then, all peace and quiet. We went up to see if there was any damage but were surprised to find Freddy in the tray next to the poo pot and, tucked up next to him was a little Wendy Ferret!

They were both asleep!

Now this is a first!

Freddy had his head hanging outside the tray, just in case Wendy lunged at him but both were asleep!

We left them alone and just before Old Two Legs went to bed, he checked on them and found that they were still in the tray, cuddled up and Freddy had his head inside the tray!

This morning they were in separate beds again but no fisty cuffs!

The weather has brightened up and the temperature has gone into double figures!

Summer is on it's way!

Almost a Summers Day!
We all had a game on the beach, both ferrets played the 'Let's get back in the bag' game but in the end OTL won that one!

Holly and I were having fun finding the sniffs!

This is a Summer Sniff!
Back home to a good breakfast of Doggy Scoff! You know Holly and I will end up just fading away if this carries on!

Out at lunchtime Wendy and Freddy Boy didn't walk the normal distance along the Sea Wall 'cos there were loads of Woofers out today. We knew most of them and there was one woofer who was smaller than Freddy!

It was great fun to watch Wendy digging into the grass and trimming her claws at the same time.

Freddy tried the old 'I feel faint' trick but we are all up to his tricks and no one took any notice!

Ooooh! I've come over all faint and I need a carry!
Just after we got back home OTL had to go out to one of his customers, so we spent the afternoon snoozing and listening to Freddy snoring!

You know, he is almost as noisy as The Missus!

Let's hope Freddy and Wendy get cuddled up again tonight, at the moment she is in her 'Corner Bed' while Freddy is stretched out on his hammock!

Claws crossed that they get the hierarchy sorted soon!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Miss May joins the SAS Brigade!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Sundays in this household can be fun and today was no exception. I was up good and early, even earlier that Holly Dog who likes to have a lay in on Sundays.

I went hunting around the house and discovered where Holly had stashed her Rawhide Chew!

Well, being such a kind sort of sister, I just had to check it out to make sure it hadn't 'Gone Off' over night.

It was hard work, but I managed!

Mmmm! This bit needs testing some more!
Wendy is still giving Freddy some stick and this morning when Old Two Legs went into the office to say 'Good Morning!' he found Freddy rolled up in the tray next to the poo pot!

Poor lad must have got chased there during the night!

OTL lifted him up and put him back on the hammock where he likes to snooze!

First thing in the morning OTL gets his breakfast from the kitchen and eats it in the office, with May and April running loose. May normally manages to steal a slurp or two from OTL's bowl of rabbit food. Today she had other things on her mind, and this is what happened!

May joins the SAS Brigade

OTL says that he should have played the Mission Impossible music but he couldn't find it anywhere!

We are off to watch the next episode of Star Wars now that Holly and I have made a Light Sabre each!

See you tomorrow!

Before we go, did we ever show you the picture we have of Izzy?

All together.....Aaaaah!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Naughty Wendy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

Saturday, so The Missus is off to play Glue & Glitter at the village hall. That means we get to have a lazy day with Old Two Legs!

Well, we had a lazy day, OTL was cleaning out the ferret cages from top to bottom!

Good news! OTL took delivery of the set of DVDs for the Star Wars films, so we know what we will be watching tonight!

Do you think there are any Jedi Ferrets?

The weather has brightened up and it was almost warm down on the beach this morning. Both May and April had a game of Bulldozers!

The secret is to use your nose!
After that they both went of rock climbing along the Sea Wall!

Look! No Crampons!
Holly and I were wondering why the Wormy Men were running back, but then we saw the tide coming in!

It was a close thing!

They look funny running in wellies!
We have been watching Fred and Wendy 'interacting' and it seems that Wendy is the one doing the aggressive bit, but, we did see Freddy eating a bit of a Chicken Strip that Wendy had tucked into a corner for later.

Freddy found it and was chomping away when Wendy realised what he was doing!

That was it, in she went trying to get her Chicken Strip away from Freddy.

Now, Freddy is a gentle soul and has very simple loves in his life, cuddles, sleeping and FOOD!

