Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty the Monster back again!
I must say, this good weather has lasted a very long time and with only one hiccup when Storm Hector passed us by!
We left little Miss May at home this morning 'cos of her bad eye. Eric didn't mind too much 'cos it enabled him to have sniffs in places she wouldn't want to sniff!
She is very particular where she sniffs, unlike Eric!
Today Old Two Legs got back into line regarding when to clean the ferret cages and the ferrets had left just a little more poo than normal 'cos OTL was a few hours over the normal twenty four hours cycle!
Down on the beach the tide was out first thing but I planned to have a swim at lunchtime but the tide was still coming in up the beach and to be honest, there was some scum on the front of the tide that even I thought was a little too mucky to swim in!

Before too long we expect to see the Dragon Flies out and zooming about all over the place!
When that happens, OTL says that he may go off to Stodmarsh to try photographing the big dragon flies!

Mind you, that didn't stop Wendy from having a little squeak now and again!
They will end up being friends once Wendy gets over loosing Freddy!

Yo maties. Loved the pictures today. It's been very hot here again and our grass looks a bit like your grass, burnt. Hope Miss May's eye is feeling a bit better and is soon back to normal. I bet that Eric had a great time sniffing all the sniffs. Good to hear that Miss Wendy is getting a bit more used to little Monty, I'm sure Freddy would approve. I went out very early for my walk this morning, my mum likes to make sure we get out before the sun is too hot. We've had a bit of a lazy day cos we're both up very early tomorrow so we don't want to be too tired. My mum gave away my boat paddling pool at last, cos I don't do wet as you know and I wouldn't get in the paddling pool so now it's gone and she can't fill it up and keep trying to put me in it anymore....... phew...... There does look a bit of a difference between the water at home and the water where you went on holiday but I suppose it's all wet. ReplyDeleteIt has been very hot today so we went on a bus ride, well four actually, two there and two back, mostly nice and cool and it got us out and about. Trouble with holidays they make more work when you get back and another holiday is needed even when it is a restful holiday. After your holiday I think you need two holidays but then would OTL cope with all the backlog! Would TM cope and what about the ferrets, how would they manage, better go to Stopatome for a rest to recover. Pity you couldn’t swim today, hopefully the scum will get washed away and tomorrow you can have a nice dip. Don’t forget to change the calendar to JULY tomorrow and take one step forward and none back and off you go. xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHi our southern friends, back in the south. It's great to see you got home safe and sound and have been back on your beach checking out the views. Tommy sent us photos and a video of him on the beach near where you were. He is with Hamish and they are both having a wonderful time. They have visited the Annette TL to wish her a Happy 80th birthday and she gave them lots of doggy treats. Dad took the caravan. Last night 2 tents pitched next door to them and the TL's sat around a fire singing songs. Tommy loves a good song and joined in with his best howling voice. Hamish said he sounded like a cat wailing but Tommy didn't care and sang louder. Dad just put in his ear plugs as it was gone 11pm and thought that both woofers and camping TLs should be asleep by that time.
ReplyDeleteUs girls are having a girly weekend with no boys to spoil our fun, although our Mum is spending all her time on the computer tap, tapping away, writing reports for the parents of all the mini TLs that she teaches. That's why we don't get to write comments very often on your blog because she is always working until late and then you will be in bed and not get to read it. Luckily for us, Mum sits with the big glass doors open so we can go out in the garden while she works and she get a cool breeze too. There are two big umbrellas (apparently they are called para-souls but I think they are just giant umbrellas) and they give us a some shade, but we prefer it under the black current bush because they we can pinch the ones on the lower branches. The twigs are really tasty too. Mum filled up the paddling pool for us girls but only Lady was brave enough to go in as she loves water and queues up for her turn when it is bath night (weird or what!). Mum hasn't been taking us out for walks until it is late as the roads are melting which means that it is too hot for our little paws.
Well we had best go to bed now. Mum has cooked lots of chicken tonight so we are expecting posh nosh for breakfast tomorrow. We hope that May's eye continues to get better. Maybe a Scottish Nargle kicked sand in her eye and made it sore. Love, wags, licks and sniffs from Izzy, Bella, Genie and Lady. xxxxxxxxx
