It's been wet today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

After yesterdays terrible happenings we are getting back to normal, except for the howling draft around the tail end!

When we got down to the beach Holly spotted that the wind powered generators were all working!

We expect Old Two Legs to get his big camera out soon and he will try to get a picture of them going around and make it look like the blade are 'Bending' as they go around!

Just wait for the winter winds to blow!
We all had a sniff around the beach but didn't hang about too long, the wind felt rather chilly, especially around the back end!

This is a strange one!
Holly is still suffering from her 'Grumbly Tum' and today she didn't have to have her butt washed in public!

I feeling better but I've still lost my 'Mojo'!
Today OTL has been doing some house hold jobs that include mending the carpet where the ferrets have tried to dig holes in and under the carpet edge under the door.

Mind you, I will admit, Holly and I have also had a little 'dig' at the edges in the past!

Lunchtime it was still blowing and the rain was still in the air so we didn't hang about too much. The ferrets had decided that riding in the ferret bag was better than walking in the rain!

I've got over my Grumbly Tum but Holly is suffering still. Mind you, it may be a lesson to Holly not to eat any mucky stuff on the beach!

No more news on Rufus and we are still waiting for photos!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

It's Good News Day today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

Super, wonderful, brilliant and Great!

Rufus had his operation and the lump was removed! We got news last night that he had been pigging out on a bowl of chicken and was drinking as well! Good News eh?

We will be keeping an eye on his progress and what he gets up to!

Now it is a good news day for Rufus but Holly and I haven't been so lucky!

It started off with Holly having a 'Grumbly Tum' this morning and after a poo ended up with a 'Grubby Butt'! Now Old Two Legs said that he didn't want a Smelly Holly in the new car, so, when we got to the Sea Wall we noticed the tide was in.

Great! I was straight in for a splash about, OTL took the ferrets onto the sand for a dig and Holly sat on the sand looking unhappy!

With the sun glinting on the water it looks like I'm swimming with fairies!

..........and there's even some red sails in the sunrise!
OTL took the ferret bag off his shoulder and as the ferrets lead was attached to the bag they couldn't go anywhere. Not so Holly Chops, OTL called her to the waters edge, pushed her backwards into the water and proceeded to wash the poo off her butt!

Holly was not happy, the water was cold and when it ran down her back legs, it made her shiver!

I thought it was great fun 'cos I kept running past into the water and splashing her!

It wasn't long before her butt was clean and OTL gave his hands a good wash by scrubbing them with the wet sand and washing it all off in the water!

Clean at last!

On the way back to the car May found a dead Shrew on the path and was on it in double quick time!

She gave it a good shake and then chewed it's head off!

Yuk!

Mmmmm! Tasty or Wot!
I suppose it is a treat for a ferret to get a fresh shrew but I wouldn't fancy it my self!

She then left it by the side of the path and walked on!

From the Car Park it was straight down to the Poodle Parlour to see wot the new lady is like and wot sort of job she makes of the hair cut!

OTL says that the price has gone up and for the extra dosh she had better make a good job or he will have a go at doing it himself!

Both Holly and I have decided that we would rather the new lady does our hair cut rather than OTL!

Can you imagine what sort of job he would make of our hair? Just look at what he does to his!

Bald all over!

Lunchtime Fred and Wendy got to have a walk where all the rabbits play. Fred was keen to do a bit of digging but Wendy got a bit confused with all the new sniffs!

There are some strange sniffs here!
The clouds came over and it started to rain, so it was a 'Quick Dash' back to the car cos it was time to collect Holly and I, mind you, the clouds looked a bit dramatic and would have been great if OTL had brought his Yellow Filter!

Where is a Yellow Filter when you need one?
Well, I shouldn't have mentioned the word 'Bald' 'cos this new lady asked if we wanted it a little shorter For The Summer'?

Yus, says OTL and off we went into the back room where we get all washed and trimmed.

Well, we got 'The Treatment' alright, it was short back and sides, claws clipped and the shortest Brazilian I've ever seen!

I think I'm going to wait a few days before going in for a swim!

We have forbidden OTL to take any photos of us until we get a bit more coverage!

We are going to ask The Missus if she can get some 'Before and After' photos of Rufus, claws crossed!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

A strange day!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss April, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

It has been all rush and tear today! We were up early again, The Missus was up early again with another new idea!

Old Two Legs tried to get some extra sleep but Holly and I both gave his ear and bald head a good lick, that got him out of bed!

Down on the beach May and April were doing what they normally do, dig holes, while I sniffed around on the high tide mark, just to see if there are any strange sniffs lurking under the sea weed!

Holly was late getting onto the beach 'cos as she was finishing off a sniff on the path, who should arrive but that young Bozo called Marley!

