Back to Ashenbank Forest

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Now, after the run around Jeskyns Farm we got to thinking about the places we used to take when we were puppies and one of them was Ashenbank Forest. We used to look forward to going there 'cos the squirrels were great to chase after and then there was the foxes and rabbits!

It was great fun hunting them and then there was the muddy puddles!

Sooooooper!

So, this morning, before our normal time to go out, we started on Old Two Legs around ten thirty, you know, woofing and jumping up and hitting the back of his chair!

The big trees looked the same but there were loads of trees that had grown up since we were last there!

Just look at the leaves on the paths, mind you, they were hiding the muddy bits!

The pond is still there all quaggy looking around the edges, mind you it seems that it still dries up in the summer time!

We remember there were loads of fungi but it seems that they were either still waiting to grow or have finished growing and had returned to the earth to get ready for next year.

Most of the trees had dropped their leaves but there were a few that were still hanging on but they look like they have only a week or two!

I enjoyed the walk looking out for squirrels and climbing onto the trees but today we seem have missed them today.

Holly joined in the climb and at one point was running along fallen trees that we remember from our puppy days!

We met up with a woofer who was tripping around the muddy bits hidden under the leaves.

It wasn't too long before we came to and end of the path where there was a poo bin so OTL could off load our poo bags!

The Last Poo Bin!

Up here, turn right and down to the gate!

Just before the gate we saw a load of old pumpkins that at one time they may have had candles inside!

So, there we are, a return to our old walks. It will be great when the winter comes and the snow is all over the place and then there is Spring Time as well!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well that sounds like you've had really lovely day. Smashing pictures. Just look at all them leaves, I made my mum go out and pick up all the leaves in my garden today, she was out there ages picking them all up and putting them in the big brown bin. When she came in, she found the washing machine had gone on strike again, so there she was on her hands and knees, in wet water, trying to empty the machine through the emergency hatch ...... I was laughing and she was talking to the machine in french. She's decided enough is enough and she's got a chap coming next week to have a look at it and hopefully, get it to behave again. My mum hates it when machines and things go wrong, she had to pop up the shop for a packet of something to calm her nerves before she could tackle emptying it. Anyways, it's sorted for now. We've done loads of jobs today, firstly I helped strip the bed and make it again, we've had a small sort out in the utility room, loads of stuff my mum hasn't used has been put in the bin, there's still no room out there but at least some rubbish has gone. I've had a few mooches round the garden and kept an eye out for them pesky squirrels, but I haven't seen any today, do you think it might be national squirrel stay in bed day. I went for a walk, I wasn't keen at first cos the paths were wet but I bumped into Boris the bounce and little Buster, so that made a nice change and we had a quick chat about sniffs. I'm waiting for my boy to come home so we can have a wrestle but my mum says he's on lates today so I'll have a bit of a wait. Take care all and have a good evening. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the Nippers. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
