Bye Bye Dennis!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Last night it came down with a vengeance. There were lashings of rain trying to hammer its way through the bedroom window and the wind was trying to rip the roof off!

Holly and I got deeper under the duvet and closed our ears, we know how to sort the rain out!

Mind you, the roads to the beach were flooded in the normal places and a few more!

The land was flooded in places that normally are not flooded and when we got to the sea side the ground was soggy as well!

It was still windy but not as much as yesterday but half way through the walk Old Two Legs spotted a big cloud formation heading our way laden with more of the wet stuff!

That was it, quick march back to the car and home to a warm blanket and a snooze under the office desk!

After the chores OTL headed off to see one of his customers so we stood guard and woofed at anyone who dared to walk in front of the house!

Lunchtime the sun came out and although the wind was blowing it had reduced down to a mild breeze, even so, OTL still put the hood up on his jacket!

Back home we were out to watch OTL replace the fence panel that had tried to fly out of the garden and for the first time this year, the water feature in the garden was working, you know, that Old Brown Whisky Jug that seems to pour water into the pond as long as the sun shines!

That's another sign that Spring is here!

Talking of signs, we saw a bunch of Daffodillies with their flowers coming out to bloom and providing it's not pouring with rain, OTL says he may get photo of it tomorrow!

By the way, OTL managed to finish those forms but only after mumbling and frustrated puffing and blowing!

Which is normal for the course with OTL!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well it's not been a bad day here but it's starting to get a bit windy again now. I'm pleased to hear OTL has finished his forms & got his fence panel sorted. I've had a walk to Busters house to drop off the car key cos our little jam jar is going for a MO T tomorrow, so keep your paws crossed that it passed please or I'll have to walk to the vet. I'm a bit miffed cos my mum had a ruby Murray for her tea and it's a bit niffy hare wot with the pillow rice and cardigan seeds. I reckon I might have to tie myself to the bed tonight in case the wind tries to blow me away. I would go down the bottom of the bed under the bedspread but I'd be in the line of fire. Hope the weather improves where you are. Have a lovely evening all. Love, licks, wags & sniffs from little Arch & the Nippers xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. The flooding is not good and about 7-30 am we had one almighty flash followed by an almighty bang then a hail storm, I tell you this because two people have told me, Michael who was putting the rubbish out and his customer who called later. Where was I, in bed and apparently fast asleep! Since then we have had rain and sunshine in equal amounts and although Dennis is going it is rain that is coming. Tomorrow we may visit the Cathedral to see the Moon after my Craft Group and Michaels visit to Capstone Park but it depends on the weather.
Now Archie is being very rude about his mum and ruby wind, if he isn’t careful she will make him sleep downstairs in that cage! How is Holly’s paw, is it getting better and how good of you both to guard the house again, keep those fences in check, they can’t just go swanning off when they fancy xxxxxx
