The Missus Returns!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

What a let down! Yesterday evening we were expecting the Great Flood with loads of Thunder & Lightning, power failures and stuff like that.

What happened?

All we got was a mild shower and two flashes of lightning and that was it!

Old Two Legs had set up the camera ready for some photographs of the storm and nothing happened!

We were all disappointed!

We were up early this morning 'cos we were woken up by the ferrets re arranging their furniture again. There is something about a Poo Pot as it crashes against the cage that just screams out for your attention, no matter fast asleep you are!

Snowflake came out with us this morning and we all set about hunting rabbit. I saw one and was creeping up on it when Holly came crashing past me, in 'Full Charge' mode and scared the rabbit down its burrow. Snowflake offered to go down and flush it out but OTL said 'no' to that idea!

Down on the beach we all sat to see if the tide was coming in or out and decided that 'Out' was the answer, so no swimming this morning.

Mind you, that didn't stop us from having a good sniff around to see if the tide had brought in any 'Super Sniffs' this morning!

Not a 'Super Sniff' but rather it's an 'Interesting Sniff'
Back home for a brush and breakfast, we got the brush, that was good but when breakfast was served it was 'Doggy Scoff' Yuk!

Holly and I retired to the sofa for a snooze after checking that Snowflake was eating her breakfast, which she was.

You know, that Ferret Nuggets stuff ain't too bad, it's made from chicken or turkey and tastes OK.

Maybe we could do a swap with her for our Doggy Scoff?

Snowflake settled down to her 'After Breakfast Snooze' cuddled up to Mr Brambles.

'After Breakfast Snooze'
OTL headed of to the Little Car armed with a vacuum cleaner, nasty noisy thing that is, the vacuum cleaner, not the car!

We came back from our lunch time walk, just Holly and I 'cos Mr Brambles said it was just too hot for him, half way down the path I got a familiar sniff. As I got closer to the front door the sniff got stronger and when we got in the hall I was positive.

The Missus was home!

We crashed through the door and there she was, sitting on the sofa!

Both Holly and I gave her a big 'Welcome Home' lick and we both jumped up onto the sofa and around the lounge and back up on the sofa and then another lick and around the lounge again then back up on the sofa!

We think she could see that we were pleased to see her!

After we all settled down, TM put the recording of the F1 racing on and we enjoyed a very good race. Lots of super racing and in the end Lewis finally got first place!

So, now we are all snoozy again and like the ferrets, Holly and I are enjoying a late afternoon snooze.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Wot A Day!

Hi Woofers!

Guess who is here? Yes! It's Old Two Legs!

Not forgetting Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Down here in North Kent we have had a day of excitement!

First of all Snowflake came with us for the morning jog along the beach. She said that there was no way she was going in for a swim 'cos the mud looked too 'Yucky' so she will stick with the training run, thank you very much!

Just a Jog Thank You!
Holly agreed with her, no swimming and better still, no jogging!

Now that's OK providing you don't have to jog too quickly and Snowflake is getting very good at this running lark.  I'm OK 'cos I'll super fit and sleek and fast but Holly is more of the 4 x 4, slow lumbering but gets there in the end!

Back home to a hearty breakfast of Lambs Heart which I made disappear in no time flat. Holly said she didn't feel like eating and left hers. OTL covered it up and put it in the fridge until later when the temperature cools down a bit.

Now, last night there was forecasts of storms and wind and rain and hail and floods today, at lunch time it still was sunny!

We decided to go out for our lunchtime stroll and of course, take Mr Brambles with us. We went the long way around the circuit and the idea was to stay away from other Two Legs who go Oooh! and Ahhhh! and Wossat? a Rat?

What did we meet? A Family of Two Legs but this time one of the little girls called out 'Look! A Ferret!'

Well that was a good start, at least she knew what she was looking at! Next they wanted to stroke Mr Brambles then blow me down, they wanted to have their photo taken with Mr Brambles! Mr Brambles says it's 'cos he has 'Star Quality' Holly said it was 'cos most Two Legs like that are Dopey and did daft things like have their photo taken with small furry people!

