Hello Woofers.
It's Daisy again!
Well, once again, Old Two Legs decided to stay in bed rather than get up early and see the sunrise. So, all we got is this shot and not even a storm cloud to break it up!
We did see that the Daffodillies had sprouted and the local flower picker hadn't got to them yet!
Looking good Mr Daffodilly!
When it came to our lunchtime walk, for a change we decided to visit walks we have had when I was a puppy.
We started off going through the old golf course and right through past the village hall. There, at the entrance to the golf course we came across these flowers, not sure what they are but they sure look pretty!
Not sure what they are, a sort of Daffodilly?
We carried on down to the Allhallows Marshes where as expected, it was soggy under paw!
It was so soggy that there were a couple of swans paddling in the ditch!
It can't be that deep, I mean, it only comes half way up a duck!
London Stone is right in the middle!
The best bit was when OTL saw a
rare sight, a Glossy Ibis on the other side of the ditch. It has been reported
before but we had never seen it.
Now the Glossy Ibis is normally
found in Africa so to see it in North Kent is a bit of a 'spot'!
OTL reckons it must have escaped from a private collection or maybe it has wandered off from a bird sanctuary where they have tried to breed them. OTL reckons he read something about that happening in Lincolnshire.
Well, that's it for today.
Fabulous blog post today Daisy … love the Glossy Ibis xx !
ReplyDeleteHello Woofers. I have tried to create a new page but for some reason Blogspot won't let me! I am hoping that it's Blogger that has screwed up! I'm going to switch off and hope that it resets it's self over night!
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Daisy.
Yo Daisy, sorry I missed you yesterday but I had to go to bed before you put your blog up. Wot smashing pictures you took yesterday, that glossy ibis, is that the bird that was on Countryfile a couple of weeks ago wot eat the sugar beat? It looks like billy no mates at the moment, perhaps it's a scout come down to see wot's around to scoff and will go back and tell its mates and then there will be loads of them. I've had a lazy day today, I've been watching the ladies flinging their glue around. It's been a bit of a tiring day on account of I've been up since silly o clock but I'll be having an early night tonight to make up for all the snooze I've missed out on. I hope that you and OTL do manage to get on to blogger, I'll pop back a bit later to see. Take care and stay safe and warm all. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch and the others. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
