Wot A Grey Day!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April!

Well, it is Saturday again, so that means that The Missus pinches the car and goes off to her 'Master Class' to slap the glue about again!

That also means she is out early and pinches the little car to take all her stuff up the hall and that means we have to make a choice, do we walk up to the Village Hall and collect the car or do we say 'Stuff It' and get in the big car and do it in style?

'Stuff It' we all said and headed off to the beach in the big car!

Miss Snowflake was interested in the 'Half Boat' and reckons she found that it has a sort of Anchor that is preventing it from drifting off!

Well it looks like an anchor!
Then after that she headed off to do some sniffing and found what she described as a 'Super Ferret Sniff!

Like me, she just loves a roll and unlike me, she gets away with it!

This is how it's done!
We met up with The Lads out on their morning run and Young Poppy went up to Old Two Legs and tried to swap her mate, Boo, for Miss Snowflake!

Come on, I'll do you a swap for Snowflake?
Snowflake heard what was being proposed and decided that the best thing to do was to get to the vet early!

I'm Off, Vets appointment, Sorry!

It was the truth, but we were half an hour early!

Holly and I stayed in the car while OTL and Snowflake headed in and poor Snowflake got stabbed twice and OTL says his wallet got stung as well!

Still it could be worse but tomorrow we are not going to the vets 'cos Snowflake got a 'Double Dose' of antibiotic and another anti inflammatory jab, so she will be OK until Monday at eleven when she is due to see the vet again.

Back home it was Snoozy Time  while OTL cleaned out the cages and then sat down to watch the F1 Practise. Well, that's what he thought he was going to do but instead we decided that we wanted our Lunchtime Walk!

Trouble was, it was raining, not hard but enough to get too wet!

As we had made such a fuss and the ferrets were all dressed up in their harnesses, so we couldn't really back out!

OTL has taken the big camera out and already he has found the B&W button and of course, the first to get their picture taken is me!

and I got Wetter and Soggier as we headed home!
The ferrets didn't mind the rain and they found the sniff that Snowflake was rolling in this morning.

Yes! They even stopped for a roll themselves!

How do they get away with it?

Snowflakes been here!
We didn't hang about too long 'cos Holly and I didn't want to get too wet, so it was back to the car A.S.A.P!

I don't care if you are related to Otters, get a move on!
Back home we all got dried and snuggled down for a snooze. Snowflake wanted to come out for a run around the office, so I was sent out!

OTL had to give her a wash 'cos she had not been able to get to the Poo Pot quick enough and had wee all down her leg. We are hoping that the antibiotic stuff will clear up any infection that she might have and she gets better soon. We will get a better idea when she visits the vet again on Monday. Claws crossed!

F1 Racing tomorrow, so we may have to have our lunchtime walk a little earlier!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.

A Monochromatic Day!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.

Well, he is at it again!

Old Two Legs is trying to get all 'Arty' with his photos and has dug out the Yellow Filter, switched the camera controls over to Black & White and started up the Computer Program for processing B&W!

So, here is the first!

Old Sheerness!
When The Missus saw this she said she preferred colour to B&W but if you took a colour of the same scene it would be almost all B&W!

Holly and I had more important things to do, like suggest that the 'Half Boat' packs up it's gunwales and clear off!

are you Still Here?
Miss April suggested we dig a trench in front of the Half Boat and run it all the way down to the sea, then when the tide comes in it will fall back into the sea and go somewhere else!

We could start here!
We didn't think it was a good idea 'cos it was full of stones and rocks and stuff!

Holly and I headed off and Miss May followed to see if we found any good sniffs!

Sniffed that one yesterday!
When we got home, OTL had found Miss Snowflake had got 'Caught Short' and missed the Poo Pot all together, which is most unlike her. So, after clearing everything up he made a call to the vets and got an appointment for nine fifty, just twenty minutes away!

So off they went, Holly and I stayed at home, we're not daft!

OTL thought that Snowflake might have got an infection but her temperature was all OK, she did a wee on the inspection table and that was pronounced as 'Normal'!

The vet and OTL just couldn't decide if there was anything wrong and if it was, then just where it was wrong!

In the end they decided to put her on a course of antibiotics and also give her an 'anti inflammatory' injection as well, just in case!

If you remember before she was given a course of antibiotics that was supposed to be taken through her mouth but as soon as it was squirted down her throat, she spat it back out all over the vet!

So, for the next five days she has an appointment with the vet to get stabbed with a needle!