Next it was down to the beach for a dig in the sand.

Holly and I started off in our own hole having a great time.

It's a Daisy-Holly Hole!
Mr Brambles was a bit further back digging his own hole!

This is going to be a Quality Hole!

Next this we know, up marches Mr Brambles and claims that he is going to do a Health & Safety Inspection on our hole and would we clear off!

Health & Safety Inspection!
Holly and I had never heard of that before but it sounded very important, so we let her get on with it. Old Two Legs said it looked more like we were being robbed of our sand hole by a very clever ferret!

This 'Ere Hole Is Condemned!
Next thing we know, our lovely hole was pronounced as being 'Unsafe and Condemned' and she said we weren't allowed back in it again!

Then she marched off saying we would get 'Official Notification' in the post!

Inspection Over, I'm off!
I think I believe OTL, 'We Wuz Robbed!'

We got back home and it was still all sun shine, no sign of a storm yet, but just to make sure, this morning OTL watered the flowers in the pots in the garden and that is a sure way of making it rain!

By the way, there's an old Two Legs in the next village, building a boat and advertising for 'Animals Two by Two', do you think he knows something?

See you tomorrow, we are off to see what OTL is cooking for dinner and maybe mug a bit for us!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

FFF & F1

Hi Woofers!

Guess Who? Yes! It's Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Last night was a bit warm again, so we were wandering about looking for a cool spot. I decided that Old Two Legs bed was a 'Good Place', so I crashed out there. Holly, on the other hand decided the lounge arm chair was 'The Place to Be' and both Mr Brambles and Snowflake crashed out on our old sleeping bed cushion and decided it was the most 'Ferret Friendly' place to be.

OTL stayed in bed, on his back and snored his head off, as normal!

We were up good and early this morning, no real reason but the temperature had dropped and we all felt lively, even the ferrets were chasing each other around!

OTL was still snoring his head off but a cold wet nose in his ear and me licking his bald head soon got him out of bed!

We took Snowflake out first thing for a run with us along the Sea Wall. As you know, Snowflake is not really into digging holes or swimming, but she does enjoy a good jog!

Normally what happens is, OTL gets her all kitted up in her harness and clips the lead on, then he carries her to the beach which is the start of her run. She used the 'Carrying Time' to wake up, have a stretch and enjoy a sniff before the 'Off'.

Wake me up when we get there!
Mind you, it does take a couple of minutes for her to work out which way to go and make sure no one is in her way!

She says that she is getting faster now and should be called a Fast Flying Ferret! Holly says that she is just showing off 'cos OTL looks after her and picks her up if she gets tired!

Get that Dog Off The Track, FFF about to Set Off!
She can be a right Fuss Pot sometimes!

Fast Flying Ferret Coming Through!
Holly and I raced ahead 'cos we know that when Snowflake gets to the 'Rabbit Hunting' place we will have to be put on the lead, so a quick 'Ferret' around just to see in there are any bunnies out to play!

No Bunnies Today!
Back home we got a super bowl of freshly cooked chicken, we know it was freshly cooked 'cos it was still hot and because OTL does it, he leaves the skin on the chicken and that tastes super as well!

We spent the morning with full tummies, snoozing our heads off. OTL did a bit of work in the office then back out to the Little Car to see if he can clean it up where the lettering was. You know, he even tried spraying some WD40 on it to remove the glue!

Of course, we knew that wouldn't work, in the end he was using White Spirit and that removed the glue stuff!

Our lunch time walk was great fun,Mr Brambles came with us, even though it was a bit warm. He is good fun 'cos he loves swimming but today he decided to keep his paws dry!

Unlike me!

Me Cooling My Bits
It was super, just sloshing about in the water and as normal, Holly stayed on the  shore keeping dry!

Mr Brambles said he wouldn't come in swimming today 'cos he fancied some hole digging in the sand!

I'll pass on the swim today!
It wasn't long before we were down on the 'Hole Digging Beach' and after a quick paddle I set to digging a big hole.

Mr Brambles started to dig a hole where all the shells were, he said that his hole was called a 'Shell'ter'! Oh Yes! Very Droll!