Wendy didn't stand a chance, every time she lunged at him, he spun around and shoved her out of the way!

She was not a Happy Ferret!

He was!

He finished it in next to no time!

Lunchtime we were a bit late in going out 'cos OTL had spent so much time 'Shoveling Poo'!

When we did get down onto the beach we kidded Wendy that the water was warm and gentle.

Off she went, marching down the beach to investigate the waves that were lapping onto the shore.

'I'm not scared of you' she called out as she marched further down the beach, until that is, the water lapped onto her paws!

I'm not scared of you!
Then she got all her paws wet and ran back up the beach saying 'That's Horrible!'

That is HORRIBLE!
We all had a laugh, including Freddy who had got his paws wet last week!

They both had a run along the Sea Wall and even spent some time digging in the grass!

Wendy said that she had never been digging before, except in her cage but it wasn't the same as this grass!

There is so much to dig in!
Back home they were so tired in fact Wendy fell asleep in the Ferret Bag on the way home!

As soon as they got in their cage they were asleep and I don't think we will hear anything from them until tomorrow morning!

Holly and I got a treat when TM came home, we got a Rawhide Chew!

So, we are set for tonight, Star Wars, Rawhide and a comfortable sofa, what is better?

Now, we have had a meeting and have decided that Mr Nipper is best left with Archie Babe 'cos there will be a terrible kerfuffle if he came across Wendy, especially if he has any food on him!

We were going to sing Happy Birthday to Auntie Chris but she has gone away on holiday so we will have to wait until we see her again.

We are off now to watch the film, so, bye bye for now and............

Let The Force Be With You!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Two steps forward, One step back!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy De Ferret!

We managed to get through the night without any scuffles from Fred and Wendy!

When Old Two Legs went into the office Freddy was on his hammock waiting for his morning tickle and a scratch on the back of his neck!

It was raining in the South East but Old Two Legs spotted a 'Window' on the rain radar and off we went for our walk, without our rain coats!

We got to the Sea Wall and looked up the Medway to see a big rainy cloud heading towards us!

That was it, we didn't hang about, even May said it was a 'good idea' to get back home!

Here comes the rain!
Back home we all headed for our cushions after the cages were all cleaned out and the ferrets tucked up OTL tried to get some work done!

Lunchtime Wendy was awake and in a good mood, you could tell that 'cos she crept up on Freddy, who was tucked up in his hammock, then she gave his ear a lick and backed off. Then she spoilt it, she went back for a second lick, woke Freddy up who then almost fell out of bed! It was only OTL standing there with the door open and his hands out to catch him as he flew out of the cage!

OTL spent some time with them in the kitchen where there was plenty of space to run around. Wendy tried a couple of times to get to Fred's ear but OTL was holding her and he stopped any contact!

Lunchtime we were back down the beach where Fred and Wendy said that they didn't fancy playing bulldozers today 'cos there was rain in the air and they would rather be back in bed!

They did have a walk along the Sea Wall and a dig in the weeds that grew out of the cracks in the the concrete. It won't be long before their claws are trimmed to the correct lengthy, naturally!

Wendy is still almost overawed at the amount of space there was in the world and can't wait until the warm weather arrives so she can enjoy sniffing in the long grass!

There is so much of it!
Walking along Fred and Wendy kept passing each other and at one point, Freddy was Butt sniffing!

Wendy took a couple of dives at Freddy's ear but again, OTL had a tight hold on the lead so she didn't get to him!

That didn't stop Freddy from keeping a close watch on where Wendy was!

OK, where is she now?

Now I suppose you are asking how OTL gets tow ferrets to the beach who, if left alone, would be trying to beat each other up?

Easy!

Freddy is in the travelling cage and Wendy is clipped to a chain inside the ferret bag! You keep seeing her head popping up over the top to see where we were!

Of course, after all that exercise, she slept all the way back home!

That's where we are at the moment, everyone is snoozing and I'm off to see what is for dinner and if I can get any of it! Ever since Holly went on this diet, muggings have been few and far between 'cos OTL didn't want Holly to get upset seeing me eating and there being nothing for her!

