First Fly this year!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

It has been a super day today, the sun shone and the breeze blew and we went down The Forest again!

The morning walk was all 'Gentle' and easy going. The Ferrets stayed in the ferret bag all the way down to the beach and then after a quick wee, they both tried to get back in the bag again!

Old Two Legs wasn't having any of that and turfed them both out again!

Holly and I enjoyed a sit down on the beach and just sort of enjoyed the view across the water. Holly said that she could sit there all day if OTL would allow it!

I could stay here all day, except for meal times!
As we headed back towards the car, Mr Brambles was making a fuss about getting up the steps, he said they were getting bigger every day!

Either my legs are wearing out or this step is getting bigger!
Back home to a good feast of chicken and then a snooze, as you do!

Lunchtime I gave OTL's chair the old 'Shove in The Back' to indicate that it was walkies time and finally we were off, in the big car!

We stopped off at one of his customers and picked up some gear, had a chat and then went down The Forest!

We haven't been there for a little while so we were catching up on all the sniffs!

Sniff No. 1 in The Forest!
It was noticeable that Autumn is on its way, we noticed that the leaves had started to fall off the big trees and cover the paths.

A Leafy Glade?
While Holly and I were Sniffing the Sniffs, OTL was rummaging around in the undergrowth and found a Fly Agaric, the first one this year!

It looked in good condition and although it wasn't very big, it did have the white spots and a nice waxy cap!
First this year!
OTL was then in 'Hunting Mode' but couldn't find any more fungi anywhere!

The Heeland Coo's' were in the forest but as much as we looked, we didn't see them at all. Holly said that they may have gone away for a few days holiday before the autumn sets in!

We carried on with the sniffs and kept an eye out for any squirrels that may be lurking about but we didn't see any either, maybe they had gone on holiday with the Heeland Coo's!

Last sniff of the walk before the car park!
When we got home OTL got in trouble for not taking off his boots and leaving bits of mud on the carpet.

He is always in trouble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Boot Inspection!

Hi Woofers!

The gang's back, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles!

Now, remember what I told you about the boots yesterday?

How they needed an 'Inspection' from the ferrets?

Well, first of all we went for a walk down on the Sea Wall and Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles had a good ferret around on the beach, and in the wet grass!

I sniff a Slimy!
Mr Brambles was full of mischief and spent some time chasing Holly and creeping up on me!

Boo!
Back home Holly and I headed off to see what was on the menu while the ferrets headed off to have some fun with Old Two Legs new boots!

Miss Snowflake got into 'Test Mode' and was trying the soles with her super sharp teeth!

Mmmmm! Tasty!
Once she had finished with the soles she was inside sniffing and snuffling all the way down to the very end!

I love the new sniff!
Mr Brambles was having his breakfast while Miss Snowflake was doing her investigating but as soon as he had finished feeding his face he was out and into the boots!

There's no turning room in here!
Being a bit larger than Snowflake he couldn't get all the way down to the bottom and had to reverse out but he did say the sniff was great inside.

It is going to be a pity that OTL will have to put his big paws in there and make it all smelly!

Mr Brambles was asking if he could have a little chew of the toe caps but OTL said that if he saw any teeth marks, he would unscrew both of their tails and use them as a boot brush!

Yeah, Right, First he's got to catch them!

Mmmm Tasty!
We all headed off for a snooze and OTL went back to work again, well, it is Monday!

Lunchtime we were out delivering stuff and ended up at the Riverside Park, great stuff!

The tide was in and Holly Dog was too hot!

You know what? She even followed me into the water to cool her paws off! Of course, I went splashing in and had a small swim but she wouldn't go in any further than her knees!

No! No Further!
What was funny to see was Holly. sitting on the grass worrying on how she was going to dry her paws!

Come on! Did you bring a towel? My Paws are wet!
OTL had a towel back in the car but to be honest, I reckon Holly's paws were dry by the time we got back! Still, it didn't stop her asking OTL to give her a rub down with the towel, just in case there were any wet patches!

She can be such a wimp sometimes!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Aha! OTL's Boots!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here.

Now I know I forgot to tell you about Old Two Legs boots yesterday. There was a very good reason, we were late in up loading the blog, The Missus was serving up food for OTL and I didn't want to miss out on some muggins!

To make up for it, here is the story!

Once Upon a Time, long, long ago, OTL was in need of some new boots 'cos the last ones were all worn out on the soles and you could see his socks poking through the bottoms!

