All we want is some wind!

Hi Woofers!

Us Woofers are back again! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

If there was one day when we could have done with some serious wind it was today!

We have tried to make our own wind today, we started of by blowing when we got to the beach but it didn't seem to have much success 'cos the misty fog was still there!

Well, that didn't work!
Holly suggested that we get Archie Babe down 'cos he has the ability to 'Raise The Wind' , well that's what Auntie Elaine says!

I did remind Holly that there was the problem of the six berries that have yet to resolved and if Archie was to let rip we could end up with a 'Gun Fight at Grain' situation!

So, that was it, we decided to leave the weather alone and wait for the wind to arrive on its own!

Mind you, Eric did say that he sometimes gets a 'Funny Tummy' and manages to 'Raise the Wind!' but Miss May said he was more 'Substance' than 'Quantity'!

Small but powerful!

We left the beach and headed for home.

We found Fred and Wendy all tucked up together and when we told them about the wind they said that there was only place to be on a day like today..........

Cuddled up in bed!

Lunchtime we stopped off at the Village Hall to say 'Hello' to the Allhallows Croppers who were having their Christmas Party. Holly and I said 'Hello' to them all and then went 'Hunting Food'!

We had some fun sorting out the 'Mini Sausages' and Holly even found a Pork Pie!

We couldn't hang about 'cos Old Two Legs had got our lunch ready at home, so, more food!

Let's hope that we all get some wind tonight, well, except OTL 'cos when he gets the wind we all know about it!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Christmas Starts Here!

Hello Woofers!

Here we are, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It's been another one of those 'Grey Days' little wind, mild and rather 'Nothing' if you know what I mean!

Down on the beach this morning we couldn't see the horizon, just a load of grey and on top of that, no sunrise!

Maybe it is a Grey Sun today?
It certainly didn't please young Eric, he said that the grey morning made him look all 'Monochromatic'!

Look! No colour!
While Eric was trying to get a bit of colour into his morning walk Old Two Legs spotted young Marley coming along the Sea Wall!

You know there is something about OTL that Marley just loves and of course he was straight up to OTL then rolled onto his back so OTL could tickle his tummy!

I want a Tickle!
Back home OTL finished off his 'Poo Shovelling' while the ferrets had a great time rampaging around the house!

Wendy and Freddy had the best time 'cos The Missus went off in the car to a local craft shop so the ferrets could rampage as much as they wanted!

It was so exhausting that Freddy ended up in a drawer in the office, fast asleep!

OTL put him back to bed then went looking for Wendy who was fast asleep in one of TM's boxes in her store room!

Two tired little ferrets!

In fact they were so worn out that they didn't want to go out at lunch time and even refused to wake up!

That was OK by Holly and me and off we went, only to find the 'Grey' had got greyer!

I still see no ships!
As Holly and I were sniffing around the beach we got to discussing Archie Babe and the Holly Berries that he is 'Passing Through'!

Holly pointed out that he had to be very careful, you see it's OK to get rid of them in a good poo but you had to be very careful if the all sort of gather together and  you are suffering from the Windy Pops!

Holly says it could be like a shot gun going off!

Boom!

Let's hope Archie Babe doesn't suffer from wind!
Tonight OTL and Tm are off out for a meal with friends and every year TM looks on this as the start of Christmas Time!

We just hope they are not too late 'cos Holly and I will need a wee before bed!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Breaking News! Santa is coming to our village, early!

Hi Woofers!

The Gang is back, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Hey! We have just found out that on Saturday The Missus and the Allhallows Croppers are holding their Christmas Bash! Well we will be going up there at lunch time to see what we can get in the way of nibbles!

However, we have also found out that they won't be putting away all the tables and chairs 'cos Santa Paws wants the hall for sorting out all the presents that he has to deliver to the village!

Holly and I are making a plan to get up there after nine and get to see Santa Paws and ask him for a present for Old Two Legs 'cos we reckon he has been 'Nice' more than he has been 'Naughty' this year!

