A Boring Day plus a 105mm Lens gets an airing!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty back again.

Well, we all know it has been warm today but here it has been rather boring, in fact it has been boringly boring and I do mean boring!

Old Two Legs finally got out his 105mm lens and off he went chasing bugs!

Holly and I wanted a game of chase or even have OTL walking next to us but today we seemed to spend ages waiting for him to finish off waving the camera about!

First he started of with a caterpillar of the Cinnabar Moth, a sort of red and black daytime moth.

Is it yellow with black rings or black with yellow rings?
OTL got all excited and pointed out the big stiff hairs on the body, a sort of protection in case a bird tries to eat it!

A fine set of hairs mate!
Holly and I stay away from little bugs that have a defence mechanism that might hurt us!

No, leave that one,it's got pincers!
We were busy shiffing the sniffs when Cody came lolloping up and wanted to know what OTL was doing with his head in the grass and his tail in the air!

Is he alright like that?
We told him wot OTL was doing and how daft we think it is!

He got a shot of this butterfly which normally lands and folds it's wings but this one kept it's wings open, just for OTL!

Yep! I'm a Gate Keeper!
There were loads of these red Dragonflies that were zooming all over the place. OTL recons that the zoom about just like the Golden Snitch in Harry Potter!

Hurry up, take the photo I can't hang about any longer!
Then, Zoom and off he went like a streak of light!

We cam across one that was resting on a leaf getting a rest before carrying on zooming all over the place!

This mating stuff is rather tiring!
The rest of the day has been spent 'Manufacturing' I mean he had loads of cable all over the place in fact is was a whole half a kilometre when it started!

Now it is all packaged up and ready for the carriers tomorrow, so, with any luck we should get some attention tomorrow!

Must go, I sniff Doggy Scoff being served up and I'm starving!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

  1. Yo maties. Well this hot weather does make things a bit boring, I go for my walk when it's really early and I miss meeting any of my woofer mates wot don't get up as early. Now, I could hear them pesky foxes during the night so I did a loud sharp woof to wake my mum up, She fell for my cunning plan and thought I needed a wee or a poo so down we went and she let me out in the garden, that was it, I was a one woofer alarm party, I told them foxes in no uncertain terms that this was my territory and they could woof off I would chew them up and spit them out, that sorted them out!!! My mum was running all round the garden trying to catch me to stop me from telling them, she said I'd wake the neighbourhood up but I reckon them pesky foxes had already done that, so there I was at 3.30 going back to bed to get some peaceful snooze uninterrupted by pesky foxes. Mind it was quite a shock to see how fast my mum could run round the garden at that time in the morning, watch out Ussain Bolt!!!! For the rest of the day I've been snoozing in the cool with just a few spells of beating up my teddies. Loved the pictures today but I still prefer the ones of you and Holly chops the best, my pin up girls. I'm not right fond of creepy crawlies, things with more legs than me tend to give me the creeps. Wot a shame OTL had to do lots of work today, hope he hasn't neglected you and Holly too much. How is Holly's ear and Miss May's eye, hope they're both getting much better. Enjoy your doggie scoff. Have a good evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Well he is a right old bugsy milone that OTL, the striped hairy one is nice on the screen but I wouldn’t like it in real life! Very good photography though worth getting his special lens out. We are home now, we heard of hour and half delays at the Dartford Crossing and one time both tunnel and bridge were closed due to a “police incident”, someone on the carriageway, we stopped near Cambridge for an hour and a half and then our journey was fine although the tunnels were both closed and queues of traffic waiting, just looked at traffic reports and all running fine now! It has been hot and humid today just right for manufacturing and Archie is right we need follow up health reports of the family, hope everyone is tickety boo xxxxxx
