It's OTL's Fault!

Hi Woofers!

We're back! McDaisy, McHolly, MacMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret!

Now, sorry about yesterday, it was OTL playing silly wottsits and watching a DVD until it was just too late to get the computer out! Mind you, it was a lazy sort of day, snoozing and snoozing again!

Now, today is different, after doing all his chores what did he do? Gathered up his camera gear and headed off to the Mull Of Kintyre to photograph landscapes and the Ailsa Craig rock! Mull of Kintyre is supposed to be the furthest south you can get.

Well, he got there and on the way saw Buzzards and loads of 'Little Brown Stuff' but when he got to the end of the road there was a sign!

OK, get out of the car and walk!
Now that bit of stuff in the distance is Northern Ireland. OTL took another shot slightly to the left.

Well, he got as far as the bend and climbed back up, but there is Northern Ireland and no Back Stop!
Off he went again and found a super spot that shows Ailsa Craig in beautiful colour.

Well, if the mist wasn't there we'd be able to see it!!
Not to be beaten, OTL headed off up the coast a bit and came across the seals basking on the rocks. He is not a seal person so couldn't say if they were Grey Seals or Harbour Seals, however, he did say they reminded him of TM!

It won't be long before they get washed off the rocks!
After they floated away, OTL was keeping an eye open for otters and he spotted a flurry of activity, so, quick as a Ferret, he snapped off a couple of shots but when we opened them up on the computer they turned out to be seals!

It's OK, I've left my Factor 38 on the rocks!
Now what happens when the tide comes in is it drives the wild life closer to the shore and this Grey Heron flew in and perched on the rocks for a while before deciding there was no food and he'd better try further on down the beach!

A nice big fat juicy frog would go down a treat!
So, after all this charging around the Mull of Kintyre he arrived back at the caravan to a 'Big Woofer Welcome' followed by four trips down to the beach, one with Eric de Ferret and one with Monty and Wendy, then Miss May had a little run followed by Holly and I who sneaked out of the caravan when TM wasn't looking and chased after OTL!

So, not a bad day and it has been sunny for most of the day but the mist and low cloud helped keep the temperature down a little.

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

McDaisy, McHolly, MacMay, MacWendy, Eric McFerret and Monty MacFerret!

  1. Yo Mcmaties, I was getting right worried about you. I thought it might have rained during the night and you might be floating out towards Ireland. I'm very pleased that it was only that OTL was watching a DVD and forgot to pass you the laptop. We wasn't sure wot the weather was going to do yesterday, it was very grey, then it was very sunny, then it was very grey, well it rained really hard during the night. It's been dry all day today but my mum went out and she said it was very misty where she went, it's just been boring old grey here at home though. Now last night when I went out for my last wee one of the frogs was sitting by the back door waiting for me to come out and play hop and whizz, so I had a quick game before my mum made me come in. I had a nice walk this morning before my mum went out and she came back with loads of new flowers for the garden and we've been cutting the grass, weeding and pruning and I got told off again cos I was getting abit tired so I went to lay down in the middle of the flower bed, well I don't see why just the flowers can lay there! I mean, I only flattened them a little bit in the middle where I laid on them, they're standing up an bit now so wot's the problem????????? Nice pictures today, I like the look of them seals, they look like they'd be great fun to play with. I bet OTL will be in trouble when Mrs TM reads wot he said. How come he didn't take you and Holly chops on his jaunt? Oooohhh I nearly forgot to tell you, my mum was sorting out some old salad that had gone past its sell by date and a couple of sausages wot she was going to put in the food bin when she dropped a sausage, well quicker than you can say I got it, I got it and I ran away to eat my sausage in peace, boy was it tasty. Well I better go and remind her it's time for scoff so have a lovely evening, hope the muggings are good. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. I did wonder where you were but TM didn’t report any mishaps so I didn’t really worry, mind you when I saw the picture of the end of the public road sign I thought Scotland had been cut off. We have had warm here today and a drop of rain this evening so I am hoping that everything continues to be good. Just been watching a programme about the miles of sausages a factory makes in a year and then read about Archie and eating just one sausage, I bet it was tasty though, the man on TV ate loads they even had sausages in the canteen. Take care, do a good guard woofer and I will watch out for you again, tell OTL lovely pictures, love the seals and the heron. xxxxxx
