How big is a Ferret Step?

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

It's getting all exciting here as the holiday draws closer. Monty has been looking for his swimming costume and Eric has been checking his climbing gear 'cos he plans to do some Munro Bashing when we stop in Fort William!

Old Two Legs has been getting his toys together as well, first the camera stuff and next his 'Bird Watching' stuff like binoculars and telescope!

We reckon there will be loads of birds on the loch so OTL wants to get some pictures and see if he can spot any new birds!

This morning Holly woke us up early by woofing to get onto the bed, I mean, it's not as if it was difficult jumping up on the bed, all she had to do was miss landing on me!

Once up on the bed she headed for OTL's newly shaved head and gave his head a seriously good licking 'cos Holly says that there was a funny 'Taste' after OTL has a haircut!

Down on the beach the sun was up and poking through the clouds, the sunbeams looked quite pretty!

Now, that looks pretty!
Eric was in the ferret bag catching up on his sleep and of course he was asking if we were 'There Yet'!

.......are we?
As we turned to head for home, who should come bounding along the Sea Wall?

It was Bert!

Holly didn't see him until the last moment and made her jump!

Gissa anuver kiss?
Eric was out of the bag and half way up the grass path searching for Sock Monsters but all he could find was mousses poo!

How many feet does a Sock Monster have?
OTL had a bit of 'Manufacturing to do this morning, it's always the same every year, there is always the customer who leaves ordering until the very last minute!

Both Miss Wendy and Monty came out at lunchtime. The sun had come out and the grass was good and dry so no one got a wet tummy today!

I am going to write to the local Parish Council about getting some ferret sized steps!
Holly was sitting on the Sea Wall trying to calculate the size of a ferret step based only on her observations of leg length and the jumping capability of a ferret in reasonable health!

Well, I can start off with E = M C squared, then take away the first number, followed by the leg length and.......
By the time we got up to her she was only half way through the calculation when OTL called her and she forgot where she had got up to!

I suppose that she will be playing on the calculator tonight to finish her design for a ferret sized step!

Me? I reckon it would be easier if OTL picked the ferrets up whenever they got to the step!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. It sounds like you're all getting excited about your holibobs, I wish I knew wot it was like to go on holibobs. Mind all this packing lark puts me off. I hope there's enough room for everything you need to take. I bet Monty looks very fetching in his swimming costume, is it a one piece or 2 piece? I reckon they need to put in ferret steps and I'm sure Holly chops could draw up the plans for them. Loved all the pictures today. It's been quite nice here and I went for a walk early this morning but didn't meet any of my mates. My mum had her tooth taken out this morning and she was home quite quick afterwards, luckily she hasn't had any bother with it but it will be 2 weeks now before they can put it back instead of the one week they first said. She asked my boy if he could see the gap and he said not if she keeps her mouth shut. I could see the gap and they were laughing at me cos I was staring at it. We've had a busy day wot with cutting the grass and washing and ironing and hoovering and scoffing and shopping. We're off for an early night cos my mum is working in the morning but with all the jobs done we can have a nice easy day tomorrow. Tell Eric he don't need to worry about sock monsters cos they only live under the bed so he's safe when he's out and about. Have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Greetings our southern friends. What fantastic clear photos OTL took today especially the one of Eric in the sac and the action of shot of Holly jumping from Bert. We hope you have remembered to pack all the tasty doggy scoff for your trip up to the Highlands. I'm sure TM won't notice if you remove some of her craft things to make room. Mum is in a very happy mood today because the important doctor with the knife said that he had fixed her back properly and didnt3need to see her again. She saw all the screws and metal bars drilled into her spine and all the extra bone that has grown around it so she can walk again without hurting. Sounds like a monster to me but we won't tell her. She was very happy to get out of the house today because she has been stuck indoors for a week as she isn't allowed to drive for 4 more weeks until she has recovered from her other surgery last week. We were very excited to see mum and dad come back because the hospital is a long way away and we had to keep all our 4 legs crossed til they came back - that's 24 legs all crossed. We will make sure to wave as you drive past on your way to Nessy Land. I think Nessy is just a giant Nargle. Must go now. It's dentastix time. Licks, woofs, wags and sniffs from Izzy and the gang xxxxxxxx

  3. Before I forget, I saw a signpost today for St Teath and I wondered if he was the patron saint of dentists. Holly is so clever calculating the height of a ferret step so that she will be able to give the Parish Council all the facts but fancy OTL disturbing her mid flow, it will give half a dozen men a couple of days work as well, good for her. Don’t forget there is all TMs stuff as well or is she going by train, there’s an idea give you more space and TM can spread herself out. Maybe Eric will find sock monsters in Scotland, I think they are more prolific there where the men wear kilts and have their socks showing. We went on a Mystery Tour today to Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac, lots of hills and we saw a Green Man, Holly will know about them. Off to recover before our adventures tomorrow xxxxxx
