Holly gets into trouble with OTL!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now you know that Holly Chops was taken to the vet to get her eyes sorted and that Old Two Legs cried all the way home? Well, this morning we all took a look at Holly's eyes and they were certainly a lot better looking than yesterday! All the redness had gone and although there was some gungy bits, there was definitely an improvement.

Now we all reckon that Holly brings it all on herself by her habit of nose diving into the sand on the beach and getting that in her eyes.

So, there we were, on the beach this morning and what did old Soppy Chops do? Yep, nose dive into the sand so she had a face full of sand all over her face and around her eyes!

OTL was not happy and told her that if she did it again she would be on the lead all the way home!

Now, the sky was rather dramatic this morning and of course, there was OTL snapping away trying to capture the drama of it all!

Now, it wasn't really as dark as the picture but he did darken it down a bit and also set the white balance to 'Cloudy' to get the effect.

Not bad for an amateur!

Dramatic!
If you turned away from the sun you got this picture below. Now wot is strange about this photo is the grey misty bit in the middle.

Shoebury Ness sort of disappears like it is being rained on, but it didn't  look like rain.......just strange!

It's the Halloween Mist!
Talking of Halloween, we reckon there will be more bangs tonight from those nasty whizz bangs, so OTL got the Adaptil Collar from off the shelf and wrapped it around Holly's neck last night. It seemed to help and she wasn't shaking for too long, but we did all end up in bed by eight thirty!

Now, someone, we can't remember, sent it to us about this time last year but the whizz bangs had all gone, so it was put on the shelf ready for this year. It is supposed to last about four weeks, so that should get Holly Chops through the whizz bangs, with a bit of  luck!

So, a very big thank you from us and Holly Chops for the collar and if you put your paw up we'll send you a big wet sloppy licky kiss from us all, except OTL, he doesn't do licky kisses!

The ferrets seem not to be bothered by the bangs, they are too sleepy to bother with them!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening little maties. I'm pleased to hear that Holly chops eyes were looking better this morning. Now wot about a pair of goggles, when Holly dives into the sand the goggles should keep the sand away from her eyes. I reckon she'd look the bees knees in goggles and the scarf to stop her ear from being scratched. Sorted. Them pictures do look very good. We've been having whizz bangs for the last week, I'm not keen on them but they don't scare me, they just disturb my snoozes which makes me not like them. I hope Holly chops is ok and will be better with the scarf on. It's not nice of the TL's who keep letting them off, I'd bite their butts if I could find them and I know wot my mum would do with their whizz bangs ...... they'd all have very sore butts if my mum got hold of them. My boy has gone off to work again but he'll be home all day tomorrow, so when my mum goes to work, my boy will be around to have snuggles with me and he better not throw me off the sofa again or else. I'm having another early night tonight cos I'm the man of the house while my boy is at work so I have to listen out for intruders. Have a lovely evening all and hope the muggings are good. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and Mr Nipper. p.s. hope little Tommy is feeling better. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Hello everyone. Naughty Holly. Think OTL should borrow a pirate patch to stop her getting the sand in her eyes. Daisy you will have to be her guide though as she won't be able to see. We hope that the adaptil collar helps Holly with the fireworks. Luckily We only have a few on firework night here. It is so unkind of people letting them off on the wrong night. There could be lots of animals out and about on other nights that will be scared. Dad bought some adaptil in a plug to calm the puppies down when they used to get really excited and it works really well. They just went to sleep on their beds so We hope that it helps Holly with the whizz bangs.
We have been out trick or treating tonight. We didn't get any treats though so Bella and I gave them a good woofing which passed around the village until all the dogs joined in. Tommy and Bella went to the groomers for a pamper and Tommy was very happy to go but this afternoon he went all sad again and kept going and lying by himself, whimpering then growling if we came near enough to touch him. Mum thinks it was because the pain killer was wearing off but she can only give it to him once a day. If he does not improve tomorrow, mum will take him back to the vet on Thursday.
Hope you all sleep well and have some good adventures tomorrow. Love, licks sniffs and woods from Izzy and the gang xxxxxxx ps hope little Arch doesn't get pushed off the sofa tomorrow xx

  3. I don't know what the collar is about, you must explain it to me. Glad it helped Holly because the whizz bangs do upset her so much, we heard some on Saturday in Christchurch so our friends took turns in sitting with Harry while the entertainment in the hall was going on. Probably Friday until Sunday will be more whizzes and bangs so hope the collar works for her. xxxxxx
