A sad, sad day.

 Hi Woofers.

It's Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here.

Holly Chops hasn't been feeling too well of late and what we thought was a tummy upset never really got any better.

She went to the vets this morning to have a blood test and a scan on her tummy which has been getting bigger over the last few weeks.

Lunchtime we got the results via a phone call, Holly had got a tumour that was very large, encompassing her spleen, liver and kidney.

The vet said that there was nothing she could do as a treatment and maybe it was the best time to let Holly head off to the Rainbow Bridge and wait for us.

We went down to say our good byes while she was still under the knock out drops.

She wasn't in any pain but she had been slowing down, no running and going up stairs was slow and sometimes Old Two Legs had to carry her up in his arms.

Holly came to us when she was a year old, she had been living with Martin and Lisa and the boys, Thomas and Matthew.

Settling in with us was fun, you see she had this idea that any food she saw was hers! OTL soon sorted that out but as far as food or treats go, she was still driven by her tummy!

It took her a little while to get used to the car but once she settled down, she enjoyed trips out, singing our driving songs and blowing raspberries at the truckers as we passed them!

Walks along the beaches were fun but Holly just never got to go in swimming, maybe a paddle but that was it, no further!

It was strange that she didn't mind the snow, rolling in it was great fun but water, no!

Holly's ashes will rest in the big urn in the garden together with the ferrets so, we can always have a chat with her and let her know what is happening.

  RIP Miss Holly 2009-2021

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well we're all heartbroken to hear the news of Holly chops, much loved little matey, sister, guard woofer of Mrs TM and OTL, and teacher of all things woofer to the ferrets. I loved coming down and spending the day with you on the beach and Holly chops would always share the best sniffs with me. When Holly comes home to rest, please pop and have a quiet word with her for me, tell her I love her and I'll miss hearing about the best sniffs she finds. You and Holly and the ferrets have such a lovely home and I know she was pleased to share it with you all and knew how much she was loved. We're all pleased that she managed to have a lovely holiday in one of her favourite places a few weeks ago. I just know she'll still be teaching the ferrets how to become proper woofers and I bet, Snowflake, Mr Brambles, Fred, Wilma, April and May will be feeling much safer having Holly chops to guard them while they wait for you all at the rainbow bridge. I bet Holly is looking around for the best sniffs even now to share with you all. Holly is a woofer after my own heart, don't do WET, loves scoff and sniffs. Daisy, I know you will take good care of Mrs TM and OTL who must be feeling so very sad, give them plenty of snuggles and a few kisses from me and I know they will take good care of you with all the snuggles you need. I've got to go to the vets soon to have my stitches taken out and my mum says I've got to have my face washed first, yuk. Take care all, with much love and sadness from us here. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch, my mum and my boy. RIP Holly chops, one of the best girlfriends a chap could ask for. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
