Good News Day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret here again!

Well, as you know, we took Monty to the vets so he could get stabbed to prevent him getting Distemper.

Monty didn't like it, in fact he had to be held by Old Two Legs while the vet attacked Monty with that nasty sharp thingy!

Before that, the vet was listening hard through his stethoscope to Monty's heart listening for any signs of cardiomyopathy. Poor Monty was getting all upset and was in need of a cuddle, so he scrambled up the front of OTL and snuggled up under OTL's chin and wouldn't come out again until it was time to go!

The results were that the vet couldn't hear anything untoward and suggested we come back in six months for a checkup, just in case or sooner if the coughing gets any worse.

Which, OTL says, is 'I don't know, get proper ill and we'll see later'!

Mind you, he did have a good look at Miss Aprils notes about when she had cardiomyopathy and notes the medicine she was given.

This morning we went out for our walk but this time we took Eric with us for a run. Miss May decided it was just too early to get up so she went back to bed to wait until breakfast time!

OTL had some jobs to do including getting an MOT done on the big car but when he got to the garage they told him the machine wot doz the testing was broken, so he will have to come back tomorrow if they can't fix it today!

Still, one good thing, while he was out he picked up some chicken chews for us woofers and some chews for the ferrets as well!

Yum, Yum, Yum!

Lunchtime we left the ferrets snoozing and headed off to the sea shore. It was still all cloudy and gloomy and there were no butterflies to see, all the bugs seemed to have gone with the possibility of a few flies and a couple of Buff Tailed Bumblebees!

Not the most exciting day, however, we did have some fun.

Now you remember how Archie Babe got into trouble mucking up the duvet? Well, Holly and I have a surprise for OTL when he gets into bed tonight 'cos we were given a carrot each and we made a bit of a mess on the bed. So, to get out of trouble, we hid all the carrot crumbs under the duvet, on OTL's side of the bed!

Pity it wasn't some doggy biscuits, crumbs, that would be fun!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Eric de Ferret and Monty de Ferret!

  1. Yo maties. Well I'm proud of you both for hiding the evidence, when OTL gets into bed you can both blame Mrs TM but don't forget to look innocent. I went for an early walk but I didn't meet any of my mates so I didn't discuss where the best sniffs were, shame really cos I came across a real stinky, rolly type sniff. It's rained on and off here most of the day which has made it a bit boring but when my mum went out this afternoon, my boy stayed with me and we had good fun wrestling and fighting but we didn't tell my mum when she came home in case she told us both off. Mind, my mum did tell my boy that he wasn't to give me any more teeth cleaning chews when I was in bed, she said he could give me a treat if I ate it downstairs though. I'm glad to hear that so far Monty doesn't have a problem like wot Miss April had, has your vet got hold of a ferret specialist to ask them wot they think? Hope little Monty wasn't too upset or didn't hurt too much when he got stabbed. I've got to go soon to get my yearly stabbings, mind as you know I don't usually feel it, just that last injection given to me by a nurse hurt but I don't think my mum will be letting nurses stab me in future, I think she's going to insist that it's a vet only. I think my mum got more upset than me but then she knows wot a brave chap I am so she knows that it I said it hurt, then it HURT. My mum don't let anyone hurt me, she's pretty good like that for all her faults. Well I spent most of the day without my t-shirt on but this afternoon, I got caught having a little scratch, that was it, before I could say where's me scoff, on went the t-shirt. Do you know there is no sign now of the scab where I got bit or the scab where I scratched, I think my mum wants to keep me scab free so that she can take me to the groomer next week, now, if I've got anything to do with it, we'll be postponing it but my mum reckons if it's got anything to do with her we won't be. Hope Eric enjoyed his walk today, I don't blame Miss May for staying in bed for a lay in, I felt like a lay in this morning but my mum said she had jobs to do so we got up earlier than I wanted. Hope OTL's wallet didn't take too much of a hit at the vets yesterday. Now wot's this about the MOT machine not working, think of all the dosh they're losing, still a day longer in OTLs wallet can't be bad. Glad you enjoyed your chicken treats, I'm having a treat free day today just cos I had a little bit of a grumbly tum this morning. I'm fine now but my mum won't give in. Have a lovely evening all, hope them treats keep coming. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. Glad that there doesn't APPEAR to be anything too much wrong with Monty . . . just a little cough (fingers crossed). Hope it clears up soon.

Hide and seek chews/carrots eh? Good game! Although I fear you might be "for it" later!

    Hugs, Sarn xxx

  3. I think you will get a medal for being the Cleverest Woofer in the World for hiding carrot crumbs under the duvet, nobody will ever suspect it was you and you will get away with it. That cat next door must stop coming in and disposing of his unwanted bits and pieces in your house. Hope the vets initial thoughts on Monty are right and his cough goes quickly. Also the garage have sorted out the MOT machine so that they can take a snippet of OTLs wallet and no more. xxxxxx