OTL, being 'A Very Careful' Two Legs, decided to spend some money and get a good 'Working Boot' which he used every time he went out walking dogs or working or other 'rough stuff'. Well, these boots were great, Holly and I always went for a sniff of his boots whenever he left us at home and that way we could tell where he had been and if he had stepped in any good sniffs!

Finally these boots got sort of worn out and started to fall apart. Not a good thing if you are walking in water or wet mud or stuff like that!

So, with a deep heart he went and counted up what pocket money he had saved up over the years, (and what TM hadn't found!), then he scoured the Interweb Thingy for a pair of boots like wot he had before.

Finally, after hours of searching he found a pair that suited him!

Yesterday they arrived!

Now, he is not going to wear them straight away 'cos first of all the ferrets have got to inspect them and Holly and I have got to have a good sniff to make sure they haven't been in any sniffs we don't know about!

The pictures will follow!

Talking of pictures. How's this for a shot of the Sun?

Misty Morning Sun.
So you see, not every morning is all sun shine down here in North Kent!

Miss Snowflake decided she wanted to have a paddle this morning and set off to wash her paws in a rock pool.

I love a paddle, sometimes!
Mr Brambles was still hunting for the Big Wet Slimy Thing and after rubbing his butt on the sea weed we all decided that he was the Big Wet Slimy Thing!

Wet and Slimy? Wot Me?
Back home it was all down to the TV to watch the F1 racing, well, until Holly and I wanted a wee and an hour before the race was due to start, we bullied OTL into going out for a walk!

Down on the beach I wanted to go in for a swim but OTL had forgotten the Doggy Towel, so I only got a 'Deep Paddle'!

If I can't get wet I'll Show Off!
I must admit I did show off a bit  and even went in search of some sticks for OTL to throw but all I found was sea weed!

OTL set off in pursuit of a strange looking bee, after looking in the 'Insect Book' we can't decide what it is.

It could be a Wool Carder Bee but then on the other hand it may be a Shrill Carder Bee and then again, it could be something else!

Shrill or Wool Carder Bee?
OTL thinks it is a Shrill Carder but the silver hair instead of brown hair is throwing him. Holly said it could be because the bee was old as it was coming to the end of the summer and bees normally don't last more than a year!

A right little ornithologist she is!

Tomorrow the ferrets plan to investigate the New Boots, so watch out for the pictures!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

OTL gets New Boots and we have a lazy Saturday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles back again!

Yahoo! The weekend is here!

Now most weekends we either have visitors or The Missus is doing her 'Master Class' or there's a 'Local Crop' which as far as we can make out, it's all Gas and Glitter!

Well, today it was Master Class and that means a super lazy day with our feet up in the air and snoozing on the sofa!

When we were out this morning the tide hadn't arrived yet so Miss Snowflake decided she would have a go at hunting again and the top of the list was the 'Wet & Slimy Monster Thing'!

Both ferrets were in and out of the sea weed and at one time Mr Brambles disappeared all together under the sea weed!

OK, I know it's around here some where!
Holly and I left them to it and went off investigating sniffs and smelly things on the beach!

Here! Get a load of this sniff!
Back home, Old Two Legs spent some time giving the ferrets cage a Spring Clean, even though it's getting into Autumn!

The ferrets thought it was great and while OTL was busy, they had a super rampage around the house!

Miss Snowflake ended up behind the furniture down stairs and OTL had to get her back out, with the help of a squeaky toy, before she fell asleep in a warm corner!

Mr Brambles was more interested in the food bowl and spent most of the time taking bits out of the bowl and stashing them in all the corners of the office!

Lunchtime, the tide was well out, so no swimming but OTL found some seed heads and decided to take a Fuzzy Shot, which we said it wasn't so much Soft Focus more like Shaky Hand!

Fuzzy Flowers
Holly and I kept up laughing at him and said that his eyes were fuzzy as well as the photos.

As we were walking away he took our picture and called the picture 'Fuzzy Butts'!

As if!

Two Fuzz Butts!
Ox Heart tonight and back on the sofa for a snooze while OTL enjoys some shortbread and The Missus is hard at work dreaming up some designs using 'Brusho Paints', seems like this is the latest 'In Thing' and she is going potty with them!

So, that's our evening planned!

Now, we heard that Archie Babe managed a roll in some super smellies!

Good on you lad!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Frantic Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, have we had some excitement today!