The ferrets reckon we should ask for a new Poo Shovel 'cos he has nearly worn out the old one. I think a new harness for Holly and me would be a better idea but we need to be 'Fitted' for a new harness so that will have to wait until we go to the Kent County Show in July next year!

So, what do we get the Two Legs who has everything?

We will have to think on that!

It was all grey down on the beach today, no exciting sun rise, well if it was exciting the clouds hid it from us!

No Sun today, the clouds got in the way!
Miss May decided that to get warmed up she would have a go at some 'Speed Digging' which started off with he jumping onto the pile of sand and shells at the same time she let out the 'Ferret Yell' which is a bit like a 'Rebel Yell' but a shade more squeaky!

Wa-Woo-Woohoo!
Now Holly and I had never heard May doing the yell but I must say, it got our attention!

What the Woofin' Heck was that?
These ferrets can sure scare the locals!

We got home and enjoyed a good snooze in our 'Day Bed' while OTL was plonking away on the computer doing some 'Important' stuff!'

That was until lunchtime when we set off for the beach again. It was still grey and dismal but the tide was right in. I decided to leave it alone and retire to the grass bank 'cos those waves looked just too close!

No! Not for even a paddle!
OTL put the ferrets down for a run and a dig but it didn't work 'cos as soon as their paws hit the beach they were demanding the Ferret Bag!

No Way! Bring the bag here, now!
Holly, who was sitting on top of the Sea Wall, looked disdainfully at it and announced that she was 'Going Home'!

I don't do Wet and I don't do Cold! I'm off home, Now!
That was it, she just upped and waddled her butt back to the car!

Back home OTL spent all afternoon on the computer making a 'Quotation' for one of his customers and was still at it when it was time to publish the Blog!

Now, we still haven't decided if he has been 'Naughty or Nice', Decisions, Decisions!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

We meet Winston the Bulldog, at last!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

You know it is still warmish down here in North Kent! Looking at the weather monitoring thingy Old Two Legs has in the office, it got up to almost thirteen degrees centigrade today!

If it gets any warmer I will be definitely going in for a swim!

We were a little late this morning, OTL overslept again, mind you, I didn't complain 'cos I snuggled up to his back where it was warm and cuddly!

The sun had just got up when we got to the Sea Wall so everything was bathed in a golden glow!

Miss May made the most of it and kept asking if she looked like a blond ferret instead of a silver one like wot she is really!

Eric said she looked lovely no matter what colour she was!

Wot a creep!

Does blond suit me?
As Holly and I were digging in the sand Winston came along and said Hello to OTL and got his tail tickled! Then, for the first time, he noticed us and woofed a 'Morning Girls', then he went back to OTL for another Tail Tickle!

Come on another Tail Tickle please!
Holly reckons Winston is a bit of a soppy woofer 'cos he is never off his lead. Holly says that it's because if he was off his lead he would get lost going from one side of the path to the other!

Mind you, she only said that when Winston was out of hearing range!

Lunchtime the tide was in and the wind was almost zero and the sun was out!

We looked out to sea but didn't see any ships or boats, in fact there was nothing!

I see no ships!
I must admit, it did look tempting and I was almost ready to dive in for a swim but OTL was too close and he had his eye on me as well!

Miss Wendy and Freddy didn't come out yesterday, so both of them were looking forward to a run. They took it in turns to climb back in the bag while the other had a little rampage through the grass and undergrowth!

OK, my turn in the bag!
We got back home and OTL had to go out to see some customers and couldn't take us, so, Holly and I had some fun searching for a box that Archie Babe sent us. Yesterday we got a quick sniff before The Missus said it was for 'Christmas Morning'!

Well today we played 'Hunt the Parcel', we went everywhere but although we reckon it is in the bedroom, we just couldn't locate it!

Most frustrating it is, just getting a mere wisp of a sniff but not enough to find it!

That TM can be sneaky sometimes!

Bye the way, TM has been on Faceache talking to Beverly who is going to paint Holly and me, or was it her sister was going to do a water colour, or maybe it was pastels, anyway we are going to be famous in the U.S.A.!