Not that it would have bothered me!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy.

Getting to Know You!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy De Ferret!

We have been having some fun today! You see, last night Freddy and Wendy were a bit tired after yesterdays activity and they both went to sleep and didn't wake up until this morning when Old Two Legs went into the office to say Good Morning to everyone!

That's when the fun started!

Freddy was saying Good Morning to Old Two Legs and getting a tickle around the back of his ear when Wendy came flying out of her sleeping bag and went for Freddy! Poor Freddy didn't know what hit him!

He leaped up into the air, did a 'Fear Fart' and covered Wendy then flew through the open door into OTL's arms!

May and April were wide awake by now and were tearing around their cage trying to find out who had made the terrible sniff!

Freddy got chased all over the cage and ended up in the Corner Bed with his ears out of reach and his butt hanging out the door! Lucky for him his butt was big enough to block the entrance and Wendy got fed up with OTL picking her up and moving her to another shelf! So she settled down to eating her breakfast and keeping an eye on any movement from Freddy's Butt!

We went out for our morning walk with May and April leaving Fred and Wendy with The Missus who promised to keep an eye on them.

A Walk on the Beach

It was a bit chilly and April decided about half way around the Sea Wall that the Ferret Bag was the most comfortable place to be!

Back home May and April spent all their time peering into Fred and Wendy's cage trying to 'eye ball' Wendy!

Come on Where is She?
Fred was fast asleep and trying very hard to ignore the  noise being made by May and April as they were rattling the cage walls!
Wakey Wakey!
When it was Fred's turn to go on the rampage, OTL let him go on a wander while Wendy was kept in the office to explore her new world. After cleaning the cage OTL took Wendy downstairs to the kitchen where there were some Brambles Biscuits in a bowl and a big bowl of water. Freddy was having a nibble when OTL put Wendy down on the floor near to Freddy. He turned his head, saw Wendy, went Oh! Oh! and headed towards the door!

Unfortunately the door was closed so he hid behind the waste bin!

After a little wandering around and chasing Fred, Wendy climbed onto a pile of our towels and settled down to a snooze!

OTL took them both back up stairs and put them back into the cage again.

That's when it started again. Wendy went after Fred again and May and April were tearing around their cage yelling out 'Fight! Fight! Fight!'

Things settled down for a while and OTL found Snowflakes harness and adjusted it to fit Wendy and left her to get used to it!

OK, what do we do now?
Lunchtime came and Fred was put in the travelling cage while Wendy was clipped onto the chain inside the ferret bag and off they went!

Wendy wasn't too sure about the big open spaces and the sniffs were all new to her as well.

Now this is BIG!
First of all it was down to the beach for a play in the sand and sniff the sea weed. Next it was a run along the Sea Wall to start to rub down Wendy's claws. Freddy was still getting the occasional lunge from Wendy but he managed to run all the way from one set of steps to the other, as normal. Then they were both picked up and carried for a while before walking half way up the grass path and heading back to the car park.

Freddy manages a Butt Sniff!
Wendy was playing at hiding and looking out for a good place to spring an ambush!

I'll jump out on him from here!
After a while, Wendy was getting a bit tired and Holly had got fed up with waiting for the ferrets to catch up.

OTL relented and carried them both back to the car park. On the way back Freddy positioned himself on OTL's arm and gave Wendy's ear a licking!

There was nothing she could have done to stop him!

On the way back home, Wendy fell asleep in the bag, well I don't suppose she has had much exercise and all that fresh air knocked her out!

Back in the cage Wendy had a token chase around the cage but OTL was ready for her and Freddy managed to get out of the cage and into OTL's arms in double quick time!

After a while she fell asleep in her corner bed and Freddy  crawled into his Cuddle Cup and they both fell asleep!

Then, without any warning Wendy was out and chasing Freddy down stairs to the Poo Pots, then she enjoyed a feed at the food bowl!

She is a bit of a bully!

