Thirsty Work!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here!

First thing this morning it was a bit misty but it soon cleared, just in time for our morning walk.

When we got to the car park I spotted a load of rabbits munching away at the grass. I told Holy to go and sniff the car park while I plotted a plan to get them before they got to their warrens!

If I can make it to that bench without them seeing me I'm in with a chance!
Well, I stood there waiting for them to calm down a bit but then Old Two Legs arrived with May and April and that was it, off the rabbits went like someone had set fire to their tails!

Next time I'll get them!

Down on the beach the tide was well out and Holly decided to have a sit down and watch the birds out on the mud.

Look! There's a curlew over there!
May was doing her digging in the sand while April sneaked back into the bag again!

OK, here we go, another hole!
We met up with a couple of woofers on the way back and both ferrets got a carry all the way to the bench!

From there, OTL put them back down and they ran all the way back to the car!

Lunchtime the sun had come out and we all headed off to the beach again. Fred and Wendy took a little while to wake up but once they got out of the ferret bag they proceeded to start digging a hole to make a sand castle.

I'll do the Moat, you do the Motte!
The tide was in and I had a little paddle but again it was just too rough to go in swimming.

Holly was up for a bit of Dig & Whizz so we charged up and down the beach.

Come on, let's Dig & Whizz!
Freddy was well impressed with the size of the Sea Kale plant and how much it had grown.

This is some plant!
Holly and I were still playing the Whizz bit of the game 'cos we had run out of beach!

And now for a Fast Whizz!
Freddy walked almost all of the way back to the car. There was a bit in the middle that both ferrets got a carry, yes, another woofer!

It was a whopping great Fox Terrier, it looked the size of a horse! Well Holly being Holly started to woof at him while OTL gathered up the ferrets to get past him!

Back at the car Holly and I jumped into the back of the car while Fred and Wendy had a good slurp from our water bowl!

I really need this!
Once the ferrets have finished both Holly and I had a good slurp as well!

We went off to deliver some stuff in town and then it was back home for a snooze before dinner!

Tomorrow there is a chance of rain and even a thunder storm or two! That would be fun!

Good news about Bella and her forthcoming arrival, she will need loads of cuddles for a while, until she settles down!

Who knows, we might even meet her when we are on holiday!

Archie is a lucky lad, having frogs he can show the gardening man, all our frogs are in hiding. We put the frog spawn in and they turned into tadpoles then we spotted just one frog.

Next we put in four grown froggies in the pond and other than seeing them when we put them in, we haven't seen them since!

Frogs Gone!

OTL says he might give up on frogs and concentrate on dragonflies!

Now we are off to see what we can mug off OTL dinner plate!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties down by the seaside. Hasn't it been warm today. Glad to hear you all got to enjoy your time on the beach. Shame about OTL frightening off the rabbits though, couldn't you tell him to hang back and be stealthy. Not sure I want it to rain tomorrow although if it is cooler I don't mind. I've got my check up in the morning. Now I bet them frogs are hiding somewhere, I don't think they would leave such a luxury pond and hitch home back to Steve and Marianne. I'm sure they'll be sitting under the plants and having a laugh when you go looking for them. It takes quite a long time for the tadpoles to grow into big frogs, we have some tiny frogs that are the size of a finger nail and it will be a few years before they're big enough to play jumping round the garden with me. Tell OTL he can have dragon flies and frogs, tell him not to give up. Good news to hear that Izzy and Hamish won't have to wait too long for their new playmate to arrive. They can get up to naughty things and blame it on the puppy. I don't think I want a puppy though, I don't really want to share my mum cos I need all the cuddles. Hope the muggings are good this evening. Have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx

  2. Bad luck with those rabbits, fancy OTL pounding in with two ferocious ferrets and scaring them away. Still I expect they were enjoying the sunshine as much as you so all is well really, you can play with them another day. Perhaps the frogs don't like the cold and have migrated to see Hamish and Izzy, I don't blame them in the least. It has been a nice weather day today and I have been out with Margaret to the shops, I couldn't get Michaels' favourite breakfast cereals so bought a packet of Plain Chocolate Digestives instead, not the same I know but we opened them as soon as I got home. Well, you can't put them in a bowl with milk and I did try in four shops. Those sea kale have grown rather big, we went to a beach somewhere in Kent and it was covered with flowering plants, I can't remember where it was but rather amazing. You don't want that many on your beach or you won't be able to dig and whizz. As for the rain, can you guide it over to Essex because they need it there while we need some sunny warmth. Have a lovely mugging, snoozing evening and I will hear from you tomorrow. xxxxxx
