It was Hell but I suvived, just!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here.

Well, weather wise it has been a great day, loads of sun shine, balmy breezes and loads of tourists wandering up and down the Sea Wall.

Old Two Legs took Miss May and Eric out this morning but for some reason May just didn't fancy a run, mainly 'cos the dew was heavy on the grass and she said it was more like swimming than walking, so she blagged a ride in OTL's arms all the way!

Well, almost, she was down for a trip across the football field but that was all, too damp, too wet and too cold on her tummy!

Eric on the other paw was having a great time paddling in the wet grass!

OTL didn't take the camera with him today, he reckons there will be loads of tourists and each of them will have an in controlled woofer with them so the chance of and reasonable photo is highly unlikely!

After the morning walk it started.

I hid in the office while Holly got caught first!

Ha!

Holly chops got first go in the washing machine, well, OTL calls it 'The Shower'!

A big bucket was filled with water, then a towel was folded to provide a mat on the floor of the washing machine and she was soaped, sploshed, scrubbed and squeezed dry! Then down to the torture table where she got a blow dry from that 'Dog Blaster' thingy that we hate!

After that it was out with the shaver, scissors and short back and sides!

Holly hated it but OTL kept muttering, 'That's another sixty quid I've saved!'

Then when OTL had finished it was time for the lunch time walk.

Again it was a case of too many tourists and we left Freddy and Wendy to sleep 'cos it was not only a bit too warm but there were too many tourists again!

On our way back we stopped in to pick up The Missus and Auntie Helen came out to see us. Both Holly and I gave her nose a lick 'cos she says she always reads this blog!

Good on yer girl!

The afternoon was spent with me getting the 'Full Treatment' and I got injured!

There I was standing still while OTL was clipping the hair around my paws when he touched my claw with the scissors and I jumped.

That was enough for the scissors to nick my paw and OTL had to dab on some diluted Iodine.

That turned my paw all brown looking and also stained his paw as well!

When TM arrived back we had all been 'Done' and OTL had just finished clearing up everywhere.

We got a special treat 'cos as TM was bringing the boxes in, the ice cream man arrived!

Well, we all got an ice cream filled cone to lick and Holly and I shared one!

It was a race to see who could lick the most!

Holly won, she has a tongue like an elephants trunk!

We do just LOVE an ice cream cone!

Pictures tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Evening gang, little Arch's mum here. I've just read your blog to him and he reckons you're almost as brave as wot he is Daisy and Holly, specially Daisy after she got injured so badly. Hope your paw isn't sore otherwise you might need an icecream again tomorrow. Good to hear about Eric and May on their walk or should that be carry for Miss May, this morning. Arch says he hopes that you had a good roll in some sniffy stuff before you got put into the washing machine. Now, little Arch was doing well yesterday but during the night he felt very unwell and had a bad tummy ache so we had to go to the vet college where they gave him an injection for his tummy. This morning Arch didn't want any breakfast so we went along to our own vet and they decided that they wanted Arch to stay with them for a little while, so he's been on a drip and had a few more stabbings. He's very tired at the moment but he is dictating his comments from the sofa bed where he's snuggled up with his teddy and his favourite blanket. He says to tell you he's got even more tablets to take and they are as big as a caravan ..... hmmmm.......... he also says to tell you that he has a big needle in his leg just in case he needs to go back on a drip over the weekend. His vet is going to ring a bit later to see how he is. I'd better get back to the patient now and he says he hopes you all have a lovely evening with plenty of muggings, specially nice ones to help that injured paw heal. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers and little Arch's mum. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Archies mum, do tell him that I am sorry that he is feeling poorly again, I had hoped he was on the mend but he has lots of love and cuddles to help and tell him to swallow the caravan sized pills jockey wheel first for comfort. Now we have Daisy injured, poor little woofer don’t be jealous if you only got “brown paw” and not caravan sized pills. It has been very nice today no wonder all those tourists have flocked to your beach and your football field, no pictures so I must imagine those envious faces of all the TLs wanting to take you home with them. The little ones are not silly they know what is bad for them, better to snooze in an air conditioned hammock than striding out over the wet grass, good for them. Have a lovely Sunday and lots of hugs to little Archie, get well soon, you have a nice mum to care for you xxxxxx xx

    Luv,

  4. Thank you gang, I've just had a bit of brekkie ........ not a lot but enough to keep me going for a bit longer. Now did my mum tell you, I've got this huge needle in my leg, it's 5ft long you know, but as always, I'm being super brave. Well I must go back to snooze now. Tell little Eric he will need OTL to lift him up a bit if he comes to sort out the vets. Love and licks from little Arch xxxxxxxxx
