Well, last night was fun, Old Two Legs was pulling his hair out trying to get the worming tablets down our throats!
You know, a tasty bit of meat with a pill inside. Woofer looks like they are eating it all and then, phtwee, out comes the pill and lands on the floor!
OTL finally chopped the pills in half and then made a snowball out of some soft cheese and buried the half pill inside and being fans of a bit of cheese, down went the pill!
Today we got an email from the vet telling us that the ferrets should have a distemper injection every year and not once every two years or as the new vet said, once every three years!
OTL has now changed the details in the calendar so that the ferrets get stabbed every year!
We were awake early this morning but OTL went back to sleep so we ended up getting up half an hour later than normal, it's OTL's fault!
It was still darkish down on the beach and OTL had to use the flash on the camera to catch Miss May running up and down the beach!

Then of course there is the puddles on the path that Holly was trying to dance around but ended up getting nowhere and on top of that she ended up with wet paws!

It took a little while to get Freddy and Wendy to wake up and they both decided to have a cuddle in OTL's arms until we got back to the football field where they got down to have a run on the short grass!
Holly and I ran down half of the field, just to tell a woofer to Woof Off 'cos the field is ours. Trubble was, when we got to where he was he turned out to be a big woofer who said that the field was his!
OTL has been doing some 'Stock Checking' this afternoon which involves counting what bits he has in stock and trying to decide what bits to order!
Next we saw him investigating the box of scissors he uses to cut our hair, I reckon Holly is in for a shampoo and set plus short back and sides!
We left him to oil the shaver and sharpen the scissors and sneaked off for a snooze on the sofa until dinner is served!

Yo maties. Now who is this woofer who said the field was his????? Let me at him, I'll make mince meat out of him, it's your field, you were there first. Now I would check out that this email from the vet isn't just a licence to mug OTL of his hard earned. Seems to me different vets say different things, might depend on how much they like dosh. Glad you got a lay in this morning, I was up at the crack with my mum cos she was going to work. Well done to you and Holly for making sure you got the most treat before you swallowed those worming pills, them TL's don't understand us woofers and they always fall for the "I need more treat to swallow it" Mind, my mum makes me take my pills out of her fingers now, she's trained me to eat them with out treats .......... my mum is a cruel woman and I won't tell you wot I had to put up with for the training. Loved the pictures today. Tell OTL you don't want any short back and sides just yet cos the forecast says it's going to be cold, it was very cold here today. I'd stay hiding behind the sofa if you see him walking around with his clippers, it's way too cold for a bath let alone a hair cut. ReplyDeleteIt seems that you only had half a pill in cheese, how did OTL sneak the other half in, do you know?? So the vet has changed the frequency of distemper jabs for ferrets, has OTL asked why there is a difference of opinion maybe Archie's idea of how much they like dosh or is it how much they like to tend to cute little furry nippers? Have you promised Mr I Am In Charge Of This Field a share of your dustbin lid, OTL must have a good idea of administering big pills to bossy woofers. Maybe he needs a hair cut!
ReplyDeleteOTL does really good work with his clippers and scissors so you should be proud to pose for him. He is producing a work of art maybe not as good as TM but then you wouldn't want to be brayed, sprayed and distressed so being nipped, snipped and preened must be better. Archie is definitely on your side about the pills and I think he likes the idea of a home shampoo and set except that his mum couldn't handle such a tough, macho little guy. xxxxxx