We are not sure how long it is going to take for them to settle down but we are keeping our claws crossed 'cos they are not always fighting, so it is a case of establishing a hierarchy!

So that's it for today, OTL working and us Woofers snoozing!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy De Ferret.

Welcome to Miss Wendy!

Hi Woofers!

The Gang is back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy De Ferret!

Yep! You are right, there is a new name on the list!

Freddy has been all excited this morning and both May and April have been winding him up by giving him some tips on how to make friends with a lady ferret. According to May and April it all involves butt sniffing and ear licking and giving up your Chicken Strip Treat!

Freddy says he is OK with that, except the bit about the Chicken Strip! Mind you, he did say he would share it, providing he got first nibble!

Down on the beach May was charging about and Old Two Legs took some video of her getting a wet paw as the waves came in!

You will have to wait until tomorrow for that 'cos we are all behind like a Woofer Tail!

Lunchtime Holly and I escorted Freddy Boy over to the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue, made sure his fur was brushed and he had clean paws, patted him on the butt and sent him to meet Miss Wendy!

There were several mighty big woofers in cages giving us and OTL some serious woofing, so Holly and I stayed in the car, with the windows wound up!

After a while, OTL came back with Freddy and Wendy and put them both in the big travelling cage together to see what would happen.

Now, two things can happen, first is 'Warfare' where they fly at each other and a big fight starts over the 'Territory'  which is the cage. At this point they are separated and it's back to the drawing board!

The next thing that can happen is, loads of butt sniffing, investigating all over each other. Now that is a good sign!

That is what happened when Wendy and Freddy joined each other in the clean cage. You see, OTL had cleaned the cage out and washed the bedding and put new food in the bowl and clean water in a well washed water bottle and..... well, there were no ferret sniffs in the cage, so it was 'Netural Territory!

After a while Wendy tried to give Freddy's ears a good licking, which is a sign of dominance but Freddy wasn't having any of that and gave her a perfect 'Butt Shove' which knocked her out of the bedding and into the poo pot!

So it went on like that for about half an hour while we all watched. In the end they both snuggled under the bedding and had a snooze!

It was declared to be a success, so home comes Miss Wendy.

By the way, it was OTL who decided on her name 'cos she came with no name as she was found wandering in the open and handed it to somewhere and finally found her way into the Harrietsham Rescue Centre.

While OTL was there he handed in a couple of donations from the Crafty Ladies, there was Di Ward who sold some of her cards and decided the ferrets could do more with the donation than she would. The other donation came from The Missus who sold off some stamps and stuff she no longer had any use for and the money also found it's way into the 'Donation Pot'!

Chris and Roy say thanks for the donations as every little helps keep the centre running for lost and abandoned ferrets!

By the way, the previous owners of May and April were told about this blog, so they may drop in to see what is happening to these two tearaways!

On the way home OTL telephoned the vet and got an appointment to get Miss Wendy a jab to prevent her getting Distemper and some other nasty bugs! So, that it why we are terribly late in getting the blog up and running!

Now, I know you are all wondering what Wendy looks like and we apologise 'cos we have only managed to grab a quick photo while she was investigating her new home, so, here is the little lady!

Miss Wendy having a sniff!
So, sorry for the lack of photos, I expect there will be loads for you to see in the near future but first our little lady has to settle down to life in our house!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy De Ferret.

Epic films today, who needs the Oscar's?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy the Ferret are back!

It was Freezing this morning, in fact it was so cold that Old Two Legs let Miss April to stay in bed while Miss May, Holly and I went out in the cold!

It was so cold that OTL stopped to take a photo of the Isle of Grain from Allhallows!

Now this is High Pressure!
Down on the beach we spotted a swan who was calling out for his mates but there were no swans for miles!

I think I'm lost!
Holly did suggest either he or his mates were a bit lost!

Holly said that it would be a good idea if May went out to tell the swan that there were more of his kind up river.

Unfortunately, May didn't think much of that!

Think again Holly Dog! I'm not going anywhere near that over sized chicken!

Back home OTL was set to work on The Missus's epic and finally got it uploaded to Yoo Toob and if you want to see it it's here!

