A Very Happy New Year to you all from Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Fred & Wilma!
Last night there was some early evening Whizz Bangs and Holly got a bit shaky but after we went to bed, she cuddled up to Old Two Legs and soon fell asleep. What she didn't hear was the 'Official' Whizz Bangs that went off at midnight! I did but I soon fell asleep again!
This morning we were out a bit earlier 'cos OTL got a good sleep last night and we were very glad he did 'cos we saw a spectacular sun rise today, the first day of the New Year!

Down on the beach both ferrets said it was just too cold and they even convinced OTL to carry them up to the grass path!
Holly was playing the Tart again 'cos she met up with Bert on the Sea Wall. Bert is not allowed off the lead so Holly tarts about teasing him something rotten!

The wind was getting up and indeed it was beginning to feel too cold for walking, well, that's what Freddy said but OTL still insisted he climb all the way up the grass path to the top!
Poor Freddy, he kept on asking for his 'Climbing Gear' to help him get to the top!

That was going well until a couple of Two Legs stopped OTL and wanted to talk about ferrets, starting off with 'Will they bite me'!
You would have thought that by now that they would have got the message!
Ferrets only bite when they are eating, the rest of the time it is signal nips!
Like:-
Don't do that, I don't like it, nip!
You made me jump, nip!
That hurt, nip!
This is fun, playful nip!
Come on play with me, playful nip'
Come on Woofer, get out of my way, nip!
It's all good fun really and let's face it, you don't have ferrets and expect never to get a nip!
It's an occasional nip that lets you know they care for you!

Sorry to hear the whizz bangs upset Holly last night, we had them here all evening, they are a pest. Good to hear you all got a good sleep, does that mean that OTL isn't coughing as much? Hope so. Lovely pictures today, that sunrise looks very nice. It was a tad cold on the tootsies this morning wasn't it. I don't blame Miss April for wanting a carry today. Good old Fred, glad to see he's still trying to think of excuses not to go walking on the cold ground. That Holly is such a tart, not a lady like you Daisy. Some TL's do ask some daft questions. Nipper has slept all day today, I think the whizz bangs kept him awake, he also wanted to get out and chew the bozos who were letting them off. My mum said he had to be a good boy or the policeman might come and take him off to prison. Nipper reckons that's no problem, he says he can chew thru any bars. Anyways, it's time for Nipper and me to do a patrol of the garden. ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious sunrise to start the new year. We had a few whizz bangs here but we are used to things like that because we have fighter jets practicing in the skies in the summer and they make an awful racket. Holly is such a floozy and that Fred is really trying it on with OTL even if it was chilly. Thank you for the lesson on ferret nipping. I'll try to remember it if I meet any around here. We do have a lot of weasels and stoats but I don't think I want to test it out on them. Hope you get some muggings tonight. My mum gave us carrot sticks last night...I think she may have been sneakily reading your blog. I did enjoy the carrot but I don't want to eat them all the time. Have a good day tomorrow. ReplyDeleteGlad OTL remembered his camera this morning, so worth it. Can he remember to take it every day? Let's see, how long will it be! We had a super duper whizz bang evening, you would not have liked it but we thought it fantastic and the best we have ever seen. Have a happy day tomorrow, be good, how is Holly's diet doing? xxxxxx