It's my new mate Old Two Legs!
Well, we all know that OTL is Two Legs and Marley had better clear off and mind his own TL or he could end up with a telling off!

Then, just so he understood, when he got close to her, Holly gave one of the 'Gentle Warning Growls'.

It is one we save for puppies, it helps with their education. A Woofer has to learn just what is good manners and what is not!

Let that be a warning, he is OUR Two Legs!
We didn't hang about 'cos the old, little car was off to the garage for it's MOT.

OTL had been onto the garage that looks after the big car and they sent out an engineer to see if he could fix it by the road side. Poor lad had been given a load of duff information and after about three hours decided to give up and get the transporter to pick up the car and get it down to the garage, which is what OTL wanted to happen in the first place!

Then we had to pick up the little car with its brand new MOT certificate and get it home!

Holly and I decided to stay at home 'cos we had sniffed rain on the wind and didn't fancy getting wet!

Now, at the time of writing the blog we haven't heard anything about Rufus and his operation but we are keeping our claws crossed for good news. TM is supposed to get onto her Face Ache thingy and get updates but because of the running about with the cars hasn't been on yet.

That's it for us today, TM is off out this evening and we are going to sit on the sofa and chew Bonio Biscuits!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss April, Miss May, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Claws Crossed for Rufus.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret back again!

Have we had a good day today! We've been up the Kent County Show!

This morning first thing, we were down the beach a bit earlier than normal!

We met up with Bert who really fancies Holly rotten!

Morning! Holly!
Holly told him about going to The Show but as Bert had never been there it was a bit difficult explaining wot it was all about. In the end I told him all about the sniffs and then he seemed to get the idea!

Before Holly could get down to the beach the Ladies and young Percy came along the Sea Wall and Holly had to explain all again!

OK, anyone been to the Kent County Show? No? Right then, there is this place full of sniffs...........
While Holly was telling her tale I was keeping an eye open for any passing ships!

I spotted a Container Ship heading off to Hamburg to drop off a few containers and pick up some new ones!

Hamburg here we come!
It wasn't long before we set off for a day of sniffin some of the best sniffs in the county!

Old Two Legs didn't bring his camera so you will miss out on some of the views!

We stopped off at the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue stand where they were racing ferrets and telling everyone about the life of ferrets.

As we know all about ferrets it was rather boring, so Holly and I got into a corner and had a snooze while The Missus had a cuddle with one of the baby ferrets and asked if we could take a couple home with us!

OTL said that we didn't have the room for another 'Group', so TM showed off!

The ladies at the Allhallows Croppers held a Cardy Thong Thingy and through their efforts raised funds for Demelza House and the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue. Well, while we were there we were told about a ferret called Rufus who was handed in the the rescue a couple of days ago. He had a big lump where his tummy should be and he was rushed off to the vet who drained a lot of fluid. Then he was booked in for an operation to find out what the lump was all about. Now, this sort of treatment costs money and it was decided that the donation from the Allhallows Croppers would be used to finance the cost of his treatment!

TM will be putting pictures and a progress report on her FaceAche page so you can follow the story.

Claws crossed for Rufus!

Claws crossed for Archie Babes mum who went home with a car with a cough! Let's hope it was nothing serious! At least she got home, our car refuses to even start!

We are off for a snooze now 'cos all that walking around sniffing has made us both very tired!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.

Not a Good Day for OTL!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret back here again!

It has been rather warm today, in fact a big muggy, which means rain later!

We didn't see any rain, so, it may arrive tomorrow!

Up good and early this morning and after The Missus headed off to her Master Class, we headed off to the beach!

We met up with Barney the Pointer who we hadn't seen for ages. He said that he didn't come out until nine nowadays but today his Two Legs were out so he got the 'early Morning Call'!

Down on the beach May and April had a good roll in the sand and sea weed!

I did miss this yesterday!
I found a super 'Rolling Sniff' and April wanted to use it once I had finished. Old Two Legs told me to 'Get Up' and as soon as I did April dived in!

Come on April, give this a go!
OTL was playing with the camera and trying some 'Macro' type shots but the camera is not as good as the big one and although the colour was there, the detail wasn't!

Pretty but no depth of field or sharp focus!
Around eleven thirty OTL had finished all the cage cleaning and Fred and Wendy said they really could do with a run out 'cos they didn't have one yesterday and might not get one tomorrow!

OTL said it wasn't good for them to go 'Stir Crazy' so he piled us all in the big car and headed off beach again!

We were heading for the beach when Holly spotted a flower that was full of 'Soldier Beetles' having a party!

Hey! Have a look at this lot!
OTL went into 'Fiddle Mode' with the camera and tried to get close to see what they were doing!

