Another terrible day, you know it was minus four degrees this morning.
The birdies were skating on the pond ice first thing but the good news is, there were no dead birdies on the path or anywhere else in the garden.
I was thinking of having a skate buy OTL said it was just too deep if the ice gave way and he didn't fancy wading into the pond to rescue me!
Looking at the forecast, it should start to get warmer over the weekend and the temperature should start to edge into the plus figures!
OTL is still tucked up under the blankets and trying to keep warm.
The birdies are making a right mess with the seed feeders but between the sparrows and the pigeons they seem to clean everything edible on and under the feeders!
I'll see if he can photograph them out of the rear windows tomorrow.

Yo Daisy. Another freezing day here too. We had -5 register at one point this morning. Now I'm sure Daisy that OTL would have dived into the pond without a 2nd thought if you'd gone thru the ice. We've got a humungus spider sitting outside our back door waiting for the chance to scurry in, well my mum is not having that and she shines the torch at him so he scurries back into his hole in the wall and she makes sure the back door isn't open long enough for him to try to risk getting in before it's shut. Hope OTL is feeling better today and not shivering too much on account of it could make a little woofer sitting on his lap waiting for a crumb of biscuit, fall off if he shakes too much. My mum has just come back from a meeting and who should be there but the leader of the council, well my mum told him best he didn't hang around her and went away, I reckon he might have scurried off faster than the spider outside the door. Tell Mrs TM the book is on its way. Take care, stay safe and warm all.