Shell'ter from The Storm!
Holly and I were going potty with our own hole and didn't see Mr Brambles creep up on us! Just as we were both 'Tail Up, Nose Down' in the hole he came up behind and gave us both a nip on our rear legs!

That was it, we almost took off!

As soon as we were in the air, Mr Brambles dived into our hole and declared it to be Ferret Territory and told us to find another hole!!

Mr Brambles getting his own back for yesterday!
OTL was sitting on the steps laughing his ears off at the way we got out of the hole. Mr Brambles walked over and said that he was ready to go and 'Didn't he Sort Us Out'!

That's Them Sorted!
Back home we spent the afternoon watching the F1 Practice on the TV while OTL was doing his office stuff and making phone calls!

I think we got the best idea, I mean, working is so boring!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Mr Brambles Digs Another Hole!

Hello Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Another hot day, but we get lots of water to drink and some cool shade to  snooze in, so we're OK.

This morning Old Two Legs said that we would take Mr Brambles out with us for a walk 'cos he really enjoys the morning walk as it's not so hot.

Snowflake said it was OK by her and rolled over and went back to sleep again!

Of we went in the little car and very soon we were racing along the path to were the rabbits are. Sadly, there were none there, they had all gone back to bed!

It wasn't long before we were on the beach, one of my favourite places!

I just love it when the tide is in 'cos then I can have a 'Deep Paddle' and even when the tide is out I can still get a cooling mud bath!

Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud!
While I was cooling off, Holly found a shady spot under the Sea Wall but Mr Brambles, he was off and digging like a tunnelling machine, he was relentless!

Hi, Ho, Hi Ho, it's Down the Hole we go!
Sand was flying out the back of his legs, just like a terrier after a rat! Well, we couldn't be shown up like that! I mean, two dogs out done in a digging contest by a Ferret?

Yeah, Getting Down and Dirty in De Hole!
Next thing we know is Holly shoving Mr Brambles out the way and in she goes like a steam train!

This is how it's done Shorty!
Mr Brambles was not a happy ferret, he was shoved out of the hole by Holly and all he could do was sit there and Glower!

Ferrets are good at Glowering!

Mr Brambles, Glowering!

It wasn't long before I had a go as well and soon got really filthy with mud and sand all over me!

Me getting Really Filthy!
Mr Brambles said he wasn't playing with us any more and marched off to a fresh patch of sand.

That's It, I'm OFF!
He started another hole but in the end it was more like a scrape, deep enough to be cool but not so deep that he disappears down to the bottom!

This is a good hole, and it's all MINE!
So, OTL and his little 'Point & Shoot' camera managed a couple of good photos, next time, we will ask him to take it instead of his big flashy one!

Back home a parcel arrived with the new shelves for Snowy Heights, the ferret cage, OTL has installed then how he thinks they should be and we await Mr Brambles and Snowflake to let him know if he has done it all correctly!

Ferrets can be so fussy sometimes!

Lunch time Snowflake came out with us but she was not as much fun as Mr Brambles, all she wanted to do was hunt rabbit!

This afternoon we spent snoozing, OTL was going to start on the inside of the Little Car, clearing out all the stones and mud and fur and old paper and sweet wrappings and scent bottles (The Missus's) and hand wipes and, and ,and!

But it was just too hot, so instead he had lunch followed by a snooze!

We know how to live!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Mr Brambles goes in for a swim!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a hot day today!

We have decided that this is a good day for 'Doing Nothing'! There are some days when doing nothing is the most sensible.

Our morning stroll was a gentle one, not too much rushing about and Snowflake came with us this time. As soon as she was put down on the beach, she headed for home! She said that she would rather be at home, doing nothing!

Us sensible ones know just what to do, unlike Old Two Legs, he spent most of the morning out trying to get the lettering off the little car, with a 'Hot Air Gun', as if it wasn't hot enough as it was!

So, by lunch time he was suffering from too much heat!

