Didn't it Blow!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Now, normally when we are on holiday we are in some wild and woolly place in the Highlands of Scotland and of course we are expecting winds and rain and snow and stuff like that. Down here in sunny Dorset we were looking forward to some warm sunshine and balmy breezes!

Last night when we went to bed there was a little rain tippy toeing on the caravan roof, a gentle sound to lull us off to sleep.

Then it started, the wind started slowly then sort of built into a howling blast that rattled the caravan and pounded the awning. Then the caravan started to sway and the wind was trying to lift the satellite dish from its flat 'Parked' position and send it off into the sky!

Luckily for us it stayed on the roof but it was beating up and down like a large cymbal!

We didn't sleep too much and both Holly and I cuddled up to Old Two Legs to keep warm and safe!

When the morning arrived, the wind and rain had gone! We were all still hear and OTL said that he had enjoyed his 'Two Dog Night'!

The internet didn't come back until mid morning but by then we had been out for a walk in the field with the ferrets, chasing pheasants!

Not that we caught any!

They went this way!
Mind you the field is big enough to get lost in and once off the lead we could do some serious running!

OTL was wandering along with his camera but we didn't see any of those pheasants but of course, we could see the caravan and The Missus inside having a snooze!

Ours is the one with the satellite dish poking up!

Look, there is TM!
On the way into the campsite we passed a door to a 'Hidden Garden' and of course OTL says he is going to take a picture using his 'Tilt/Shift' lens but today, just to see how it looks in the sunshine, he produced this master piece!

Well, it looks just like a wooden door to me!
The army ranges have been busy since we arrived and for most of the day they have been booming and rattling away with their guns doing wot army types do,  make a lot of noise.

Luckily for Holly, the banging noise they make has not upset Holly, it's those nasty whizz bangs in November that get her upset!

Hey! Bad news for Archie Babe, getting taken to the Poodle Parlour without any prior notice, I mean, a woofer has a reputation to keep up and a good sniff is all part of it!

Tomorrow, providing the weather looks dry enough, we may get down to the sea where all the dinosaurs are hiding and who knows, we might even find a Nargle or two!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties. Ooohhh Daisy it did blow hard last night, I don't think I'd have been happy in a caravan with that wind, I snuggled up right close to my mum. I wasn't going to snuggle with her cos she had me bathed but that wind put the wind up me. I'm glad your dish is still on the caravan, I mean if it had blown away you'd have no telly to watch. Loved the pictures, now all we need is to see a picture of wots behind that gate. You and Holly chops looked like you were really enjoying your run in that field, how are the sniffs in there? I hope the ferrets were inside the caravan and not in the awning last night cos they might have thought they were going to blow away. I was worried that the caravan might have been blown down the slope. Hope you manage to get to the beach tomorrow, do you think the nargles chased the dinosaurs away? I spotted your caravan in the picture but I couldn't quite see Mrs TM snoozing, could OTL get a bit nearer next time please. Hope OTL is feeling better. How's the holiday scoff? Hope there's plenty of it. My mum and my boy are both home tomorrow so I should have a good day of fighting with my boy and cuddling with my mum. I haven't found a decent sniff to roll in yet. I had a good walk this morning though and watched the chaps unloading a new chiller for the shop where my mum works, my mum supervised them from a distance ........... you should have seen the size of the cardboard box it came in, well me and my mum could have had a game of hide and seek in it. My mum has spent the afternoon filling it up with drinks. We're all having an early night tonight cos I don't think any of us got much sleep last night and my boy left home at 5 this morning to go to work. Hope you all have a better night tonight and I hope you've got some decent muggings. Paws crossed for some sun tomorrow. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxxx

  2. Hello in wild and windy Dorset ooh aar, glad you all survived what nature threw at you, it was very unkind of it being as you had only just arrived. Our next door neighbours are in their caravan in the Isle of Wight and had similar weather and their woofer Charlie didn't like it much. That door looks very intriging, I wonder what lies the other side, don't dissappoint us by telling us that it is an ordinary door to a garden, it deserves to be the door to a Secret Garden like the book. Some field and how wonderful that you can go at full pelt, use up some energy and then have a lovely Dorset Cream Tea! Pheasant are such pretty birds but they are so stupid and just sit in the road when cars drive along, I suppose they are so bright because then they have a better chance of being seen. Hope OTL is feeling a bit better and keeps on taking all the lovely pictures to share with us, watch out for those nargels, I have heard the Dorset ones are very mean.... xxxxxx
