More fun with the F1 racing.

 Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

A little warmer today but still not August weather!

The F1 Qualifying was very interesting, loads of bitching about the last race when Verstuffin went and crashed.

Didn't like the sound of the crowds booing Lewis, not very sportsman like!

The run around the sea wall was interesting, loads of woofers charging about so I had to keep my eyes open in case one of them wanted a sniff!

The air was clean and we could see all the way across to Southend on Sea or as Holly calls it, Kebab Country!

If the wind was blowing in the right direction we could sniff kebabs!

The flowers are still in bloom and although we have lost a lot, these have been replaced by others.

Old Two Legs found out where the dragonflies were swarming but they were too high up in the air to get a good picture, so we had to go back to the flowers again!

 Look! No Dragonflies!

We got back home intime for the qualifying and it was great to see Lewis and Bottas getting first and second in the line up tomorrow and we reckon there will be a lot of ducking and diving down on turns one and two!

Loads of fun tomorrow!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Looking good Mr Eric!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a damp day it's been, I mean, rain, rain and to finish it off, rain!

In fact, it has been such a miserable day that I've decided to put up the photos I took yesterday, at least they had some sunshine in them!

Old Two Legs hasn't been messing about with the pond at all this year so, before all the flowers fall over and throw all their seeds all over the garden he decided to run of a snap or two.

In and around the pond we have got snails, frogs, bugs of all sorts and the odd grass snake that moves like a racing car!

On top of that there are the birds that come down for a drink and a wash and brush up!

Lunchtime it was down to the sea side and on the way we met up with Nellie the Sheep Dog. As is normal with sheep dogs all she did was to run around us and try to make us walk in line!

I mean, we are terriers not sheep!

OK, can you just sort of get together and stand still?

 As if!

It was a little windy but that kept the clouds away and we could see all the way over to Southend on Sea.

It's a pity the wind is blowing away from us or we might have got a sniff of Kebab on the wind!

Late afternoon, OTL packed Eric up in the traveling cage and off the both went to the vet who wanted to see what was happening to Eric's leg.

Eric was lifted up, turned over, rolled around and even had a picture taken of his leg!

The vet says he is pleased with the way the leg was healing and for him to come back in a couple of weeks for wot might be his final visit.

Eric says he is dead chuffed that the vet wasn't going to chop his leg off, I mean, climbing up the outside of his cage would be a little difficult!

See you tomorrow, if this rain ever stops, I mean it's August on Saturday and it's supposed to be all sunshine and heat waves!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Sometimes it's just not worth getting up!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Today has been a strange day.

To start off we went over the old golf course with The Missus first thing and as she was ferreting around in the grass and bushes, she came across a dragonfly that was rather dopy! Well, it didn't want to fly off when TM got close to it and was sort of sleeping as she brought it back for Old Two Legs to see.

OTL being OTL, whipped out his camera and took a few snaps which, I must admit, didn't look too bad.

Its legs looked a bit wobbly but it didn't look like it wanted to fly off. OTL didn't get the macro lens out or the tripod and he had the 35mm lens on the small camera. So, it was all hand held and no anti-vibration. In fact, to keep the camera steady he had to rest the camera on top of a packet of chocolate chip cookies!

That's what you get when you get stopped half way through cleaning the ferret cages and removing a ton of ferret poo!

The dragon fly was standing on a plastic box, so it was easy to rotate to get different shots.

It was lucky that the camera had a small flash on it and with a couple of adjustments the colours came out quite well.

Getting close up was always going to be difficult because of the lens size and balancing the camera on the cookie packet!

After a while OTL decided he must get back to poo shovelling and decided to put the dragonfly on one of the rocks by the side of the pond.

So, being careful not to drop the dragonfly he put it down on the rock and just as the dragonfly landed, it fluttered its wings and took off!

Unfortunately, the dragonfly got half way across the pond when a female house sparrow dived across the pond from the left-hand side, grabbed the dragonfly in its beak and flew off to enjoy a late breakfast in one of the trees in the garden!

As I've said before.

Sometimes it's just not worth getting up!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
