Rabbit Hunting!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

It's Friday again!

We love Friday 'cos it means that Old Two Legs finishes early and the weekend starts around four thirty!

Well, OTL should have finished by then and all the computers shut down!

As you know, we got out early for our morning walk and spend all the time in the dark. The idea was so that we could have a walk and not worry about big bounding bozo woofers chasing after us.

It seems that the idea has caught on, even at six fifteen, in the dark there are at least three other Two Legs out walking their woofers as well! There is one with a couple of loud woofin' bozo's then there is another TL who walks along with a high powered LED torch which gets shone all over the place, scaring off the rabbits and blinding us and OTL!

We don't reckon it would be any better if we come out any earlier than we do at the moment, there would still be TL's out with the woofers!

Now, talking of rabbits like wot we were before someone shone a torch at us, dark is good for hunting rabbit!

OTL knows the places where there is likely to be a couple of rabbits our for a morning munch of grass. So, carefully and quietly we sneak around the side of the bushes, spot the rabbit and go tearing after it. Only problem is, the bozo with the LED torch has alerted the rabbit and scared it off before we got going!

Lunchtime is becoming a bit quieter and there is a better chance of kicking up a rabbit or two!

The only problem is, we are down the bottom of the hill and we spot a rabbit, however, the rabbit is up the top of the hill and by the time we have run all the way up the hill, we're out of breath and the rabbit is gone!

I'm getting too old for all this stuff!
Although there has not been any rain, the day has been rather grey, a typical January day!

OTL took the camera with him at lunchtime but other than our harnesses, there was nothing colourful, so, he tries to capture interesting stuff with composition.

As we say, he tries!

Well, the thought is there but it lacks anything dramatic!
Maybe he should stick to close up stuff, with Spring coming there's bound to be some more buds getting ready to burst.

On the other paw, he could fit the 'Long Lens' and try photographing rabbits!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well I liked all the pictures today, of course the ones with you and Holly chops are the best. I've been thinking about the problem with the bozo TL's at walkie time. Wot about having a lay in and going out for walkies when the bozos have gone off to work, you might get a bit more peace and no numpties shining torches in your eyes and dazzling you all. We had a bit of sleet here first thing when my mum went to work but it soon stopped and we've had a dry day but grey and chilly. Now I'm not a happy chappie, my mum said she's going to work tomorrow cos they haven't got anyone to do the newspapers which means I've got to get up early again and I'm not really into getting up early in the mornings. My mum said I can stay in bed until 4.30 because the papers are always late on a Saturday so she doesn't need to get there quite as early as she normally does. I've chased a few squirrels out of the garden today but apart from that I've not been hunting anything else. I'm off for a patrol now to see if there is anything to chase. Have a lovely evening all and stay warm. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. No matter what time you go out you are bound to find some bozo and Archie has a good point because if you wait until later they won't need a torch and the sensible ones will have gone to work leaving the really sensible ones free to wander this way and that without interuption. Probably the rabbits have a field day then too. Good effort that last picture with some mist, water, trees and even a listed building to boot. xxxxxx