Part One & Two

Not to be outdone, OTL has used the video from his camera to put together a short video of Freddy learning that his legs are made for walking and the big wide world is to be enjoyed!

Click here ->  Freddy learns to walk!

Now, while we are talking about Freddy, tomorrow afternoon he will be going out with OTL to meet a lady, that is Freddy doing the meeting, not OTL!

So, soon he may have someone to cuddle up to at nights!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy.

Quiet on Set, Take Two!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy Boy!

It's Monday and Old Two Legs is back to the filming of Old Inky Fingers!

Well, the good news is that the filming is 'In the Can' and OTL is working on editing it. He has reassembled his office and got rid of all the inky finger marks from his desk. We have vacuumed all the glitter up and got the bottle of glue taken away. Mind you, she never used the glue, I suppose it was there as a threat!

Bad news is, OTL has taken some photos (Hurrah!)  Some are video and he hasn't had time to put them onto Yoo Toob! (Boo!)

You will have to wait until tomorrow to get them!  (Shame!)

Still, we had a good walk this morning and April was showing off big time! She refused to walk anywhere until she got to the last bit and only then it was for a little distance!

She said it was just too cold!

I don't do Cold!
Mind you, the sun had got up but was having problems warming up as well!

Another chilly morning!
Although there was no frost this morning I reckon there will be some tomorrow, so that means April will get let off doing any walking and OTL says that she can stay in bed!

That doesn't go for the rest of us, we still have to go for a run!

Lunchtime Freddy Boy was out and charging about, well not to begin with and he was not going to play Bulldozers either!

No, I'm on strike, no holes today!
At this point I could have showed you some video of Freddy jogging along the Sea Wall of the Grass Path or even down the hill from the bench but because The Missus is showing off, we can't show it until tomorrow!

Back home OTL has been slaving away over the computer, we reckon he should print out the instructions for the editing program but he doesn't have the time, TM wants it all up and running tomorrow!

Another thing, it will be in two parts, mainly 'cos we can't get TM to talk quicker and slosh the Gesso with a bit more flair!

So, with a bit of luck part one and part two gets released tomorrow!

Just keep your claws crossed!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy Boy!

It's all go here!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy back again!

We love Sundays, we all get up late, except The Missus who gets up when it is still dark!

The ferrets get left in the dark so they can wake up when the sun gets up, a sort of 'natural' way for a ferret to wake up!

However, after a rampage around Old Two Legs office and an early breakfast, the ferrets reckon they can really enjoy another snooze while OTL drives them to the beach!

When we get there what did they say?

Just a few minutes more!
Not that they got a snooze 'cos OTL got them out and off they went on the morning run!

April wasn't too impressed and after a wee and a poo decided that the best place to be  is inside the bag! Even a game of 'Bulldozers' was cut short when April decided that digging in wet sand made her paws cold!

OK, that is the exercise, now, can we get back in the bag?
April got back in the bag and only stuck her nose out. That was until we got to the bench on the hill when OTL says that they have to walk the rest of the way back to the car.

It's at this point both ferrets recognised the sniffs and ran almost all the way back to the car!

Back home the poo pot saga is on going! Freddy has just one poo pot with cat litter in it to soak up the sniff. Next to his poo pot is another tray but with high sides and he can't get over the side, so, he goes into the one with litter in and does his business there! Success!

The Page 3 Girls are another story. The poo pot is first of all left with no litter in it, until, one of them stops kicking it around the cage and does a wee. Then OTL puts just a handful of litter in to soak up the fluid. Then over night they both use the poo pot. One of the ferrets still kicks the tray out of the corner and does a little pile behind the tray!

I told you those ferrets were sneaky!

Lunchtime came and Freddy was invited out for a run and today he was a star!

On the beach he was playing at 'Bulldozers' and had a great time digging up the sand!

This is how its done!
Then he walked, almost all the way along the sea wall section of the walk. OTL picked him up for a cuddle as a reward for walking along the concrete section. When we got to the grass path he walked all the way back to the car park!

OK, I'm coming!

