McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacMay, Miss MacWendy, Eric de McFerret and Monty McSporran it's us again!
Well now, yesterday we cleaned the caravan and waved the vacuum cleaner around to get rid of all the sand and grass and Brambles Biscuits plus whatever else has fallen on the floor!
The caravan was all tidy ready for The Missus to arrive, only problem, she was many, many miles away and so was the car!
The hire car had been making a bonging sounds as soon as you got over forty five miles an hour, it's been driving us and Old Two Legs potty!
Well, yesterday OTL was looking under the bonnet and decided that he really didn't know what he was looking at or for, I mean, it was all computer controlled!
So he decided to shut the bonnet and he did with just a little more force than you would have expected the bonnet to be shut.
Off we went heading for Glasgow first to pick up the motor.
At or around sixty miles per hour there was no bonging sound, a firm closure of the bonnet had 'de-bonged' the car!
All it needed was a firm hand!
Well, when we got to the car menders we were told that the car was still being worked on and would we like to wait? OTL got permission for us woofers to come into the air conditioned waiting room where we got loads of attention, strokes and a bowl of chilled water!
As they were doing the MOT, they found that one of the suspension springs was cracked, so that was another little surprise for OTL!
Finally, the bills were all paid and off we went heading now towards Dumfries where TM was sitting in a country hotel, sipping coffee and munching on little pastries while waiting for us!
We kept on getting messages from her, like, 'Are you here yet?', no sense of time, that's her problem!
Well, to cut a long journey short, we got back to the caravan around twelve thirty, a little tired and in need of a good snooze!
McHolly was so tired that she didn't bother with her dinner, it was just too much effort!
Not me, I was starving and soon was ear deep in a bowl of Doggy Scoff' and didn't even come up for air!
The next morning even McHolly was still tired but decided that a morning snooze before dinner was the best cure!
Just a quick snooze of an hour or so! |
The only problem is that I tend to over do it a bit and found out that it got rather cold the longer I stayed in the sea!
OTL decided that I was shivering too much and we headed off for the caravan for a rub down with a Doggy Towel then a snooze in the sunshine in the window of the caravan!
After a while, me bits get a bit chilly! |
Now, as Auntie Sue has come back from the Isle of Wight, did she see any red squirrels? We have heard that they still survive there!
Archie Babe, stay away from the fox poo, it can be habit forming!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
McDaisy, McHolly, Miss MacMay, Miss MacWendy, Eric de McFerret and Monty McSporran.
Yayeeeeeeeeee Mcmaties. Well we're all very pleased down here in the south that you lot up there in the norf are all back together again. We're glad to hear that the car is mended. Wot a lot of miles you and McHolly chops have covered this holiday. Now we hope there is no more bonging from now on. Loved the picture of McHolly snoozing and you dipping. It's very hot down here at the moment but I'm staying in where my mum is keeping it nice and cool. We seem to be over taken by foxes lately, my mum is really very not pleased about that, last night there were 2 in our front garden and 2 trying to get in our back garden, do you reckon they want to lodge here or eat me? My mum is making sure there is no fox poo in the garden before I get out there. Me and my mum went for a walk very early this morning so I didn't meet up with any of my usual woofer mates but I did bump into Hugo who has his picture on my mums faceache page, he's huge. He didn't get half as many cuddles as I did in the shop though. Hope you all get a good nights snooze tonight and get off to your next stop without any problems. I bet Mrs TM is much relieved that you didn't forget to go and pick her up. I hope the garage paid OTL for fixing the bong in the hire car. Enjoy your plawn clackers tomorrow night and the bolly. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteAh well done, that's what we want to hear, "All together now" where you belong, well not really where you belong because you should be just a little north of here not all that far north. Hopefully that is fixed now, maybe OTL should have tried the heavy handed method with the 4x4, told it who was boss, too late now! Didn't understand why it needed another MOT test with more "work" but you have it back and can set off in the morning to where TM has been all that time. Have a good journey and two good sleeps before England greets you back. Holly looks cosy on that sofa and you in the water although a tad cold by the sound of it. Are you ready to sing: "All together now, all together now" xxxxxx XX
ReplyDeleteHope you're all at Gretna and tucking into the plawn clackers. Have a good night all and a safe and trouble free journey tomorrow. Love and licks from little Arch xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