Mr Brambles went with us for our midday stroll and as the tide was right in, he got even closer to the water this time and got caught out by a wave that came and washed him off the beach, he paddled like crazy, for a short while until his claws reached the beach again and he scrambled out, soaking wet and with a big grin on his face!

OTL had him on a lead, so there was never any danger of him being swept out to sea. I had a deep paddle as well which helped me cool down a bit. Holly just parked herself under a bench, in the shadow and wanted to know how long before we get home!

Some little two legs were on the beach and wanted to stroke Mr Brambles and OTL had to instruct them on how to do it.

'This End is the Bitey End and This End is the Stroaky End'

OTL would make a good teacher!

Back to the car and while OTL was finding his keys and getting the seat belt on, I decided that the best place to be is on OTL's lap, so I jumped up and then snuggled down for a cuddle.

OTL was not pleased, you see I was still soaking wet from my deep paddle!

By the time we got home, OTL was still soaking wet and he had to change his trousers 'cos he says it looks like he has wee'd himself!

Mr Brambles managed to dry off before we got home, so he was able to have some lunch and the crash out for the afternoon!

OTL went back out to finish off the car and came back in all hot and bothered. He is presently snoozing in the lounge so we will be waking him up soon, he has got to do some dinner for us all!

Sorry, no pictures today, OTL says that two dogs and a ferret is just about all he can handle and a camera would be too much.

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles (He just loves a 'Splash & a Dash!)!

Can a Ferret be a Dog?

Hi Woofers!

We're here again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

What a Night!

We had terrible thunder storms last night, there was lighting flashing all over the place, then great big BOOMS when the thunder crashed after the lightening!

It was dead scary! Holly and I jumped up onto Old Two Legs bed and we stayed cuddled up until it all went away!

When we got up this morning there was still some rain falling but surprise, surprise, the pond had filled right up to the top!

Snowflake had stayed awake all through the thunderstorm, so she was still very sleepy when we all got up. Mr Brambles is a bit like OTL when it comes to sleep, it was a case of  'What Thunder Storm?'

So he was all wide awake and jumping all over the place!

OTL decided that instead of waking Snowflake up again, he would take Mr Brambles with us for a walk along the Sea Wall.

Today Mr Brambles was all up for the walk and even asked to be put on the ground as soon as we had cleared the car park. He was sniffing and snuffling all along the path and through the grass. He was a bit too slow for us but that gave us more time to get all the sniffs. He had to be carried a few times but he was going strong. We stopped off at our favourite beach, the one with sand instead of stones. Holly and I had a game of chase and we both dug some holes in the sand.

There was a pause in our game, just long enough to see Mr Brambles digging his own hole in the sand! He was going like stink! Shoveling the sand our the back and snuffling for sniffs!

'Hey', calls Holly, 'Look! A Ferret Dog!'

That was it, we both rushed over and offered to help Mr Brambles to dig a bigger hole, 'Ferret Off' he says and gives Holly a playful nip! Well, we went back to our hole, then came back his hole, had a couple of digs, rushed off again and then Mr Brambles came and took over our hole for a dig while we opened up his hole a bit more!

It was great fun and OTL was laughing his head off at us!

Mr Brambles even went and washed his paws in the rock pools on the sea shore but because there is mud all over the place, his paws got covered in mud and of course, he got muckier the more he paddled!

Just like a dog!

Holly said that maybe Mr Brambles is really a dog at heart and should be allowed into our gang full time!

Woofers Rool OK!

Lunchtime was a washout, Snowflake stayed in bed, Mr Brambles was snoring and outside, it was raining!

So, this day the only pictures we can offer are a couple that OTL took this morning with his new flash attachment for his camera.

A Hover Fly that Landed!
These flowers are in the garden, by the pond, but if you were to zoom out you would see that they are in pots!

Freshly Watered.
Last night OTL watered these flowers 'cos that was one of the things on his 'Instruction Sheet' left by The Missus, he watered the flowers, then the thunderstorm came a watered them some more!

I don't think he is going to water them tonight.

We got tons of these things on our pond, they skate around on top of the water without sinking, some thing to do with 'Water Tension' says OTL, well, all I can say is that it don't work for me, I just sink, no matter how tense I get!