That was some walk for Freddy!

He is getting into this walking lark big time!

Now, yesterday we had a visit from Mike and Sue on their way to visiting the local Slough Fort. When they were in the U.S.A. Sue brought a 'Racoon Toy' for Holly and I. Holly thought it looked like a ferret but I had to point out the rings on its tail! See, ferrets don't have tails like that!

Well, I think it is fantastic and have spent hours playing with it 'cos it has a 'Squeeky' thingy in the end of its tail and on in its head!

It is so funny!

I've called it Roger the Raccoon!

Me and Roger having a rest!
OTL got a surprise yesterday, TM was doing a 'Master Class' and Auntie Karen made a birthday card for OTL using the method TM was teaching! Looks dead Posh!

OTL has asked me to say 'Thank You' to all who have wished him a Happy Birthday and thanks for the cards and the bottles of Malt Whisky!

Well, actually he didn't get any whisky but he did get a ton of Short Bread!

We got a nibble of his Plawns and a good helping of Plawn Clackers as well, in fact, we all pigged out and spent most of the evening burping!

OTL has set up the studio ready for TM to do another Yoo Toob film, so we expect to see some results in a couple of days, fingers crossed!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy The Fit Ferret!

Sorry!

Hi Woofers!

We are still here! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy Boy!

It was all The Missus's fault! You see she wanted to get a Yoo Toob film made on 'A Master Board Technique' but being TM she went gassing on and on and the film ended up being twenty minutes long! Poor Old Two Legs was having loads of trouble editing it and on a couple of occasions, when he 'Saved' the epic, it got all lost and we haven't seen it since!

So, he worked on the film, didn't switch off the computer, didn't allow Daisy Dog onto the Laptop to do her blog and ended banging head against the wall!

In the end, OTL downloaded a 'Trial' Video Editing Program and went to town last night. Only problem was, after getting rid of all the pauses, hiccoughs, silly jokes and 'ummmmms and errrs' we got it down to fifteen minutes, but it looked and sounded like rubbish!

OTL deleted the whole lot and TM is going to do another one next week!

So, finally I have got back on the Laptop!

What has been going on down on the beach? Well Freddy Boy has been improving on his jog along the Sea Wall but he still reckons he is not built for jogging!

I'm just not designed for jogging!
The only way OTL gets him to jog is for OTL to go to the end of the extending lead, crouch down and when Freddy runs up thinking he is going to get a lift, OTL gets up and moves a bit further down the Sea Wall. Freddy falls for it every time and although it takes ages for him to cover the distance, he does so in the end and gets rewarded with a carry and a cuddle, until the grass path comes into view!
Then it's back to walking again, but this time he does get some sniffs to play with!

This morning we had some fun. Remember that Happy Birthday Song we sang for Archie Babe? Well, we saved it up and sang it to OTL this morning! Then we kicked him out of bed and went back to sleep!

Because of that, we were out early this morning and caught the sunrise over Sheerness. Now, I've nothing against Sheerness but it's not the sort of place you would go for a holiday, but, it does do some lovely sunrises!

Sunrise over Sheerness.
Remember OTL has been having trouble with the ferrets and their use, or lack of use of the poo pots?

Seems that he may have made some progress. Ferrets will normally poo in one place as a sort of 'Marker' or like an Otter, a spraint. Now no animal will poo in the bedding where it sleeps, so OTL had filled the 'Sleeping Level' with sleeping stuff, like Cuddle Cups and Corner beds and blankets and cushions, in fact there is nowhere for a ferret to see the floor!

This means that the ferrets, May and April, go down to the bottom floor where there are two poo pots but one has a towel in it folded to be a bed!

That leaves one poo pot in the corner, with just a sprinkle of cat litter to soak up the sniff.

Result is that so far, the poo pot is being used although there are occasions when the poo pot gets kicked out of the way and a wee or a poo is deposited in the corner but mostly it is the poo pot that is getting used!

Now we don't think this is the end of the saga 'cos these ferrets are sneaky little things but it is going to be fun seeing how they will react in the coming days!

