Hello woofers!
Missed me?
Sorry about yesterday, we started off with getting up too early and running into the back of the lads!
As normal I let them get on with ball chasing and gang sniffing!
OTL took a look at the clouds and decided that it would be a good day for emptying the pond.
The Missus spent all day up at the village hall so there were no instructions on how to wave a bucket about!
It looked like it was going to be cool, well, that was it until we started to empty the pond cos the sun came out and OTL was getting all muddied taking out the rotting vegetation, in fact it was so rotten it could be almost classed as oil!
The day finished with all the water and oil being removed from the pond and poor OTL unable to move!
Today OTL finished off the congealed oil in the bottom of the hole and then started off pushing the rocks away from the pond edge.
Now, the lining was supposed to last at least 40 years but the start was OK, loads of wild life and pond life plus reeds and lilies.
Then one day it started to leak water, hence the need to reline. You can see where the holes were, there are two small holes and, in the holes, there was growing a couple of small plants!
Needless to say, OTL pulled the weeds out and spent the rest of today moving rocks and pebbles ready for the new liner to arrive which should be towards the end of next week.
So, over the next few days OTL will finish the rock moving, providing his back holds up!
See you tomorrow!
Luv,
Daisy!
Yo Daisy. Well that looks like hard work. I bet you had a hard time supervising all that. I suppose we better keep our paws crossed that it doesn't rain and fill the pond up again. I had a visit from Brenda and Millie yesterday afternoon, they came for their cup of coffee with treats for me. I was up early guarding this morning and I have to get up early tomorrow and guard again. Nothing much to report here, I went for an early walk yesterday but all my mates must have been having a Saturday lay in. Glad to hear you managed to catch up with your mates though. Take care and stay safe all. Love, licks and sniffs from little Arch and the others. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
