Hi Woofers!
Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
Another good day here in North Kent. The sun was shining on our morning walk around the old golf course and the grass is getting longer and there are some that are showing the seed heads as well!
Even better is the number of 'Goats Beard' or 'Jack go to bed at midday', which is a plant the closes its flower around midday!
Old Two Legs got us all back home in time for him and Eric to get off to the vet to see about Eric's sore paw.
The vet first gave Eric a 'once over' with the pushing and poking and then decided to listen to his heart with her stethoscope thing.
Eric knew he had to be still for this, so, he sat up on his backside, held onto OTL's hand so he shouldn't fall over, then as the vet got closer, Eric decided to give her ear a good licking!
Ooooh! He is one sneaky ferret!
The vet then said she would give Eric some anti-biotic Amoxicillin and instructed OTL to give some to Eric twice a day!
OTL was forced to hand over loads of dosh and got kicked out 'cos he was making such a fuss!
They can be so cruel you know!
Lunchtime OTL was still working on the computer so Holly and I gave him the woof and pointed towards our lead, walkies time!
Of course, all this sniffin' is hard work so while OTL was looking at some small flowers, Holy and I had a rest under the bench!
You could see just how much the Daisy Flowers have grown, there were so many you could hardly see the grass!
It was while we were resting that OTL spotted the Foxglove hiding behind the Nettles!
Now, this is the first time we have seen the foxglove in this part of the forest!
Going past the Oak Tree we saw some stuff that OTL reckons is Oak Apple Gall and is caused by the Oak Gall Wasp. We will have to keep an eye on this as we pass it every day on our lunchtime walk.
Back home for a snooze and a laugh at OTL trying to get Eric to take his medicine!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
Yo maties. Well I'm well impressed with little Eric having a kiss with a lady. He's definitely a chap after my own heart, I do love a lady to snuggle and kiss with, I bet she was well impressed as well. I bet he takes his medicine like a little trooper like wot I do, it's a chap thing you know. I hope his paw gets better so that OTL can save the rest of his cash to spend on you all when you go on your holidays, you know, plawn clackers and flied lice and all that sort of thing. Smashing pictures today, you and Holly chops are facing the right way so I can put that up on my cage wall. It's been quite warm here again today so I've spent most of the day in the shade having a nice siesta like wot they do on the continent. Now last night my boy came in the bedroom to see wot me and my mum thought of the new fan, while he was there I said it was nice and quiet and I was quite cool, so cool that we decided to have a wrestle, well we both got told off cos my mum said it wasn't a good idea to wind me up when I was just winding down for a snooze, but we both enjoyed it and we didn't take any notice of moaning minnie. Me and my mum are going to have a nice lay in tomorrow and then I've got a list of jobs for her to do, one of them is to cut the grass and then go shopping to get some nice treats cos I deserve some nice treats. My mum is whispering about an appointment later this week with Caroline the groomer..... I'll have to look in my diary to see if I've got her pencilled in, paws crossed I haven't on account of I don't do WET. Take care, stay safe and have a good evening all. Love, licks, wags and sniffs from little Arch and the others. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx a few for Eric the brave xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Very sunny here today too - been great to sit in the garden and have lunch. Had a nice sunny walk too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you’re all well and and that Eric should recover speedily - probably quicker than OTL will from his rapidly diminishing bank balance!!!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