First of all, when we got down to the beach this morning the tide was right in. What could a girl do? That's it, straight in for a paddle that developed into a full blown splash around chasing a tennis ball!

There was a little problem, you see, I'm just a little dog with a sweet little mouth and it just will not open up wide enough to grab a tennis ball!

A Red Rubber Bone, yes, a tennis ball, No!

Not that I wouldn't try!

That's what I did this morning, I kept of going out to it and trying to grab it and every time I made a grab, the ball went under the water and out of reach!

Come here you oversize ball!
I kept on going after it and it kept on going further out and I kept chasing it. In the end Old Two Legs had to call me in and tell me not to do any more swimming!

To be honest, I was about to give up anyway!

Mr Brambles was getting all excited watching me paddling out and back and out again. He was running up and down the shore line shouting out encouraging ferret things like 'Use Your Claws!'

Trouble is, my claws are not so sharp and pointy like wot a ferrets claw is!

Use Your Claws Woofer!
In the end, I had to give up and all I had to look forward to was a good rub down with a towel when I got back to the car!

After getting home, OTL packed up his tools and we all headed off to Auntie Zoe to help install a new washing machine and a new cooker. Most of the time Holly and I were trying to keep out of the way of three little Two Legs, Megan, Finley and Ethan who were so noisy that at times I got worried and had to jump onto OTL's lap for a cuddle!

It was a long journey home, loads of cars all trying to get along the same bit of road. Holly and I had fun poking our tongues out at the drivers next to us and some even laughed!

OK, we're off to see what is for dinner, bet you it's doggy scoff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

In Trubble Again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here with you again!

Poor Old Two Legs is crying again, he has just sent off a deposit on a new heating system for the house! Not that the present system doesn't work, it's just that he has taken a look at the pipes and stuff and he reckons it is 'Past it's Use By Date'!

So, first thing is the heating and then the ceiling replacement and then the decorating.

After that, he says he is going to have to look for a job to get some money to pay for it all! He has also said that unless we behave ourselves, he will sell us to 'Scrap Metal Man' and that includes the ferrets and The Missus as well!

Not that we believe him, TM wouldn't let him sell us!

Would she?

Holly says that just to be on the safe side, she is going to not take up so much of the bed or sofa when OTL is around, and she is not going to ignore him when he calls her when we're out walking, even if the sniff or rabbit is a 'Brilliant Find'!

We headed off to the beach and had a good laugh on the way down there as one of the ferrets was telling a story about chasing rabbits around the garden and falling in the pond!

Then we were off, Holly and I headed off in front while the ferrets stopped for a wee. Holly and I found a good sniff and were giving it some nose when we heard OTL calling us!

Is that him calling?..................Nah! Can't hear a thing!
Miss Snowflake sometimes gets embarrassed doing a wee on the path and she goes under the grass until she has finished.

Just like me!

No peeking!
Down on the beach we all had some fun, Holly and I gathered up some sniffs, Mr Brambles dug a hole or two and Miss Snowflake went back in the bag when OTL was untangling the leads!

.............are you sure that's not OTL calling?
The ferrets were full of fun and chased me up the hill not letting me stop for a sniff at all!

I ended up on the seat where they couldn't get to me!

Nah, Nah, Nah! Can't get me up here!
We went out delivering stuff this afternoon and stopped off at the Riverside Park. Holly sort of forgot everything about being kind to OTL and whenever he called her, she didn't even turn around!

Oh No, Now he's calling again, just keep going!
We went right up the end of the path and ended up at Horrid Hill. OTL said that it would be fun to photograph the sign board!

Now, you don't see that every day!
Of course, while OTL was taking the photo, he called out for Holly to 'Come Here' 'cos he was worried she might wander off into the mud.

She didn't come back and instead went off to exchange sniffs with a Staffy who was out with his family.

In the end OTL got fed up with calling us.

No! It's not my fault, it's Yours!
Well, that was it, we were in trouble again and it's all that Holly's fault, well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Misty Mornings and a Sunny Day

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

Wot a super day today, the morning was misty and there was dew on all the grasses, which means the ferrets got as wet as us woofers and we all had a good towelling when we got back to the car!

Down on the beach, the sun was up but there was a load of mist over the sea but the sun shining through made a pretty picture!

Misty Sheerness Morning!
We all had a super time running up and down the beach and I even went in for a 'Deep Paddle', just to test the water!

Shall I or Shan't I?
In the end I decided not to go swimming, you see Old Two Legs didn't have my rubber bone with him and it's just not the same!