A Water Boatman.
Guess what? We have been invited out tonight to do some baby sitting at Andrea's place and OTL gets fed as a 'Thank You'! That gets him out of the cooking and dish washing at home!

Here's hoping there is a nibble for us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles (Honorary Dog)!

The Next Day!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Please, no loud noises please, you see we had a super party last night and didn't get to bed until late!

Mr Brambles over did it on his 'Home Made Hooch'  and was very late in getting up today!

Snowflake asked if she could be excused the morning jog but Old Two Legs said that if he had to go then Snowflake had to go as well!

When we got back Mr Brambles was still sleeping it off!

Never Again, just leave me alone!
Holly said she had a head ache but after a while in the fresh air it cleared. I was OK, maybe 'cos I stayed off the Hooch!

Mr Brambles got up later and after a slurp of Ferretone, he said he was feeling a lot better!

OTL adjusted an old harness of Snowflakes so it would fit Mr Brambles. He said that it was a bit strange and said that Pink was just not his colour!

There is a blue one on order!

So, fitted out with his harness he had a run around the garden to see if he was bothered by the harness and lead. No problem, he was ducking and diving and ferreting all over the garden and even had a run around the pond edge and got his paws all muddy, that's 'cos he waked across the place where the birds have their bath!

OTL said that he was so pleased with Mr Brambles he would take him with us on our lunchtime walk along the Sea Wall.

Well, as you know, Mr Brambles rear right foot is not all there, one toe missing and it looks like he was born like that. When OTL put him down to have a walk his back end didn't walk like Snowflakes back end. We think he has a problem that he was born with regarding his hip.

As we aren't vets or doctors we are only guessing. However, he waddled along and enjoyed all the sniffs and also did what Snowflake did to begin with, like, walk the opposite way to the way OTL wanted to go!

So OTL had to pick him up and walk to the beach where Snowflake starts her walk.

Mr Brambles walked along the beach a bit, then headed off towards the sea. It was High Tide and all the big waves were splashing on the shore. Mr Brambles got a little damp from walking on the wet sand, sea weed and sea shells but managed to miss the waves, just!

He then headed in the right direction and came across a clump of grass that Snowflake likes to scent mark by rubbing her chin on the grass. Mr Brambles stopped and did the exact same thing!

We are not sure if he could sniff Snowflake or there was some other animal that marks that place but it was interesting to see they both did the same thing!

After that, there was no real sign he was following Snowflakes path, even when OTL pointed him in the right direction, several times!

His progress got slower and we think that he may be getting tired and hot, so OTL carried him the rest of the way back to the car where he had a drink from our bowl, just like Snowflake does, then retired to the traveling cage to drink some more from his water bottle!

So, all in all a successful trip out. Mr Brambles accepted the harness and the lead, he was very interested in all the sniffs along the way. That means he will be joining us again for our walk and if he gets to run a bit and do the whole run back to the car, we may even get Snowflake to join us, but I think Mr Brambles has got a bit of training to do first!

Since his walk, he has crashed out on the mattress and has been snoring his head off!

It's hard work being a ferret around this household!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL's Been Around in Circles Again!

Hi All You Woofers!

It's us back again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Last night was fun, I mean really good fun, after Old Two Legs and The Missus went to bed, Mr Brambles and Snowflake started to have a 'Party', they were moving all the furniture to the walls and dancing the 'Ferret War Dance' all up and down the ramps and all over the two floors as well!

Holly and I just had to go and have a look and before long we were joining in the singing and Holly was even doing the Boogie on the office carpet!

Well, OTL called out for us all to be quiet but we didn't take any notice and carried on the dancing and singing until the early hours of the morning!

We were late in getting up this morning!

Snowflake came with us on our morning stroll but she fell asleep on OTL's arm on our way to the beach!

When OTL put her down on the sand she headed off in the wrong direction and landed up in a big pile of seaweed!

Back home Mr Brambles was still asleep, so Snowflake gave him a kick and told him to 'Stop Snoring and Get UP!'