Back home she spent most of the day sleeping, except late afternoon when she got up for a little rampage, that was until she found Holly's new bed and said it was the most comfortable bed she had ever rested on, and immediately fell asleep!

I Love this Woofer Bed!
So, leaving her to snooze we took the Page 3 Girls out again for a second rampage on the beach.

April decided to dig her own hole under the boat so it would float away.

I'll dig my own hole to get rid of the boat!
Mind you, in the end she got fed up and joined me sniffing for new sniffs!

That camera clicking sound can really put you off you know!
Back home I got a full wash down with soap and water, you see I had found this really super stinky sniff and just had to have a roll!

I got washed, scrubbed, rinsed and wrung out too dry!

But was a really good sniff!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.

Polly is in the Poo!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April here!

We have been hearing that there is a storm heading towards the UK today but it will stay up north in the North West of Scotland! Which is just as well 'cos we don't want the storm down here, just imagine it, the wind blowing all the sea into big waves and crashing on the beach and there he is, Old Two Legs, trying to get a photograph!

It was bad enough his telephone making a 'Bing Bong' sound as he got an SMS saying that the  Lochaline to Fishnish ferry is on an 'Amber Alert' due to the high winds and may be cancelled!

Yeah, like we are heading for the Isle of Mull today??????!

Mind you, the sky was a bit dark this morning as we headed towards the Beach!

No Storms Thank You!
We met up with the Lads and young Polly on the way and she couldn't wait to say hello to Snowflake who she has fallen in love with!

Hello Miss Snowflake!
On the beach it was good to see that the 'Plank' had sailed off into the distance and not returned. Miss Snowflake did her normal 'Ferreting' in and under the sea weed. Then she scampered up the beach and stopped, 'I Sniff Woofers' she said, which we thought was daft 'cos Holly and I are Woofers and she was sniffing us!

'No, you Daft Doggies' she said, 'I can sniff 'Other Doggies'!

I Sniff Doggies!
We couldn't see any woofers, so we headed up to the grass path and half way up the path Young Polly appeared at the top!

Well, we had to take at least two looks to make sure!

She was covered in Medway Mud from the river!

It was amazing 'cos we have never seen her all mucky like that before. She has always been a very well kept and clean woofer, always well brushed and looking neat and tidy!

Wow! You look great!
It didn't take long for the others to arrive and it seems that it was Bryn who had been leading them all astray, but he only got his paws muddy, Polly was covered!

You know, she even had the cheek to ask OTL for a cuddle but before he could say anything, Polly got put on a lead and marched off down the path and off to home for a bath!

Wot About a Cuddle?
Holly said that if it was warmer sh might have gone for a paddle in the mud!

Yeah, Right, Old Scary Knickers in the wet, that will be the day!

Back home OTL has been worrying about Miss Snowflake 'cos she has been forgetting where she left her Poo Pots! Which is most unlike Snowflake who has always been a clean and tidy little ferret. Mind you, she is eating well and her poo is a 'Healthy Poo' as OTL says, it's just she has sort of 'Missed' the poo pot!

She is getting near to her birthday and OTL says that she could be anywhere between five and six years old. She is still full of fun and loves to play games and have a cuddle with OTL and she still climbs up onto his shoulders to lick his ear! So, we are keeping our claws crossed that it is just that she is getting old and she isn't so fast on her paws between bed and poo pot!

Lunchtime we woke the Page 3 Girls up and headed off to beach again.

This time OTL had swapped his lens over to the one with a Yellow Filter!

Scary clouds over Sheerness.
While OTL was snapping away, we all had a game on the sand 'cos the tide was right in and it had even covered the rocks!

Miss May, being deprived of a rock to wee on decided to wee on the beach instead and do it before the wave reached her!

She loves living dangerously!

It can't catch me!

April had fun sniffing around the 'Half a Boat' and even had a go at digging a hole but she wasn't going anywhere near the waters edge, another Woofer who doesn't 'do wet stuff'!

You won't catch me down there!
Holly, who is getting over the 'Grumbly Tum' was developing a 'Short Attention Span' and after having a sniff, decided to flop down to wait for the ferrets.

Why do they take so long over a sniff?
We have been told about a Two Legs who, in the early hours of the morning, decided to mow their lawn in the front of the house. Being very dark at that time in the morning, this TL decided that
getting all dressed up just to mow the grass was a waste of time, so, with a wide brimmed hat and still wearing her Jim Jams, she set about mowing the lawn and scaring everyone who looked out of their windows wondering who was making so much noise at that time in the morning!