It's a 'Speed Dating Party'!
While he was doing that I went off to see what ships were about but there were none! Not even a rowing boat!

No ticks today!
Being Saturday there were loads of Two Legs out down the sea side over in Sheerness and across the river in Southend on Sea.

We knew this 'cos we could sniff the Fish & Chips and Kebab sniffs coming wafting over on the breeze!

Hey! Get that Donna Kebab with Salad Cream Sauce!
Holly is more into the Fish & Chips and could even tell if they had vinegar on the chips!

Mmmm! Three shakes of vinegar and two of salt!
On the way home the big car sort of lost control of the Sat Nav and the control buttons. Nothing he did made it better, so, he decided to call the car shop on Monday. After settling Fred and Wendy down he got us in the car and tried to start the engine. A couple of 'Error Messages' came up on the screen and the car refused to start!

That was it, no Kent County Show today!

We will still be going tomorrow and TM will be coming as well 'cos she wants to have a cuddle of the young ferrets that OTL has fallen in love with!

Who knows what we will get to eat up at the show but at least we won't be hampered by a muzzle like poor Archie Babe!

I wonder if he has to wear that when he goes into the new garden to chase a frog or two?

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.

He left us Again!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret here!

OK, so we knew he was going to the Kent County Show on his own today but it is just not the same here when he goes! Mind you, he has brought back a load of photographs of some of the stuff he saw today, no boats or ships, just country things!

A HeLand Coo Burger on legs?
There is of course the troublesome coo!
I told you, I Don't Do Burgers!
The sheep were easier to handle and this one got third place!

No Promise me, No Kebabs!
The goats were all cute looking and this on offered Old Two Legs a chew of his dinner!

Wanna Mouthful?
There were some really cute ones on show, this is a Guernsey Gold, or was it a Golden Guernsey?

Wot you doing Mister?
OTL said there were some terrible machines in use down in the sheep area. This sheep wouldn't stand still so it got put into this metal contraption. I would have told her that she should try to Poodle Parlour and see the machines we have to put up with!

OK, I give up, I'll tell you anything you want to know!
This little Jacob sheep saw what was happening and stood perfectly still ready to get a brush before going into the ring!

Honest, I won't move a hoof!
This Peregrine Falcon was happy letting the wind blow through her feathers!

Yeah Man, this is Cool!
There were people making Horse Shoes but it looked like very hot work!

Is his head really alight?
There were motorcyclist jumping over big gaps and trying to hang onto their bikes. I reckon they would be in trouble if a police man saw what they were doing!

A Runaway Bike!
Of course, OTL stopped at the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue stand and cuddled some ferrets and played with others!

He got a Text from The Missus who told him he can't have any more!

I just Love this stuff!
OTL reckons he bumped into someone famous, but couldn't remember his name!

I'm OK with dogs, it's ferrets I stay away from!
So, OTL is back home now and we are sorting out a suitable bag and water bottle and water bowl to take with us tomorrow. We have been told there is a stand that does 'Doggy Treats', so, you know where we will be stopping first thing tomorrow!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.

Sun shine all today!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret here!

Wot a super day today! It has been sun shine from start to finish!

Old Two Legs was up earlier than usual 'cos he had some work to do that today was the last opportunity he had to get it all done!

Down on the beach we spotted a 'Pleasure Boat' heading out of the Medway and charging off to Southend on Sea for a day of fun and frolics!

Off for a day in Southend
Back home we left OTL to get on with his job list!

He was saying that tomorrow The Missus will be taking us out for our walks 'cos he was heading off to the Kent County Show for a day of photography all on his own!

He has said that he will take us with him on Saturday and on Sunday TM will be coming with us as well!

OTL says there are some ferrets he wants to show her!

Lunchtime the tide was in and I went in swimming, just to cool off!

What I didn't see was Old Holly Chops having a little paddle just to cool her paws off!

She said that the stones on the beach were too hot to walk on!

That's better!
I couldn't find a stick for OTL to throw so I went in hunting sea weed! Trouble is, sea weed tastes too salty for me and I spat it out as soon as I got back to shore!

I think I prefer a stick next time!
Back home we collapsed into a shady corner for a snooze until dinner time!

TM is planning to go out to one of her 'Evening Crops' so that means we get to spend some time stretched out on the sofa chewing on a couple of carrots!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.

Holly gets her paws wet!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret here!

Hasn't it been warm today? Old Two Legs was planning to give the old Little Car a wash before sending it off to get it's MOT on Monday but OTL said it was just too hot!

So he left it on the drive and has put off the job until tomorrow!

He's good at putting off jobs, he says it's a skill he has learnt in the past!

The Missus just calls him a Lazy Woofer, or some thing like that!

Down on the beach first thing, we all had a game of 'Dig and Whiz' but the ferrets had their game while Holly Chops and I had our own game!