She can be so Bossy!

The Missus had got all her stuff packed up and was soon out the door and heading off to Birmingham for her weeks 'Baby Sitting' duties!

Holly says that now we can have a whole week of partying and staying up late and generally going potty!

Lunch time we went down on the beach again and of course, I just had to have a paddle and even Holly managed to get her claws wet!

Hey! It's getting damp!
I had some fun trying to get Holly closer to the water but in the end she turned tail and ran!

Looks too wet to me!
It wasn't long before she was back on her favourite beach, the Sea Wall!

This is my kind of beach!
OTL was all clicking away at butterflies and this one is a Small Skipper, well that's what we think but the Large Skipper looks just about the same only a couple of millimetres bigger!

A Small/Large Skipper!
It was easier when we spotted the Gate Keeper but as Holly said, 'Where's the Gate?

Where's The Gate?
She is such a Wag!

Must go now, Mr Brambles is brewing up some special Ferret Hooch for tonight's party and OTL says he may even get out the whisky as well!

See you tomorrow, but not too early please!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Ferrets? Wot Ferrets?

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Have you noticed that us poor doggies have been sort of 'shoved' to one side the last few days?

I know that a new ferret is super news but lets face it, this is called Daisy's Diary!

Holly and me have been having a chat, we have decided not to ask Old Two Legs for a couple of super 'Fit' boy doggies for us 'cos we don't fancy the idea of having a cold wet noses shoved under our tail every time we turn around and on top of that, there are not enough snoozing places in the house to share with more doggies and on top of that they always want to wee half way up lampposts!

Have you noticed that it is a bit cooler today? Well it is down here so it has been most enjoyable, walking along the Sea Wall. Holly and I spotted a football on the beach but it had no air inside 'cos it must have got a puncture at some time, not that it worried us, we still had fun throwing it in the air!

Grrrr!  Take That!

I tried digging a hole big enough to bury the ball in but Holly kept pushing me to one side thinking I had something to eat that I was burying!

Wotcha Got to Eat?
In the end she agreed that I would bury it then she would play 'Hunt The Ball'!

Come on, Have you Hidden it yet?
We found a family sitting on the beach having something to eat, I fancied my chances of getting a nibble or two so I started to 'Talk' to them. Now, it always seems to work with OTL or The Missus but on this occasion I failed totally 'cos all they did was laugh!

Go On, Just A Nibble?
OTL spotted some butterflies dancing about in the bushes, so that kept him busy for a while, allowing Holly and I to have a sniff for some rabbits!

This is called A Gate Keeper!
Back home, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles had spent most of the day snoozing, they were moving about from one bed to another, one moment cuddled up together and then in separate beds! They sure do travel a lot when sleeping!
Nah! You Choose The Next Bed!
OTL has ordered some more shelving and ladders for their cage, this is so they can get form one place to another a bit easier than at present. Holly says that by the time OTL finishes, it will look like a three dimensional game of 'Snakes & Ladders'!

Mind you, we saw Brambles in OTL's boot again and we reckon that if he keeps sniffing that boot like that, then everything will look like Snakes & Ladders'!

Mmmmm! OTL Sniff!
We did see that Snowflake has been teaching Brambles some tricks. This one is good, it's called 'Let's Mug OTL's Breakfast'.

The milk is super cold and goes down a treat first thing in the morning!

This is Grrreat!
Hey! I've just realised, I was planning a Blog with no ferrets and look what's happened!

I've tried to Ferret Proof this Blog but they still get in!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles

Mr Brambles finds the Poo Tray and we find a Lilly!

Hi Woofers!

It us again, Daisy, Holly, Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Last night Holly and I headed for bed but Old Two Legs went in to see Snowflake and Mr Brambles. They were both awake and ready for a game, so the three of them were playing games of 'Chase The Mouse' and 'Let's Hide in OTL's Boot' and in the end OTL had both of them on his lap having their tummy's tickled and getting slurps of Ferretone!

Well, It's better than a Bed Time Story!

