Hello Woofers,
Daisy here.
Well, OTL has had a fun day yesterday out with Alun, his Cousi, and just for a change, they didn't get into trouble!
Alun used to be in the army and the pair of them did the 'Royal Visit' to relive Aluns time here and abroad!
OTL went out without a jacket and while he was traveling down to the barracks the heavens opened up and to stop him catching a soaking, he had to purchase a waterproof jacket. As soon as he had purchased the jacket, the rain stopped!
On the way to pick Alun up OTL spent a good hour stuck in traffic on the M25, a real pain in the butt, however, Alun phoned ahead to confirm they were on their way and to confirm no one had pinched their parking spot!
The museum was very interesting and there was one layout of the Battle of Waterloo which his company played a part!
Aluns part in the Borneo war while below is a section of the Battle of Waterloo!
The whole layout took 21,000 models. the total number on the battle field was estimated at 250,000!
It is amazing just how many battles his company were engaged in!
The Royal Green Jackets were the inspiration of the 'Sharpe' novels!
After dropping Alun off at home OTL got stuck on the M26 motorway for over an hour, it really wasn't OTL's day for driving!
Today OTL has finished the pond and we are expecting the plants to turn up in a week or so and the pump is due to arrive in four or five days!
Allowing for August Bank Holiday!
Bye for now.
Luv,
Daisy.
Yo Daisy. Well I'm pleased OTL enjoyed his day out. I hope he brought home some treats for you and Mrs TM who didn't get to have a day out. It's good to hear the pond is coming along and when you finally get all your new plants and pump, you'll all be able to sit round it and put your paws up. I'm sure it will look lovely and all the little pond dwelling creatures will be made up with the make over. Nothing much interesting has happened here over the last couple of days, which means I don't have to do guarding and scaring off of intruders. I'm off to bed early tonight on account of it's the weekend and that's when I do most of my work. Take care and stay safe all. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch and the others. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
