Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!
Now, you know we were going to see Corfe Castle today? Well, we nearly got there!
You see it all started off this morning as Old Two Legs, Holly and I hadn't got up yet and were looking on the Internetty Thing Googling Corfe Castle and looking at all the pictures of the place.
The Missus sort of marched down the caravan heading for the bathroom, loo and shower.
She came flying out of the bathroom saying it was 'Flooded with Water'! Then she went on about the end of the world and plagues of locust and frogs and a wet carpet!
We weren't too sure what was troubling her more, the frogs or the flood or the wet carpet!
This caravan of ours has a thing about water, if it's not the pump then it's a leak in the system somewhere!
OTL got up, had a wash, in cold water, 'cos TM had forgotten to switch the water heater on!
OTL was not happy!
He doesn't do cold water, especially first thing in the morning!
So, armed with his trusty head torch strapped to his bald spot he dives under the bed and starts to investigate.
Dry floor under the kitchen sink, so, no problems there.
Dry floor around the water pump, no problems there either.
Wet floor around the water tank! Here be the problem!
Well, it seems that there is a leak in the elbow joint where the water comes into the water tank and the leak is only noticeable when the tank is full to the top, like wot it was last night!
So, drip by drip the water found its way out of the tank, and, because the caravan has a slight tilt backwards 'cos we are parked on the side of a mountain, all the water headed back to the bathroom!
This is where TM comes into the picture with the notification that we were 'Flooded with Water'!
So, the bed was stripped of its mattress and stuff so OTL could get under the bed to sort out the leak and after one or two goes decided in the end he had to get some special sealant from the man in the hardware shop in town!
When he got back to the caravan he crawled back under the bed and started slapping the sealant where sealant needed to be slapped and made it look so professional!
Danger! OTL at work! |
You never know, anything can happen down here!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
Evening little maties. Wow, things certainly happen when you lot are around. Poor OTL or is it sneaky OTL, he always seems to be in hardware shops ....... no I'm not saying he's addicted to them, but you've got to think. I seem to remember him fixing something to do with your water on another holiday. OR ........ could it be Mrs TM, is she sure she hit the spot when she sat down to do a tinkle? OTL certainly looks fetching in his head torch, now if he were on the floor here with it on, I'd give his little bald spot a good licking. Did you and Holly chops help? Seems this holiday should be called the great escape ..... there was you and Holly going awol the other day, you going off yesterday and now the water is escaping as well. Not to mention the niff that escaped in the car yesterday ...... nearly forgot that. Hope that's the end of OTL and his diying for this holiday. We've had a quiet day here, one early morning down, 3 more to go ........ my mum is cream crackered already. Paws crossed you make it to the castle tomorrow. Hope it's worth the visit. Have a lovely evening all and hope all is dry in the morning. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper xxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteIt is said that some people have all the luck but unfortunately it is not you or the caravan, I can't believe that you have so many problems with water. So sorry that poor OTL has had to spend more time and pennies de-flooding you. Hope it is all sorted now and that you get to Corfe Castle soon, you are going to have to go come hell or high water (excuse the pun) or you will never get there. Hope you get some nice muggings this evening and that Archie has some cheering news because I have a nasty cold so we haven't gone away 😠😠ðŸ˜. xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI forgot ....... I have got some exciting news ...... Miss Mollie is coming for a visit tomorrow. Hope Mrs Sue feels better soon. xxxxx
