Pass along the Life Jackets!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Well, Autumn has arrived, we have seen some dead leaves that have fallen from the trees and the rain has been washing everything today, us included!

We started out first thing with just our harnesses on but when we got to the football field car park it was wetter than when we started out, so, out comes the rain coats and off we went for a quick wee and back home!

Lunchtime wasn't as bad, just a steady drizzle of water and as the rain coats were still wet, Old Two Legs made us wear our new harnesses.

Now, don't get me wrong, these are super harnesses and they have a special handle on the back so OTL can pick us up and left us into the car, it saves us jumping in and out.

There is however a small, tiny, little problem.

We sort of stand out a bit!

Why don't we see as many mouses as before, do you thing we are easy to see?
Well, we stand out a bit more than a bit.

We stick out like a Sore Boil on a Baboon's Butt!

Am I fading into the grass?
Holly reckons it is dangerous walking along the Sea Wall 'cos some one is bound to mistake us for a Life Raft or a Life Jacket and call out the Lifeboat!

As if I would go anywhere near that horrid wet stuff!
Mind you, it does keep the rain drops off our shoulders but our legs still get wet! one good thing is,  when we get home there is always a nice warm Doggy Towel to dry us off!

I think that we have rain for the next few days. OTL says the weather is getting ready for when we go on holiday. We won't bother trying to get a tan, we'll just get rusty instead!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

  1. Evening all. Little Arch's mum here, sadly little Arch has hurt his leg and he can't type, so he's dictating and I'm typing for him. He reckons you and Holly look the bees knees in your new harness's but he says you always look good anyways. We've not had any rain here today thank goodness. Arch enjoyed his walk this morning and had a chat with Boris the bounce. He didn't steal anything in the shop this morning. In fact Arch has been a good boy all day but somehow this afternoon, he was eating his scoff and somehow he's hurt his front leg. We've been to the vet and they've examined him and he has to go back on Friday or before if it gets worse. He was very upset and didn't want to go and sniff everywhere and everyone at the vets today so I'm guessing it's hurting him a lot. He has some tablets to take to help with the pain but he's not his normal happy little self and has to be carried in and out for a wee, he's not happy about that either. He's going to have a snooze now because his tablets make him very sleepy, so we're hoping when he wakes up that it doesn't hurt. We'll let you know how he goes but he wants to tell you that he hopes you all have a lovely evening and get some nice muggings. He sends his love, licks, wags and sniffs. From little Arch's mum, little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Oh dear a real tale of two tails, I think little Archie is suffering from lack of love hearts, there must be a chemical in them that keeps his muscles toned. As for those new harnesses, OTL will find you without his binoculars but on the other paw so will everyone else including Search and Rescue so that might come in useful. Michael would definitely not like you in them as he hates going to a Beauty Spot and finding people dressed in yellow, pink or RED spoiling his pictures, standing or wandering about haplessly where he wants to snap the shutter. Just make sure that if you see someone with a camera you pop behind the nearest bush unless of course they are lining you up in the lens. I think it has rained all day, just not in the holiday mood at all, maybe we will leave the wet here. xxxxxx
