We are in a disaster zone!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

Just!

Yesterday the water sort of lost it's strength as it was coming out of the tap and it was a funny puddle colour!

Old Two Legs reported that the 'Water Men' were digging up the road and the places where the water pipe ran into our village.

It seems that our pipes are a little old and every time they repair a section and turn on the water, another bit of the pipe leaks and we are back to leaky pipes again!

OTL got sent out to buy some bottled water at the Co-Op so we can have clean water to drink but OTL and The Missus will have to shower in the muddy water!

OTL says it reminds him of the last time he was in Tanzania and the country had run out of stuff for the filter at the local reservoir!

We love hearing some of his stories, they always start off with 'Jambo Bwana'!

Well, while we face the possibility of our village turning into a desert with the lack of water OTL decided that we should 'Keep Calm' and carry on as normal, which means it's walkies time!

Loads of sniffs and the hawthorn blossom is just bursting out all over!
When we get to the top of the hill and look down towards the car park we can hardly see the car because of the blossom!

Well, it's down there somewhere!
As we headed back to the car Holly found a super sniff that just called out for a roll and even though OTL called out in his best 'Souff Londun' accent, 'Gerrtcha Smelly Mutt!' Holly took no notice and got a good wriggle in before OTL got anywhere near her!

Holly does take chances sometimes!
Now, it may be coincidence but, our super duper incredibly expensive nearly new kettle has suddenly stopped working.

Now we are not saying it was the fault of the Water Men but it is a strange coincidence that they both went wrong at the same time!

So, this afternoon TM and OTL headed off to the store where it was purchased from and TM had a 'meaningful' chat with the 'Fault Department'!

Being that TM spent many many years in retail she knows the process inside out and started off by dragging the manager over the counter by the scruff of his shirt collar and telling him the kettle was 'FAULTY'!

Oooo! She can be so persuasive sometimes!

The man reckons the kettle will be back, repaired or a replacement in about fourteen days!

TM has this effect on shop managers!

OTL has got a pile of stuff to get done tonight so I'm going to let him have the computer back and say bye bye for now!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here!

  1. Yo maties. Well now, good on Mrs TM for taking the faulty kettle back and getting the manager over the counter by the scruff, it seems today was the day for Mrs's to have words with managers cos my mum went out today to buy a new filter for her not very old new iron. Well no one in the shop knew anything about filters and said no they don't have them, so my mum insisted they went and got the department manager, well they was saying that she wouldn't be able to tell my mum anything different so my mum told them it wasn't wot the manager could tell her but wot she could tell the manager. The manager duly arrived and my mum had words with her about the buying department telling my mum that they would have a stock of them there filters by the end of last month. They suggested that when my mum needs a new filter, she brought the iron back and they would replace it with a whole new iron, well, my mum said they're nuts and she wasn't going to be bringing the iron back every time it needed a new filter, she awaits their phone call to tell her they have a new filter or they will take the iron back and refund her dosh. My mum tells it like it is just like Mrs TM, well done ladies for making your hard earned get some value. Now, this water problem, I hope that when OTL and Mrs TM get out the shower it don't make everyone say 'Jambo Bwana' cos they look like they've got permanent sun tans. Probably a good job that the water isn't nice and clean or Holly chops might have been put in the shower after her roll in the super sniff. I've found a few sniffs lately but no real super ones for a while now. Loved the pictures today. I hope you get some nice clean water soon or you might find some niffs around the house. I hope you've got something to boil the water in until your kettle is replaced or Mrs TM and OTL will be drinking the fizzy stuff and singing songs like, mud, mud glorious mud. I'm off to bed early tonight cos I'm working in the morning, doing the guarding while my mum goes to work. I'm planning a right good snuggle up to her but I suppose you and poor Holly chops might not be snuggling up too close if Mrs TM and OTL are a bit niffy from dirty water. Have a lovely evening all, hope there are still some nice snackettes. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Will the dirty water bung up the shower head so TM will be needing to have a meaningful conversation with another manager! It will mean no hair cuts until the water comes out of the tap all pristine like so that’s a bonus. I have been so busy doing so much that I keep meeting myself coming back, still I am in until 10-30 am tomorrow, time to do some clothes washing, of course TM can’t do that unless you are back on the water grid, keep warm, we are out touring Rochester tomorrow after eating a midday meal xxxxxx

  3. Loving the photo of her ladyship having a roll on a sniff! Bet she had to have a muddy water shower when she got home!

Oh what a nuisance about the water situation. Still . . . here's hoping the system is fixed once and for all when they've done.

Congrats to TM for sorting out the kettle, but what are you supposed to do without it for a fortnight?

    xxx