It's a good job that OTL doesn't get ideas like that, he doesn't wear Jim Jams, scary or wot!

We're off to do some mugging now, watch out for the grass cutter in a big hat!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.

Snowflake gets her own back!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April back again!

It's been a fun day today. We have been keeping Old Two Legs on the run almost all day! First of all we woke him up at four thirty this morning 'cos we thought there was a fox sniffing around the caravan, only it wasn't, it was a cat and he legged it as soon as Holly and I started barking!

Mind you, OTL started to bark at us, so we couldn't really give the cat our full 'Woof Off' treatment!

The Page 3 Girls were having fun, Miss May was kicking the Poo Pot around the cage and Miss April was throwing her stainless steel milk bowl from the top shelf in the cage, right to the bottom and managing to hit every shelf on the way down!

Talk about noisy!

This all means we were late in getting out walk 'cos OTL had to clear up all the ferret Poo Tray contents before we could go out!

That also means that Snowflake had to stay in her house while May and April went on the rampage around the office!

May decided to torment Snowflake who got all upset and did a poo where she never normally poos, on one of the shelves!

Snowflake was not a 'Happy Ferret'!

Down on the Beach Holly said she didn't feel like a run around on account of her 'Grumbly Tum', so she sat on the beach and 'Watched the Morning'!

Jus' Watching The Morning Go By!
Both of the ferrets spent their time sniffing in the grass and hunting slugs!

Because we were 'Late on Parade' we met up with Barney who we hadn't seen for ages, so while OTL was gassing away, we caught up on the news. It seems that Barney has been banned from taking his ball out with him on the morning walk 'cos he has been loosing too many! I mean, what a thing to do to a woofer, deprive him of his ball!

A Stroke is OK but I'd rather chase my ball!
Back home we had a bowl of chicken waiting for us, so once again it was Nose Down and Tail Up until it had all gone, then off up to bed for a snooze.

Now, because of the Page 3 Girls making such a mess of their house, OTL had to let them go on a rampage around the house but that upset Snowflake who wanted to get out for a run as well!

So, OTL shut the office door and let Snowflake out for a small rampage in the office.

It took some time to get it all sorted but in the end it was nice and tidy and ready for the Girls.

Well, almost!

OTL put Snowflake back in her house before opening the office door to let the girls in but lucky for him, they were still down stairs hiding doggy biscuits behind the book case!

As OTL stood up in the office, he noticed something on the floor, just in front of the door where the ferrets come in, it was a soggy pile of poo and wee!

Snowflake had left her 'Calling Card'!

OTL said that was what is called an 'Insult'!

Luckily, OTL cleared it up before the Girls got back!

Miss Snowflake went off to sleep for a while but she woke up at eleven thirty and started to rattle the cage door, she wanted to get out for the midday walk! Now normally we have to wake her up but today she was up and ready for a run!

When we got down there she was straight into the grass, ferreting about hunting slugs and mouses!

I can do Cute as well!
We spotted the plank of wood that has been resting next to the 'Half Boat', slowly drifting past and heading out to sea! It looks like the high tide has picked it up and given it a shove down stream, now, the next thing to go is the 'Half Boat' if it wakes up in time to catch the tide!

Bye Bye Plank!
OTL said that he was considering fitting the Yellow Filter to his lens and switching over to Black & White for a while 'cos the sun has been shining through the clouds and giving some great sun beams and the clouds are beginning to break up into smaller clouds which make it good for a Yellow Filter!

Where is a Yellow Filter when you need it!
Snowflake was all interested in what Holly and I were sniffing even though they were 'Doggy Sniffs'. She said that Doggy Sniffs were rather strong and he nose was tuned to smaller sniffs like the wee of a vole!

She also said that the Kestrel bird can see the ultraviolet reflection of vole wee and uses that to locate where they are!

Gawd! Wee that glows in the sun shine, whatever next?
Snowflake has been awake for most of the day today, banging on her cage door to be let out and generally behaving 'Un Ferret Like' according to OTL. She has been cuddly, then she wants to explore everywhere and then she sneaks off to bed for ten minutes or so before waking up again and rattling the cage door again!

She has eaten her ferret food plus her normal 'Treats', so there is nothing strange there but it's this need to go on the 'Rampage'!

Maybe it has something to do with the time of year and she want to make the most of the daylight and the lights in the office keep her awake!

Mind you, the other two have been snoring for England!

Let's see what tomorrow brings!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.

We saw the Sun!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April back with you again!

Now, you know how dull it has been over the last few days? I mean, like cloudy and grey and no sun and rain and a chilly wind under your tail?

