We're Here!

Yo Woofers.

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

You know it seems funny that we are not called McDaisy, I mean, normally when we are on hols we are north of the boarder! Well, now we are in Dorset in a place called Kimmeridge or close to Kimmeridge and we can see the sea about two miles away!

Old Two Legs pointed to a place between the hills and said it was called Portland Bill and if we couldn't see it, it was raining and if we could see it, it will be raining soon!

Ho, Ho, Ho, he is such a wag!

When we booked this place we had a choice of pitches and of course OTL chose a 'Flat' pitch but the day before we left we were informed that the 'Flat' pitches were all waterlogged and we had to go onto one of the 'Sloping' pitches.

So, I'm not saying that the pitches have deep slopes but when we go out it is 'Ropes and Crampons'!

OTL had developed a chest infection and is slurping down 'Cough Mixture' which keeps him from coughing too much and so far we have not been woken up at night!

Right behind the caravan there is a whacking great field that is designated as 'Dog Walking Area' it is so full of strange sniffs that Holly and I just don't know where to start!

There are loads of Pheasant birds all over the place, young ones that they look after, feed and care for.
Then later on this year they are all let loose and Two Legs with guns shoot them all!
Sounds a stupid as those TL's up on the Yorkshire Moors who do the same thing!

The pheasants down here have mostly escaped the pens by flying over the top of the fence which is designed to keep foxes out but they haven't got the sense to fly back at night and instead sleep in the undergrowth.

That is where the foxes get them for dinner!

OTL hasn't taken any pictures yet 'cos he has been busy setting up the caravan and awning but with a bit of luck he will be clicking away tomorrow!

Close to us is a place called Durdle Door which in by the sea, so I might get a swim in! Then there is Corfe Castle down the road a bit and The Missus says that 'Monkey World' is not too far away. That should be fun, we could meet some of OTL's relatives!

Right, we are off for a run around the field before the rain arrives!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties. Doesn't all the names have oohhh arrrr in front of them down that way? You could be ooohhh arrr Daisy. Sorry to hear OTL has a chest infection and we all have our paws crossed that it soon goes. We're looking forward to seeing pictures. Mind how you go down the slope, shame you can't just slide gently down it. Watch out if Mrs TM and OTL visit monkey world, you know wot OTL is like for collecting hairy things, he might just come home with an orang-utan and a chimp. My mum reckons it's a good place to get lots of good pictures. Hope the ferrets are enjoying their holiday, is there a ferret walking field? Them poor peasants, eaten by foxes or shot by numpties ......... life don't seem too good if you're a peasant does it. Well, my mum tricked me today, I'm not too pleased with her. See she usually gives me a bit of warning when I go to the groomers but she took me this morning and kept very quiet about it so I didn't have time to work out my cunning plan to escape going. I'm not right happy now, I've been wetted and soaped and trimmed and brushed and I don't sniff like I like to sniff. I've not been allowed in the garden without my mum escorting me so that I can't roll in any sniffs. If she thinks she's getting snuggles tonight, she can think again!!!! See now if you'd have invited me to go on holibobs with you, I wouldn't have been here to be bathed. I hope the weather is better for you so you can go and explore Dorset, there's lots of nice places there, or so my mum says, not that she's ever taken me there. Hope you're getting good holiday scoff and plenty of muggings. Have a lovely evening all and watch out how that caravan slopes, you don't want to slide out. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxxx

  2. Get well soon OTL, your little family need you to look after them xx. I agree with Archie about being Ooh Arrr Daisy now you are in Dorset and there are so many nice places to go and visit. The doggie field sounds good, bound to be lots of good sniffs including pheasant and fox, maybe a rabbit or two as well. Hope the caravan is level so you don't get slipping out of bed, Michael has an app on his phone which is a spirit level, he uses it all the time. Have a great time, waiting for all those wonderful pictures, can't wait xxxxxx
