Well, here is a 'First' for us, the village has been cut off from the world due to large piles of snow.
Old Two Legs said it happened before, in 1988, thirty years ago and we were described as the 'Beleaguered Village of Allhallows'!
Well, we ain't beleaguered yet, but it's getting close!
We have kept to having a walk in the local fields but the wind gets to blow straight in off the sea and when the cold wind, plus the snow and the freezing temperature combine, it's blooming cold!

The laptop has a program that keeps a watch for 'Nasties' that could damage the machine and this morning the warning light came on and OTL had to do a complete scan of all his hard drives! Well, that took all of the morning to do and he had to work on just one computer rather than two!
He was telling us about a brass monkey set he had inherited from his father. It's three monkeys sitting together. One has it's hands over it's ears, the next hands are covering it's eyes and the last has it's hands over it's mouth.
OTL says that it is supposed to say, 'Hear no Evil, See no Evil and Say no Evil'. Well, holly and I laughed our tails off when OTL said that with the weather we are having it could be 'What was That? I can't Look and OMG, They've dropped off'!
Lunchtime we were still laughing as we headed off down the field again, sniffin' to see if we could spot any Monkey Bits!

So, we didn't find any Monkey Bits but maybe tomorrow 'cos the snow should still be here for a few days. The Missus has cancelled the Master Class this weekend but plans to do it again later this month.
Now, we are off to see what OTL has for dinner!

Yo little cut off maties. We saw a picture that Mrs TM put faceache showing all the villagers digging the snow. My mum found a funny picture on Mrs Sue's page and copied it on hers and says is that Mrs TM. My mum has now gone to hide. We've had some more snow but it's not deep like yours thank goodness. I still don't like it and I still don't want to go out. My mum makes me so that I can wee and poo but I'd prefer to hang on until the snow goes. Loved the pictures today. I hope you're all staying warm and cosy and I hope you don't run out of chicken. We've had a visitor today, he's coming back for some scoff, he's a very brave chap, it's our cousin John and he's travelled down from up near Liverpool. I think Mrs TM was very sensible to postpone her masterclass otherwise all the ladies would have had to bring shovels. Take care all and stay warm and snuggly. Help OTL with his munchies. ReplyDeleteI fear that if any Master Class people did manage to get a lift from a passing helicopter then they would be with you for some time. Did you look up beleaguered in the dictionary, I had no idea that you were cut off from civilisation, the last time Allhallows had food parcels dropped in, perhaps you could get some extra chicken. Just thought just as well that OTL and Uncle Alun didn’t go on their trip away now! I don’t think TM has seen the picture that Archie’s mum and I put up but then dardidiley, dardidiley, can’t catch us!! The snow pictures are a different change to those that you usually show us, I don’t suppose Southend can be seen but don’t worry about going to i am sure it has gone missing not wanting to be beleaguered as well.