Getting ready for a Whizz!
Holly and I are having our game near to a plastic bag full of some thing sniffy that was left by the tide!

We had a sniff and then stayed well away!

Holly Chops doing a Whizz!
Being warm, Miss April can't rush and tear around as much as May, so she gets a chance to have a little carry until she feels like another run!

OTL has his hand inside the bag and April is sitting in OTL's hand and is keeping an eye on what is going on around her!

Miss April keeping an eye on what is happening!
Back home OTL was in 'Manufacturing Mode' so that left us with plenty of time for a snooze!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again and Holly got all big and brave 'cos she went into the puddles on the shore and had a sniff at something that was wriggling in the mud!

Look! It's Wriggling!
The afternoon has been just too hot to do anything. So the car remains unwashed and we have all been catching up on the snoozing!

I wonder if Little Bella has been running circles around Hamish and Izzy?

Holly and I reckon that Archie Babe is a lucky woofer having all those frogs to chase, we haven't seen a frog or tadpole in the pond, just loads of snails and wriggly things!

We are going to see what is cooking, both Holly and I could do with a nibble!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.

We meet a couple of Shipwrecked Sailors!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret here!

What fun today has been, I've managed to tick off another boat and Holly tries to get a job as a 'Sea Dog'!

We were up early 'cos The Missus had invited Auntie Barbara for a days messing about with the card stuff!

We headed down to the beach and what did we see?

A Shipwrecked Sailor!

Ahoy Matey! Run out of water?
It seems that they were on their way to Southend but had some trouble with the propeller and had to put ashore for some repairs!

That was last night and they camped overnight on the Sea Wall.

They went Oooh! and Aaah! At the ferrets and even gave Holly a stroke!

When we came back at lunchtime, they were getting ready to leave for a trip to Sheerness to top up on fuel!

Holly had a chat with the Captain and was invited to come on a trip across the Medway and act as the 'Old Sea Dog'!

Let me think about this!
I told her to go but the ferrets reminded that under the keel was a load of deep, wet, water!

She had a think and watched me splashing in the water and decided that she was going to become a 'Land Lubber'!

Thanks for the offer but No Thanks!
After that I suggested she gets her tail wet by coming in for a dip but she refused that idea as well!

Come on in!
After I got out of the water OTL got the book out and we ticked off the 'RIB' boat and OTL explained that RIB was short for Rigid Inflatable Boat!

Getting ready for a launching the RIB!
OTL spent the afternoon 'Manufacturing' while Holly and I polished of a big bowl of chicken each and crept off to bed for a well earned snooze.

Holly and I got a Chew as a treat for eating all our dinner but to be honest, both Holly and I were too full up to eat it.

Holly put hers down and rested her chin on it while I gave mine to OTL to put in a 'Safe Place' until I fancy a nibble later on tonight!

All the ferrets are fast asleep, so I'm off downstairs to see what is happening!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.

A New Woofer!

Hello my merry Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret back again!

Now, first of all, sit up straight and listen!

We have a new Woofer to say hello to!

May I introduce little Miss Bella, the latest addition to the Hamish & Izzy family!

Miss Bella!
Wot a little darling!

We look forward to meeting her if she comes down this end of the world or maybe we will meet when we go North later this year!

Holly was playing 'Hard to Get' when she saw Bert on the Sea Wall. Poor lad was all excited and looking forward to rubbing noses but Holly stayed on the beach and wiggled her tail at him!

I'll wind him up today!
We saw a ship sailing by but couldn't properly identify it, Old Two Legs said it looked like a Sea Going Tug but couldn't be 100% sure! Maybe next time we'll get a better view!

A possible Sea Tug.
In the afternoon we saw a big container ship heading up the Thames, big but not the biggest we have seen!

Heading up the Thames to Tilbury Container Docks.
One of the best things was the tide, it was right in and just calling out for a swim!

You just can't beat a cooling swim!
I was straight in and splashing about chasing twigs that OTL had found on the beach!

Holly decided to keep out and although they were warm both ferrets said they prefer a shady spot under the Sea Kale Plant!

This afternoon OTL headed off to see the Accountant to take a load of paper for him to sort out, something called VAT!

We decided to stay at home but we wished we hadn't 'cos OTL stopped off at the Doggy Shop!

He loaded up with 'Pet Disinfectant' and Doggy Biscuits and Chicken Strips, for the ferrets.

Then he got a whacking big bed that is big enough for both Holly and me to lay down in, at the same time!

So now it looks like we are banned to the back seat with the ferrets!

Mind you, we will be able to transfer it to the Big Car when we go on holiday!

Now we are off to see if we can mug OTL for some of his Bambi Burgers!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Mr Freddy de Ferret.