We met up with Oscar, he is the one who fancies a 'Ferret and Mushroom Breakfast'!

OTL had both ferrets up in his arms, so Oscar was out of luck today!

We got a good bowl full of chicken today, just chicken, no rice!

The Missus doesn't read my diary or she would have added some rice and broth, just like Archie Babe gets!

Lunchtime, the tide had gone back out, so no chance of a swim or even a paddle in the mud!

Mind you, there were a few Black Headed Gulls paddling in the mud looking for worms and the such like.

I know you're there, just come on out, NOW!
Holly and I sat there for a while watching his antics trying to get the worms out. After a while Holly said that she would have to be really starving before she contemplated eating worms for dinner!

Not for me Sis!
There are times when Holly Dog can be very profound!

We were walking back, looking for rabbits, when we heard this terrible barking going on behind us and a couple of Woofers were heading our way!

The big Alsatian had a stick in her mouth and headed straight for OTL, just to get a tickle, Tart!

The little one was giving it some 'Serious Woofing', but after a few seconds was all over OTL as well!

Holly says that it is always the little ones that got the biggest mouth.

I was going to suggest that her mouth was rather large when it came to the woofing bit, but I decided that now was not the best time to loose Holly's 'Back Up', just in case these two decided to get into a woofing contest with us!

OK, we heard you, now Woof Off!
Back home for some snoozing and pinch some of the Ferret Nibbles, just to keep the 'Hair Balls' away!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Back to Normal Again!

Hi Woofers!

Us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

Well, yesterday I wasn't too happy, what with my bad leg and generally missing out on sniffs!

I spent most of the time curled up on Old Two Legs lap or in my bed, wrapped up in one of the ferrets blankets and feeling sorry for myself!

By the evening I was feeling much better, the pain had gone and I was jumping up and down off the sofa chasing Holly around for a nibble of her carrot!

This morning was fun, Holly showed me all the sniffs I missed yesterday and I found a couple of others as well!

Snowflake was doing her 'Beach Shark' impersonation, which had us all laughing our tails off!

Beach Shark!
Back home we all enjoyed a mornings snoozing and chewing on some rawhide chews!

Well, in fact, we were chewing on Hollies chew, you see she had been giving it a good chew last night and it had got to the point where the seriously tasty bit was in the middle when The Missus took it away from her.

TM doesn't like us eating chews on the bed when TM is trying to get to sleep!

During the morning I had found it and was giving it a good chew while Holly was on the floor, close up to me, trying the old intimidation trick.

That doesn't work on me and I kept it until I had a needed a rest. Holly all this time was grumbling under her breath and making such a noise that OTL cut the chew in half, gave us both half each and told Holly not to show off so much!

It didn't work really 'cos I went over to her and sat there giving her the old 'Hairy Eyeball' and put her off the chew all together!

I don't care if OTL gave it to you, I WANT IT BACK!
We both sat there for an hour before OTL got fed up and said the magic word, WALKIES!

Lunchtime we were off again to the beach and today the tide was well out, OTL said it wouldn't come in until six tonight and we decided not to wait!

Instead we  went off investigating sniffs!

Sharing a sniff with Sis!
Out on the mud there were loads of birds digging the worms and crustaceans for lunch. We recon they were nearly all Godwits, loads and loads there were!

Loads of Godwits!
A bit closer to the beach Mrs Corvid was having a paddle in the rock pools looking for a tasty morsel!

Seen any good whelks?
Holly and I jumped up on the table to try to count the Godwits but we had to give up in the end as our eyes kept on going wobbly!

Up in the air!
We headed for home and Holly rushed in to grab the rawhide chew she left on the coffee table, any one would think I would try to pinch it!

As if!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

I Hurt a Little Bit!

Hi Woofers!

We're back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

This morning when Old Two Legs got up there was a fine 'Red Sky' shining through the office window and Miss Snowflake was looking out of the window muttering one of her 'Ferret Sayings'

'Red Sky in the morning, Ferret take Warning'!

I said it looked pretty but Snowflake says that it is a sign of a change in the weather, and it could be for the worse!

A Happy little Soul she is first thing in the morning!

OTL said that if the weather was going to change we had better be out on our walk PDQ!

PDQ? That means Puppy Dog Quick!

When we arrived the Red Sky had gone but on the beach were loads of sea gulls, of course, we got the normal question from Holly!