Well, today Old Two Legs said he spotted the sun smiling down on us from above Sheerness!

The only thing was, us woofers didn't see it!

Like, we saw a bright patch above some clouds but not actually see the sun. OTL was insisting that he could see the sun and to prove it, he took a picture and said he would show us when we got home!

Hello Mr Sun?
Holly reckons he is 'Pulling Our Tails' on this one and he has been 'Fiddling' with the computer again!

Down on the beach I was digging a super big hole when April jumped in and started to have a dig as well! Then she decided to go sniffing around the rim to see who else had been digging. So, while she was doing that, I crept up behind her and had a sniff! She said that all Ferrets, like Skunks, have a gland under their tails that if they got scared, they could let go with a stink that would knock you out and if I didn't remove my nose, she would introduce me to a Ferret Fart!

Nuff Said!

Stand still, it's just a Doggy Thing!
The ferrets like the beach but they really love it when we get to the Grass Path 'cos they can dive into the long grass and chase through the tunnels that have been made by the mouses and voles and Weasels!

It's a Vole Hole, not a Mouse Hole!
May was most interested in the Rabbit sniffs Holly and I found on the path, we reckon they were last nights wees!

Funny how it always sniffs of grass!
Back home we had some Lambs Heart waiting for us, so it was 'Nose Down and Tail Up' until we had finished it then off to bed for a snooze until lunch time!

All of us were snoozing, well, the ferrets and Holly and me, OTL was plonking away on his computer!

All of a sudden it was walkies time and Miss Snowflake was fast asleep, in fact, she was so sleepy that she didn't even know that OTL had dressed her in her harness and put her in the travelling cage!

When we got down to the car park she was still asleep and snuggled up in OTL's arm and hand and mumbled some thing about 'Wake me up when we get there!'

Shhhhh! Ferret Snoozing!
Down on the beach I got back into the hole and shovelled out some more sand while Young Holly Dog enjoyed a good roll in some thing that sniffed of crab!

This is the Life!
We all headed back towards the car and came across a woofer who was not feeling himself. You see he got really scared when those Bozo TL's let off all the Whizz Bangs and he hasn't recovered yet. He was getting very nervous about walking along with some one behind him, especially two woofers and a ferret!

Holly and me and Snowflake walked past him and he then followed. After a while he could see where he had to go along the path and knew he was getting near to home, so, he passed us and trotted off but you could see he wasn't the happiest Woofer in the Park!

If only those Bozos would go and set fire to their Whizz Bangs somewhere else, far away!
Back home Snowflake finished off her treats and headed back to bed while Holly and I watched the birds in the back garden. Now that the Winter is getting close they are all in our back garden getting as fat as they can before the bad weather sets in!

Holly and I don't have that problem and neither do the ferrets, they just get fat 'cos it is what they do naturally after eating too many treats!

When the Ferret Show on the 21st Nov arrives we should see them finished their moult and be all plump and cuddly, just like OTL!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.

Fun Day Monday and Holly gets Kissed!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April here!

Well, Sunday night went off with just a couple of Whizz Bangs and Holly cuddled up to Old Two Legs and felt safe enough not to go to bed!

This morning there was a super sunrise, well, so OTL tells us 'cos we were still in bed when he got up to say 'Good Morning' to the ferret family!

By the time we got down to the sea front the deep yellow had sort of faded into the clouds as the sun got higher in the sky.

Still a little bit of yellow!
Now, yesterday you know that OTL got all the ferret bedding and stuff washed and part dried? He also put their 'Ferret Bag' in for a wash as well. For that he had to take off all the shoulder straps and also the Ferret Leads. That was OK but this morning when he gathered up the Page 3 Girls, he forgot the leads!

He didn't notice until we pulled up in the car park. We were worried in case the ferrets had to stay in the car while we had our walk but OTL had an idea!

We were let out on our own, as usual. That is Holly and me, not the ferrets!

Then OTL clipped our doggy lead and yoke onto the ferrets harnesses!

Clever or wot?

This is a bit of an 'Over Kill'!
Still, between the pair of them they managed to carry it all the way back to the car!

Holly and I got a surprise, just as we got to the Sea Wall who should come bounding along at the speed of light? Barney No. 2!

YO! OTL!
Now it's not often he is let off his lead 'cos he likes to run all over the place but he has been getting better and every time he sees OTL he always makes a big fuss!

Hello Girls!
After Barney No. 2 had left us, we were investigating the sniffs on the beach when who should arrive? Miss Polly!

