We get a Seriously Good Treat!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty the Brave!

Another warm day here in sunny North Kent! In fact it was very warm first thing this morning and although we were out early, we were not out early enough!

We were beaten by a couple of rather large fare ground guard dogs that were thankfully roped to a large metal pole that had been hammered into the football field!

Can you imagine what would happen if they were let loose?

Holly reckons they both would get a smack on the tail from Old Two Legs!

Yeah! We'd soon sort them out, no problems!
It was just too hot to do any running so we just took a slow amble along the Sea Wall having a chat with OTL and watching the ships go by.

Another one heading for the docks up river.
As we walked back across the football field OTL took this photo of the 'Ride', mind you, we couldn't see where the horses were hidden and how they could spin that roundabout without falling over!

We are going to have to come back and see it working!
Lunchtime we were out again and it was even worse. OTL took the big car 'cos it has air conditioning and was nice and cool. We couldn't wait to get back in after a walk. Then, to our surprise, OTL headed off into town, he had some stuff to drop off and as Holly and I had been such good puppies, we dropped into the Doggy Shop!

The rabbits were still in their glass cages all snoozy and motionless.

You can just imagine what would happen if Holly and I got in there with them!

We headed for the 'Treat' section and OTL purchased a couple of packs of Chicken Fillets and when we got back to the car, Holly and I had a big piece each and a drink afterwards 'cos OTL always brings our water bowl with us when we go out in this heat.

One small problem, he will over fill the bowl and although it is supposed to be a travelling water bowl it somehow manages to slosh some water over the rim and today it landed on my butt!

I was a soggy doggy, all the way home!

Tomorrow, OTL says, he has a load of 'Manufacturing' to do so we will have to amuse ourselves while he gets busy busy!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty.

  1. Well this morning was positively cool, in fact we tossed up whether to take our fleeces or raincoats but decided that as we were going to spend most of the time in Norwich Cathedral we would leave both behind. As it turned out we had made the right decision and although it never got hot it didn’t get freezing either. It sounds like the fair have some guard dogs not to be played with, I wonder if that ship is delivering to the doggie shop! An extra wash today, hopefully it didn’t make the car too damp. We didn’t find a red bread bin but a Red Record Player, now would TM like to play all her old records while she bashes away with a frying pan? Good luck tomorrow with the manufacturing, you two be good and don’t disturb the maestro, flash your doleful eyes, remember there are more chicken strips around. xxxxxx

  2. Yo maties. Well it's been quite hot here although not as hot as yesterday, mind the heat from yesterday had an effect on my tum and it was a little bit grumbly during the night but seeing as it was cooler last night me and my mum made the most of cooling down in the garden during the night. It was my boys last day off today, so my mum did a bit of grooming on him and got the clippers out, now he sat nice and still on the chair and he didn't walk in circles or cry ...... tsk, wot a goody two shoes he is!! I stayed in the living room while he was getting groomed, just in case my mum decided to come near me with the clippers. Now is them woofers at the fair give you any bother you just let me know and I'll come down there and sort them out. Now when you mentioned treats and bunnies in the same sentence, I thought that OTL had bought you both one each, now that would be a real treat, bunnies to chase round the garden. Nice pictures today, I can see Holly chops isn't going to stand any nonsense from them woofers. I bet a wet butt cooled you down. Glad Mrs Sue and nuckie Mike didn't need their raincoats today. Tell OTL not to work too hard tomorrow. Have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
