A Seriously Lazy Sunday!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Today has been one of those really lazy days, you know, lazing about, paws in the air and nibbles on demand!

We were up at the crack of dawn and down the beach before it got light, so no photos of strange things in the air or pretty lights over the water.

We did see the warning lights on the wind powered generators off the coast flash on and off but that was it, no excitement.

We didn't even see a bunny rabbit, mind you, the wind was blowing like mad and it was cold, I mean, like brass monkey weather as Old Two Legs describes it.

Come to think about it, I've never seen a brass monkey who's .............well never mind!

When we got back home Holly's claw was bleeding again so OTL set to with the jar of Vaseline and Holly had to rest on the bed with her paws up, not that she found that difficult!

All the ferrets had a fun time rampaging around the house and to help burn off excess energy they all had a go at chasing and killing one of the 'Cat Tease' we got from Archie Babe at Christmas. Now Miss May wasn't too interested and just gave it a whack with her paw but Eric went potty chasing it all around the shopping bags we have on the floor. Those ferrets just love diving in and out of the bags!

Freddy didn't so much as chase the tease, he sort of ambushed it as OTL dragged it across his nose!

Freddy would grab it, roll onto his back and play 'Keepy Up' with all four paws!

Miss Wendy on the other paw went potty chasing it around and around and around until she got too dizzy and fell over, then she would chase it around but in the other direction and sort of 'unwind' herself!

Lunchtime OTL decided to take us for a walk around the football field behind the houses 'cos he wanted Holly to 'Take it Easy' with her claw.

Lucky for her it was OK when we got back home and The Missus had got the last bar of soap in the local 'Sell it All' shop so OTL dipped it in water and plastered a wodge onto the end of her claw, just in case.

To make sure she rested it, she fell asleep laying on OTL's lap while I fell asleep next to him on the chair!

I will add, OTL also fell asleep!

TM came back later this afternoon after her glue slapping and spotted that Eric had knocked over a half cup of coffee onto her work desk and all over the paper and stuff there. OTL had cleaned it all up but there was a card with coffee stains that TM looked at and said that it looked an 'interesting' pattern!

Looks like Eric has got away with it but we wouldn't recommend he does it again 'cos he could end up roast and boiled!

This is the way to spend a Sunday!

Back to work tomorrow!

Bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties, well wasn't it a cold day today. I went out at 4 am to do a wee but something was under our shed and I was investigating. My mum was jumping up and down and promising me all sorts of treats if I just did a wee quick and come back in but you know me, if there's an intruder around I have to do my job. Funnily enough, I thought my mum looked a bit like a brass monkey when I decided to go back in. We had a right good snuggle and snooze on the sofa when she came home from work, my boy put his head round the door and couldn't see me but he realised I was under the blanket snuggled up to my mum as close as I could get. Sorry to hear that Holly chops claw is still troubling her, well done Mrs TM getting a bar of soap, if Holly licks that she'll be blowing bubbles. Now I reckon OTL should carry her on her walk, I mean, if she was a ferret he would carry her, just cos she's a little bit bigger doesn't mean that her claw isn't sore when she walks. Poor Holly chops. It's my birthday on Tuesday and I'm sure my mum is planning to get me some sort of pressie, trouble is, I've got so many toys she just doesn't know wot to get. Maybe I'll get extra scoff ......... now I wouldn't say no to that. Oh Eric, wot a good job Mrs TM liked the pattern, if she didn't he'd be in real strife. Glad to hear that the ferrets like their toys. Hope you all have a good evening, stay snuggled, get muggings and hopefully it'll be warmer tomorrow. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Hi, all you FLs who’ve been lazing away your Sunday! There wasn’t much lazing about with our feet in the air at the village hall....it was all go but we did have a great time with lots of fun and loads and loads of mess! And we made a few masterpieces along the way. Norma and I had a near disaster on the way home round about Halling I think. The sun was so big and so low in the sky I couldn’t see where we were going. But as I put my hand up to shield the sun from my eyes I saw we were heading for some cones and managed to miss them somehow. Someone had dug a big hole in the road, left a few cones and gone home for his tea. Alternatively you might say “buggered off” !! Praise be we didn’t take a nose dive into the hole. Norma’s turn to drive next Saturday when we are coming again for more glue slapping! I hope Holly’s foot will soon be better. I think it might be a good idea for OTL to carry a woofer sized bag on your walks so that you and Holly could take turns in hitching a lift when necessary. TM ‘s friend Barbara , who makes good cakes, is very good at sewing big bags too. Have a good night all of you. Love from Auntie Di x x

  3. Hello woofers and sleepers, I have been deer hunting today and saw quite a few but they were a bit far off but not too far for Michaels camera so he is a happy bunny! It was very cold but a lot of TLs with woofers of all sizes, Hatch Park near Ashford if you have been there? Glad TM managed to get the soap for Holly and hopefully it will mend before she is affected by the bubbles but then on Tuesday she can sing for Archies birthday the song "I'm For Ever Blowing Bubbles" and you can join in the chorus. The little ones enjoyed the Cats Tease and I bet OTL enjoyed himself as well, we called on Ian and Claire on our way home and saw Strawberry and Kiwi the hamsters that have replaced Sparkle and Flower, the new ones are a bigger, Strawberry is all white and Kiwi white with a brown tinge. Glad Diana and Norma avoided those cones, the sun was a big problem for us as it was low and the road only wide enough for one vehicle, actually a 4 x 4 went off road up a bit of a bank for us to pass. We like the sun when not when it is low and in our eyes hope next week is better for driving. I do keep saying that OTL should have a woofer bag and there Diana has said just the same thing and even knows who could make one, he won't buy you an I-paws to write the Diary with surely he could buy just a little woofer bag to ease you and Hollys journeys!!! xxxxxx
