Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!
Wot a day! I mean, I don't think I've been so hot this year! It was hot when went out this morning and Holly was not a Happy Puppy cos before we went out there had been a very big storm pass over us full of thunder and lightning and the thunder had made Holly so scared that she had jumped onto the bed for a cuddle with Old Two Legs!
The thunder and lightning doesn't really bother me but Holly had been scared by Whizz Bangs when she was a puppy and has never forgotten it!
As the day went on it got hotter and hotter and even the ferrets stopped running around and instead they went off to find a cool spot.
OTL had put one of those freezer blocks under their blanket to help keep them cool and by midday the sun had gone around the side of the house and the temperature had dropped a little.
Down on the sea front there was a breeze blowing and we didn't hang about too long. Diving into the forrest where it was a little cooler.
We had to deliver a load of stuff to one of OTL's customers which was OK cos we could have the air-con on which made it nice and cool in the car!
Back home for some late lunch and a snooze with the curtains drawn, just to help keep the temperature down a little!
I can see that we will have an early night and let's hope it will be cool enough to sleep!

Yo maties. Well we've not had a storm yet but it's so hot here. Me and my mum slept downstairs last night on the sofa but we didn't get any decent snooze. When my mum came home from work she put the air cooler on with big ice packs and we had a snooze for about an hour then I needed some scoff. My boy bought home 2 new fans today and they're nice and quiet so we hope we can go to bed and not be disturbed by the fans blasting out the breeze. My mum has only let me out for a wee and a poo again, not that I'm bothered, it's so hot I don't want to stay out. We're going to have an early night again cos my mum is working in the morning. She's planning a nice nightcap to help her snooze a bit better, so paws crossed. Sorry Holly chops was bothered by the storm, hope she's over it now. I reckon them ferrets have the best idea, stay in bed and snooze the day away. I bet it's nice riding round with the air con on. I hear Mrs TM has been busy flinging the glue. ReplyDeleteFriday was a bit more bearable for us than the day before thankfully. Our storm came at 4am . . . noisy start to the day! Sorry your storm frightened little Holly.