You know, 'Do you think they taste like chicken?'

Breakfast?
We met up with Max, Oscar and Bryn who were having a break while their owners we sitting down having a chat.

Mr Brambles was winding them all up by calling out 'I'm a little ferret and you can't see me!'

What he was doing was staying close to the wall so the woofers had to lean right over if they wanted to see him, of course, none of them were brave enough to lean over in case they fell off the wall!

Can't See Me!
Miss Snowflake was having fun with a lump of wood she found on the beach. She said it would make a super surf board and as soon as she could stop it from wobbling, she would try it in the sea!

Yeah Right!

It's just a little wobbly at the moment!
Holly and I managed to kick up a couple of rabbits and we played 'Chase' for a while, with me doing most of the work!

The only problem was, I must have twisted my leg or pulled a muscle 'cos when I got back home it was hurting so much that I just curled up in a ball and went to sleep. Normally after a good snooze it is all back to normal. OTL says that it could be Lactic Acid buildup in my muscles, I don't know, all I know is it stops me running about!

Lunch time came and I had been snoozing under OTL's desk for most of the morning and when he mentioned 'Walkies' I thought, No I'll pass on it this time!

Off went OTL and Holly but as Holly says, 'OTL is OK, but you can't share a sniff with him like you can your sister!'

Daisy would have loved this one!
You know, Holly didn't even feel like sniffing the muddy bits either!

It's a bit lonely out on the Sea Wall
She said she kept on looking back, expecting to see me come bounding over the hill towards her but I just wasn't around!

She even stood up on one of the seats and woofed, just in case I was lost in the bushes!

It's nice to be missed!
I can't see her from here either!
When she came back, OTL had to give her a wash 'cos she had the 'Grubby Butt' and afterwards she tried to get me to have a game but I just didn't feel like a game and instead I climbed up into OTL's arms and he took me back to the cushion under the desk.

I should be OK by tomorrow, and them rabbits better had watch out then!

Maybe I aught to suggest to The Missus that she cooks me some rice and chicken like wot Archie Babe had, well it seems to have worked on him 'cos he is better. Well done Archie Babe!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.

A Super Sunday.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles here!

We love Sundays, Old Two Legs doesn't turn on the 'Work Computer' and we more attention!

Mine you, we still have to compete with the ferrets for his attention but in the end we all get a share of OTL!

First of all he has to get the ferret cage sorted out and food bowl re-filled! Much to Mr Brambles delight, he is always first into the food bowl!

Miss Snowflake gets fed a bit later and occupies her time rampaging around the bedroom and The Missus's Store Room!

We head off for our morning walk and both ferrets go into 'Snooze Mode' in the travelling cage and are still a bit dopey when OTL puts them in the ferret bag! We get down to the beach and have a run around. If the ferrets haven't got out of the bag for a wee before hand, they get out of the bag, with a bit of help from OTL, and wander around for a wee.

Then, Miss Snowflake tries to get back into the bag again!

Come on, let me back, just for a couple of minutes!
Back home we all have a game of 'Chase The Woofer', well the ferrets do! Holly and I have a trick or two ourselves, Holly stays down stairs on the sofa while I get up onto the bed and watch the ferrets trying to climb up the bed side!

Pretty soon they head off to their cage for a snooze that lasts all day, except for a wee or a poo during the day!

Lunchtime we head off to have our walk and just for fun, we try a bit of Rabbit Hunting!

We're looking for Rabbits!
Because it is Sunday, there are loads of Two Legs wandering about, so, the rabbits stay hidden in their holes and spend the day snoozing!

Today I spotted OTL putting the Red Bone in his pocket, Great, that means I can go swimming and play at Fetch The Bone!

Today, when we get down there, the tide is still well out and it would be another hour before it arrives at the shore!

Now this was not fair, I was so looking forward to a swim. You know, I rushed up and down the beach calling the water to Hurry Up but it didn't rush in any faster!

Then I had an idea, how about I go for a splash about in the mud!

I ran the idea past OTL who didn't think much of it and promised that if I got muddy, it would be the Hose Pipe for me!

Aw come on OTL, just a little paddle in the mud?
Well, needless to say, I didn't get into the mud but instead headed for home where I know a big bowl of chicken is waiting for me!

Tomorrow we have a number of workmen arriving to give OTL and 'Estimate' for repairing the hole in the ceiling and also install another heating system!

We're going to be warm this winter!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake and Mr Brambles.