Now, you know she just loves OTL and is absolutely besotted with the ferrets as well! In fact it is so bad that she has to be put on her lead or she would stay with us all day!

My Favourite Ferrets!
She started off by saying 'Hello' to OTL then lay down to watch the ferrets as they investigated the 'Half Boat'.

Of course she wasn't allowed onto the beach or she would never leave the ferrets, but at least she could have a chat from the Sea Wall!

You ferrets have got lovely bushy tails!
When it was time for her to go, she had to be picked up and carried off or she would have stayed with us all day!

As we got close to the car, Holly noticed the Beddlington Terrier coming along the path. Holly is just a big Tart where he and his mate Bert are concerned and she jumps and dances around, almost out of reach and teases the tails off the pair of them!

Today she got a little too close, and ended up with a kiss from the Beddlington Terrier!

A Smacker for Holly!
Holly said she is never going to wash her face again!

As I said, TART!

Lunchtime came and Miss Snowflake said she would come for a walk with us but only as long as she had her proper lead!

She is so fussy sometimes!

When she got to the beach the first thing she did was to climb all over the sea weed until she found a good place to wee!

That was Good!
Then it was off to the Grass Path to go ferreting about in the long grass picking up all the new sniffs and running through the holes in the grass that the mouses make!

That was fun!
As normal with ferrets, they take such a long time over sniffs, extracting the very last bit of sniff from each one they find. Of course, us woofers are a lot faster that they are and it's not 'cos we got bigger noses!

In the end, Holly and I get fed up calling her and started to walk off, it was then that Snowflake comes rushing up behind us saying 'Slow Down'!

What's the rush you two?
Before we went home, we dropped into the carriers to post off a parcel for export to Germany, wherever that is!

Then back home to an afternoon snooze while OTL was playing on the computer!

Not sure what is for mugging tonight but it can't be worse than the Doggy Scoff The Missus served up this morning, I mean, YUK! just doesn't describe it fully!

See you tomorrow and no more Whizz Bangs!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.

The Day After!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April here and we survived!

Holly got us all up in bed and cuddled up and the Firework Party started up, it sounded like they were starting a war! Bangs, Whizzing and Whoosh's went on for hours!

Well, it seemed like hours!

We were all cuddled up and Holly was snuggled under Old Two Legs arm and right against his side and although the noise was terrible, she wasn't shaking like she normally does!

And lindajayne , Holly has never done Work Experience, she says it all come naturally!

OTL got a Pizza last night so we both got some of those Salami slices off the top!

We went to bed early but as it is Sunday, we managed an extra hour in bed!

Today we took Miss May and Miss April down to the beach instead of Snowflake, mainly because Snowflake wanted to stay in bed, lazy ferret!

Down on the beach April found a Whizz Bang that had gone off last night and was left on the sand.

Hey! There's a Whizz Bang here!
Holly told her to 'Leave it Alone' 'cos you never know if it has got any Whizz or even Bang left in it!

The tide was in and that means the rocks and sea weed were covered, so both May and April decided to have a wee on the beach instead!

Well, I'll have my wee here!
There were loads of woofers all over the place this morning, OTL and Holly had to keep a careful watch in case any of them decided to play 'Chase the Ferret'!

Don't worry, I've got both eyes on them!
Back home OTL spent ages cleaning the ferret houses, and changing all the bedding and blankets and hanging hammocks!

Then it was up to The Missus to get them all washed. Which is OK but the drying is the problem, no sun and no balmy breezes to dry the stuff, so it is all hung on the metal rack and left on the landing to catch the hot air from the heating system.

TM reckons it will take a couple of days to fully dry it all.

It's a good job OTL has spare bedding for both houses!

Snowflake came out with us at lunchtime, just for a change it wasn't raining but it was dark and grey and quite dismal!

Not that it worried us 'cos Snowflake joined in a game of 'Chase' along the beach. It was then that we heard a load of barking, the sort that means two or more woofers were having a Big Disagreement'!

OK, my turn to chase you!
Snowflake couldn't see anything so Holly and I kept an eye open in case the woofing headed our way!

No, I don't see anything yet!
Snowflake didn't hang about and soon was well down the grass path and heading back to the car!

Mmmm, I sniff Weasel!
Back home we all settled down to a relaxing afternoon, except for OTL, he had some manufacturing for an 'Export Order' that came in to the office late on Friday.

You just can't do enough for a good customer!

Let's hope all the Whizz Bangs have finished and we can get back to a quiet evening!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Snowflake, Miss May and Miss April.