We left April at home this morning when we went out 'cos it was terribly cold and she doesn't do cold and looks so unhappy when OTL gets her out of the bag! So, just for her, it was a warm bed in the cage and it was all hers, until May came back!

Lunchtime we took Freddy out for a walk 'cos he needs the exercise but even he said it was too cold to be fun!

When does Summer arrive?
Today Freddy walked even further along the Sea Wall, with a little help from OTL, but once he got onto the Grass Path, he walked almost all the way back to the car!

OTL had to pick him up for a few steps 'cos there were three 'Sausage Dogs' running around and we hadn't met them before!

After they had gone Freddy was back down on the ground and running. He was really enjoying this run! I suppose having the sun on his back and the bushes blocking the wind made it all enjoyable!

We ran along with him and we even had OTL breaking into a trot!

When we got back to the car Freddy was straight into the water bowl for a slurp!

I need this!
Back home we met Mike & Sue who were off for a visit to the local Slough Fort which is running an 'Open Day' to see all the repairs that have been done to this old gun emplacement.

Next it was off to the village hall to pick up TM who has suggested that we get a Chinese Takeaway this evening so if our luck is in we may get a King Plawn and some Plawn Clackers!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy Boy.

Just One of Those Days!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy here!

First of all, sorry the blog is late today, blame Old Two Legs for that, he has been slaving away over the film in the 'Cutting Room' trying to stitch together the bits for The Missus. It has been a long wait for me to get hold of the computer!

Here we are, back on the blog again!

Now, another 'First Thing'!

Good Morning Tabor Tooth, just getting up as we are going to bed!

This morning we were getting up just as she was going to bed!

Thinking about that makes my head wobble!

Down on the beach it was cold, not frosty, just wind blowing cold and none of us wanted to hang about!

The beach had been washed clean and it looked very pretty in the morning sun!

We like clean beaches!
Mind you, Old Two Legs was faced with a bit of a rebellion, both May and April decided it was warmer back in the bag and both mugged OTL for the bag!

There was no way he could refuse, mind you, it did help when both ferrets threatened to bite his butt if they weren't allowed back into the warm!

Open the bag, OR Else!
Miss May jumped out as soon as she got to the grass path but April stayed inside and refused to come out. Now that was OK but half way home in the car she did a poo in the carry cage and messed up all the bedding, which didn't please May or OTL who had to clean it all up!

Back home the Page 3 Girls had a change around in their cage and were out rampaging around the house for ages waiting for OTL to finish and as soon as he put the last shelf up they were straight into bed and asleep before the cage door was closed!

Because of this, Freddy didn't get his rampage around the house, so, we were out a bit earlier for the midday walk. It was still sunny but a bit chilly!

Freddy investigated the beach again but couldn't spend too long on the sand 'cos the tide was coming in and he didn't want to get his paws wet!

OK, very interesting but can we get a bit higher up the beach?
Freddy was in good form today and walked or waddled a bit further than yesterday and even had a jog along the Sea Wall!

Back home OTL was instructed to 'Get his Tail in Gear' and get the film sorted, so most of the afternoon was spent on the computer.

As we got close to the car park, we were all trotting along when we bumped into a pair of Two Legs with a Little Two Legs. OTL called to us to get a move on and used our names, so it was, 'Daisy, come on', Holly, come on, here!' and 'Freddy! Come on boy'!

This seemed to amuse the TL, 'Hey!' he says to his mini TL 'Look, it's Freddy the Ferret!'

Now, you know what we are going to call him now!

In his effort to make the cage 'Interesting' OTL has placed the Poo Pots in the Page 3 Girls cage, just where they have been poo'ing on the cage floor.

So, both April and May decided that they would now have a change and poo in the other corner and the Poo Pot would be a great place to................

A New Use for the Poo Pot!

So, as we head off to bed, the Page 3 Girls have poo'd all over the floor and so far left the poo pots as clean as when OTL placed them in the corner at lunch time!

I can see there is going to be more fun with these Poo Pots before the game is over!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April and Freddy the Ferret!
