Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!
Well, we have been keeping an eye open out of the window and the sun has shone for most of the day so far.
Looking at the weather radar, we have seen thunder storms all around us but not over the top of us!
Yet!
The temperature is dropping and the barometer is dropping fast, so we may yet get a drop or two!
It was a different story this morning, the ferrets were late in getting up and it seems that everyone was half asleep!
We went out for our walk and instead of the ferrets looking out of their travelling cage window, they both climbed inside the cuddle cup and fell asleep!
are we there yet? |
Once on the sand she had a little scrape of the sand then decided she would get back in the bag until we got to the grass path!
I really can't get in the mood today! |
It was still sun shine, no sign of a cloud, never mind a storm!
We were a little early on the beach and the tide hadn't come in yet and it was all still mud instead of waves!
I suggested that we could dash out on the mud and meet the tide but Holly said that Old Two Legs was just too close and anyway, there was no way she was getting her paws muddy!
Wimp!
Sorry Sis, you are on your own today, he is just behind us! |
Holly says it looks like a Daddy Chimney out for a walk with his children!
Come along kids, keep up! |
Where's Freddy? He's gone! |
Back home OTL had a cunning plan!
He has been thinking about this for some time.
We had got hold of an old stone jar and had put it in the garden expecting the mouses to make a home in it but after a couple of years no mouses had set up home. So, next plan is to make it into a water feature.
OTL reckons if he drills a hole in the side of the jar, attach a pipe to where the hole is and connect the other end of the pipe to one of the water fountains then water would fill the jar and trickle out of the jar and back into the pond!
Then it would look like the jar was keeping the pond full of water!
So, today he started and the first thing that happened was The Missus started to tell him he was doing it all wrong and the jar was in the wrong place and it was leaning over too far and..........
You know we think OTL should go and see the Two Leg vet person 'cos he suddenly went deaf!
He drilled the hole in the side of the jar and attached the pipe to it and plugged it into the water pump. Then just after he had got it all ready to go and was about to plug the power lead in, the sun went behind the clouds and the pump stopped working!
Now we will have to wait until the sun comes out again to see if it all works!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.
Evening little maties down by the seaside where there's no storms yet. Well we had sun for most of the day as well but then this afternoon we could hear the rumble of thunder but it seemed a long way off. It did rain a bit but not a lot and we still keep hearing the odd rumble but it's not here yet. Good to see that you all had some nice time out without any rain. Them ferrets do seem to have a very good life with you, all this riding along inside a ferret bag when they're too tired to walk, shame you and Holly chops can't blag a ride as well. Perhaps poor OTL had a bit of ear ache this afternoon and that's why he couldn't hear. I got on well at the vets this morning, I'm going down to 4 and 3/4 tablets a day for a few weeks, I have to go back in 3 weeks for another check up. I don't think I'll be able to stay away that long cos I'll miss my cuddles so I might just have to go down for a weigh and a sneaky cuddle. The vet is pleased with my weight, I weigh 10.2 kilos and she said I've got a nice little waist so I don't have to drop down any more but I mustn't put any on. I'm off to the groomers on Thursday for a bath ....... yuk and a trim ...... yuk but I will get a cuddle, yayeeeeeee. My boy is due home tomorrow night so my mum is worrying now in case he misses his first plane cos that takes of at 6.00 am American time. He's due to land at 20.10 our time so it's quite a long journey. My mum is off out first thing to try and buy him a new bed cos she was a bit shocked at the state of his bed when she took the bed clothes off, she says it's tatty. I'm not getting a new bed cos she says I've got 3 beds and I don't sleep in any of them very much. Anyways, happy muggings tonight and I hope the storms don't come over your way. Take care and have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteWell firstly the weather, I went to see Jean this afternoon and as I sat there the rain started to pour down it was still drizzly when I left, so you were lucky. If OTL had started the hole drilling earlier then he would have finished it in time, too busy eating breakfast and lunch I suppose. Now we all have to wait until the sun shines again to hear if it works and then wait for him to video in the sunshine so that we can see his creativeness. (He will be making cards and things next).
ReplyDeleteHolly was right not to let you bathe in the mud, you know you would have been in the mire and upset OTL and this would have upset TM and that is not a good thing as it stops her creative juices running and that does not please her because she fills the litter bin with non creations. Archie sounds happy, I always read his comments, I think he should do a blog of his own, good luck with buying the new bed and I hope his boy doesn't have any delays in his flights so he gets more cuddles. As for you two, I have met Piper and he is looking forward to meeting you, he is still fluffy as it is too early for his trim, he is not sure about ferrets and I was telling him and his mum how lovely they are but did point out that they are not as lovely as you. I think it will rain tomorrow so I hope you get some sunshine on your pump, please let there be sunshine, please. xxxxxx
