Doctor OTL to the Rescue!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here!

It has been rather sunny today, not warm but just mild. At lunchtime we could see all the way over to Southend and the Kebab Shops, but as the wind was blowing in the wrong direction, we couldn't sniff them!

We met up with a couple of poodle types who were getting nibbles as treats and on top of that a passing Spaniel got some as well.

I didn't bother, I mean, taking food from strange Two Legs is asking for trouble!

The tide was out but I don't think I would have gone in for a swim anyway, too many birdies’ flying about.

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with K!

The council have been out with the mowing machines and reduced the grass and other stuff right down to the ground. They have chopped down the brambles as well and today, for the first time ever, I trod on one as I went down the hill.

I did a yelp and hobbled along on three legs going Ouch, ouch, Ouch.

OTL spotted me limping, picked me up and plonked me on the bench top. Then he lifted my paw up and felt all around the pad until he found the thorny spike and pulled it out.

Then, just to make sure, he checked my other paws for sharp thorns. Thankfully there were no others!

Back a bit and just slightly to the left!

Many years ago Holly was out with us and she got a thorn in her paw and OTL got that one out as well.

Clever OTL!

That's it, now can you check the rest?

A few weeks ago, OTL took a picture of a butterfly he thought was a Wood Tiger but Fred, he looks after the woods at Grain, he reckons it is a Jersey Tiger Moth! Even with that information and looking at the Collins Insect Guide OTL is still confused!

I think he should go back to pulling thorns, he's better doing that!

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well I hope your paw doesn't hurt any more Daisy, good OTL getting the nasty thorn out. Now I don't like people touching under my paws on account of being very ticklish. Me and Milly went for a walk this morning and we saw a few people who were asking if we got a new woofer and then they recognised Milly. We had a text from Brenda to say she was having breakfast and missing Milly. Lunchtime, Caroline the groomer and Alfie puggle called in to see how Brenda was and if they could help. The SS didn't strike in the night thank goodness but my mum has put a cat litter tray down just in case of accidents. ( Secret .... not squirrel though ;) ). Glad it was sunny today even if it was chilly. Nice pictures, specially the ones of you Daisy. Now this flutterby thingy, my mum looks up caterpillars and things and she can never find the one she's looking for. Take care all and stay safe. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch, SS and the others. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
