Learning a new language!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy and Eric de Ferret.

You know, every day you learn a little more than you did yesterday.

Eric and I have been watching Old Two Legs installing the new computer. What he did was to get his Computer Man to clone the old hard disc, then up load it into a reconditioned high end desk top computer.

As soon as he did that, the Windows system booted up and downloaded loads of updates and stuff he had never seen before!

He has spent most of today trying to hone it to his requirements.

With all these updates it seems you can't just pick a bit out that you don't want and install bits you do want.

It's at that point he starts talking to the computer. It starts off with 'You Stupid Computer' and then sort of gathers speed and volume as well as the words get longer and invariably gather more meaning!

Couple that with talking to the Bank Help Line who took over an hour to answer the telephone and when they finally picked up the phone, told OTL, he had to go to the local branch (12 miles away), put the card in the machine and unblock the credit card!

So, as we approach evening time, he has returned from the bank, after having a race down the high street with a Traffic Warden and managing to get to the car before the nice man stuck a parking ticket on his screen!

The computer, at the moment, is being described in a Croatian farm dialect, mixed with Chinese military speak!

You do learn a lot in this household!

It started this morning with the sun getting up late, so no repeat of the sunrise the other day.

Even the Watcher missed the Sunrise!

I don't do wet grass!

We met up with Max and Oscar and had to hang around for hours while OTL and Paul discussed cameras. Now we don't mind hanging around when it's nice and dry but today the grass was not only wet but it was cold as well!

Not all of us were happy about that!

Now, OTL is still giving language lessons so I'll head down stairs where I'm sure to find Archie Babe on Zoom with The Missus!

Bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy and Eric de Ferret.

  1. Yo maties. Well Daisy I couldn't quite hear wot OTL was saying to the puter but I did notice you were asking Mrs TM for a treat in a new dialect. I heard him rushing out the door with his card and I heard the lovely greeting you gave him when he got home. I heard Mrs TM, Pat and my mum all listening to some chap on telly wot was telling porkies pies, now I'm not sure if his name was Pinocchio or Jackanory but I could hear my mum saying he told more stories than Hans Christian Anderson. I must admit to having a snooze for most of the day, except for scoff time. Nice pictures today but not the sort of day to be having to sit and wait while your TL stands around chatting. I bet your little butts got right cold. Do you know some of the frost in my garden hasn't gone away all day. I'm off for a nice snuggle before scoff time. Take care and stay safe all. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch, my mum and my boy. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