Mr Brambles has been having problems deciding where the best place is to have a wee or a poo, under OTL's desk, behind the office door, on the floor of Snowy Heights anywhere except the poo tray!

Yesterday OTL scooped up Mr Brambles poo and put it in the poo tray together with Snowflakes and left it for a day. Normally OTL cleans it all up every morning but he was trying to get Mr Brambles to 'add to the pile' as it were!

Well, this morning the cage was clean of wee and poo on the floor and the poo tray was well full!

Success of a sort!

That was until Mr Brambles was let out for a run around and stopped at the office door for a quick wee!

He'll learn in the end!

Before taking us out for our morning walk there was a big game in the office, Snowflake, Mr Brambles and OTL were chasing around and Snowflake was chuckling (Dook'ing) while jumping onto Mr Brambles back!

You're not getting away this time!
In fact she got so carried away with her 'War Dance' that when she bumped into OTL's arm, she gave him a quick, playful, nip, and forgot his skin is not as tough as a ferrets!

OTL didn't mind 'cos both ferrets were happy and having fun. It will be great when Mr Brambles gets confident enough to start chuckling like Snowflake does!

Mr Brambles also was chasing Snowflake around and one time he rolled her onto her back and tickled her so much we thought she was going to laugh her head off

Oh No! That's my Tickley Spot!
Mr Brambles continued his exploration of the office and discovered where OTL leaves his boots. There was Snowflake in one and Mr Brambles in the other trying to dig their way out!

OTL just couldn't get to his camera in time!

.....and what's around this corner?
The game was getting all 'Fast & Furious' and sometimes there was nowhere for Mr Brambles to hide!

Snowflake on another Charge!
When Snowflake was in the tunnels, Mr Brambles would come up to OTL for a cuddle and a slurp!

Quick! Pick me up before she gets me again!
Our morning walk was great, there was a good breeze blowing in off the sea so it wasn't too hot.

OTL has ordered up a blue harness for Mr Brambles and a big sleeping bag so they can both get in and have plenty of room. Also, OTL has ordered up some 'Name Tags' just like ours but much smaller so in case they escape the lead while out walking, they may stand a chance of being reunited.

That's the trouble with ferrets, no homing instinct. Mind you, Snowflake always takes the same path back to the car every time and even turns off into the grass to follow us at the same spot. Holly reckons it's the sniff of us all that she is following.

It will be interesting, when we take Mr Brambles out, to see if he follows the sniff as well!

Now then, Great News! One of 'The Lilly's' has Flowered this morning and as soon as the flower started to open, OTL was out there with his camera clicking away.

It didn't help having a gale force wind blowing around the garden but that's what you have to put up with here, it seems that the houses around here manage to whip up a gentle breeze into a force eight gale!

This is the 'Midday Shot' of the Lilly, tomorrow it should be fully open.

Our first Lilly Flower!
We reckon that tomorrow it will open right up and look even better!

The water droplets were sprayed on by The Missus, OTL said, 'Just sprinkle a Couple of drops on the flower, so she got the watering can and half filled the pond and even chased Holly around trying to wet her tail with the water!

Holly was not amused!

By the way, that bottom petal you can see has a swimming pool big enough for Snowflake and Mr Brambles at the same time!

We have just had a look at the 'Poo Tray and see that Snowflake goes down one end, as normal, and Mr Brambles does his stuff down the other!

How many ferrets do you know with a 'His & Her's' end of a Poo Tray!

We don't know a lot about Mr Brambles history except that  he landed up in the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue Centre and when he arrived he was declared to be four years old. He was up for re homing but when the new owners arrived it was noticed that he was all sort of lethargic and didn't seem to take any interest in anything going on around him. He was given a course of anti biotic stuff and now seems as right as rain!

OTL didn't press them for any more details 'cos as he says, 'It's not the past you should worry about, it's the future that's important'!

We reckon that Mr Brambles has got a super life ahead of him, good food, an eager 'Dolly Bird' as a mate and Ferretone by the gallon and on top of all that, his own private end of the Poo Tray!

Life just don't get better!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Snowflake (Dolly Bird?) and Mr Brambles!
