Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!
What a day it has been down this end of the country! You know it's a good job Old Two Legs no longer has his weather station 'cos he would be boring the pants off us with data all about temperature and humidity and pressure and stuff like that. Nowadays we just come up with .....Blooming Hot!
Well, the official report on today's weather is....Blooming Hot!
We had a bit of running around to do today so we used the big car 'cos it has air conditioning, well, it has but it;s not working very well! It takes ages for it to chill the inside of the car, so an appointment has been made for the car to go in for some TLC!
So, today we headed off to the sea side for our walk and we came across Mike the Marathon, he has a brother called Sid the Streak!
This family are all runners and are planning to enter the next Olympics, Gastropod Sections!
Can't stop, I'm on a Time Trial! |
OTL went off looking for more interesting things to photograph and came across this Hover Fly similar to one we saw the other day!
It's just too hot to hover! |
Another branch of the Hover Fly Family! |
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!
Yo bloomin hot little maties. Wot a day, I'm frying here. I'd just finished telling you all my news and poooooooofffff the power went off. We had 2 claps of thunder earlier and a drip of rain, although not enough to cover a gnats butt. Then as I was typing out everything, there was another clap of thunder and that's when it all went poooooooooofffff. My mum was running round switching everything off then she switched the light on, wot a silly thing, the light didn't come on cos there was no power, I told her and she said I didn't know wot I was talking about. Then she gets on the phone, goes thru a menu pressing this button and that button and holds on for an operator, then just as she starts telling the person where we live ........ pooooooooooooofffffff on comes the light, magic or wot? I have to say we both got very hot while the fans weren't working, but we're alright now. Well I reckon Mike the marathon is daft running in this weather, if I was him I'd go in my shell and stay there until it cools down. Nice pics again today. I think I better go tell my mum to start cooking tea just in case the power goes poooooofffff again, I mean, we can't go without our tea now can we. Hope you all have a lovely evening and I hope it cools down where you are. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from a very hot little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHello big and little fryers around the country, about 4pm it got all darkish and we went around closing car windows and garage doors but it came to nothing and now at 6pm the curtains are all blowing in the breeze. It doesn’t seem to be any cooler though. Tonight Michael has a date with the Blood Moon but is expecting it to be cloudy or raining so TM will have to watch faceache to see what happens, she could also look out of the window! Lovely educational pictures again today, it is amazing what lingers in the bushes, OTL must have quite a collection now. We want to go to the Maidstone River Gathering (it used to be a Festival but some bright spark renamed it “Gathering”). Keep cool and dry and not wind swept if possible and hear from you tomorrow xxxxxx