Pretty soon it's going to be five bob to talk to us!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret

New Woofers on the Horizon!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It's been a busy sort of day today, Old Two Legs is trying to 'Fine Tune' the memory things he has been playing with and it has slowed everything down on the network.

We had The Missus complaining that the 'Catch Up' TV which comes via the 'Internutty Thingy' keeps 'Falling Over'!

Well, we have never seen it fall over before, we have seen OTL collapse on the arm chair but that was more to do with fighting the angels for the whisky!

Still, once he has finished messing about TM will settle down to her 'missed' TV and all will be right with the world!

Down on the beach today we watched a big ship set off for places unknown and when OTL showed us the picture I decided to feature it on the blog!

Not bad for an old duffer!
It wasn't really as dark as that but it has something to do with the camera looking at the sun!

Clever eh?

Before the ship set off we were watching it move away from the harbour, being pushed and pulled by a couple of tugs.

I'll be glad when Spring arrives!
May and Eric were playing the old 'Bag Game', you know, let's see if we can get back into the ferret bag and get a carry all the way back to the car!

They got a carry most of the way 'cos the grass was wet where it had been raining, so we had two wet an soggy ferrets!

Lunchtime came and OTL decided that as Fred and Wendy were so fast asleep and cuddled up together, they wouldn't like it if he was to drag them around the Sea Wall getting all wet and soggy, so they carried on snoozing leaving Holly and I to run around at our own speed!

Back home we got a phone call from Auntie Jane, now she has just decided to get another woofer and went to see some Poodle/Jack Russell cross breed woofers. There were three left and she had decided to have one but when she got there she decided that they were so sweet and lovely that she would have two of them instead.

Having two would mean that there would be one left on its own.

So she decided to have all three!

So, on the sixth of January she will be picking up, Alfie, Oscar and Louie!

Three Jack Doodles!

We can't wait to see them!

Freddy and Wendy were out playing this morning and OTL found them playing with TM's slippers, they were in the middle of removing the 'Insole' form one slipper, having removed the other insole and hidden it somewhere!

TM is now walking with a limp!

Right, I hear that dinner is about to be served, so we are off to eat it and be ready for mugging OTL when he gets his dinner!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

It's been a Lick an Stick Day!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

It is still a bit chilly down here on the North Kent Coast. In fact it was so chilly that Old Two Legs pulled the duvet up over his head and went back to sleep again and got up an hour later than normal!

Snoozy OTL!

When we went out for our walk we were all alone! Not another woofer in sight!

I think Miss May was feeling the cold 'cos she got OTL to pick her up and give her a cuddle almost all the way back to the car!

Eric was doing his 'sniff and hunt' trick but that gave May a longer cuddle in OTL's arms!

Down on the beach we came across a few Brent Geese splashing about just off the shore and of course Holly was taking a lot of interest!

I wonder if they taste like chicken?
Typical Holly, always thinking of her stomach!

Back home it was the normal 'Clearing Up' after the ferrets and pile of poo everywhere! OTL says that all ferrets are just cuddly poo machines!

Not that the ferrets care, they just love food!

Remind you of anyone?

Because we were up an hour later that means Fred and Wendy were still awake when it came to midday walkies time!

Mind you, when we got to the beach it took a little while to get them going!

Wendy said she rather fancied a carry but OTL reminded her that the idea of the walk was to give them some exercise!

Exercise? We get that running around the house!
This afternoon we have all been helping with the Christmas cards. The Missus has been making the cards and we have been helping seal up the envelopes. We used Holly's tongue to lick the glue 'cos she has a big long tongue!

The ferrets then roll across the back of the envelope to seal it and I then OTL put them through the stamping machine!

Organisation or wot?

After we finished Holly said that all that glue has given her a 'Grumbly Tum' and her tongue kept sticking to the roof of her mouth!

A good slurp of water managed to 'unstick' Holly's tongue!

Now because we have been working hard we reckon we should be allowed to have a peek inside the 'Christmas Box from Archie Babe but OTL says it will be put away until Christmas Morning!

Grrrrrrrrrrh!

We have heard that Mr Goodes has had a fun time getting up into London to get his sinuses seen to! Anyone who goes up to London by buss and train this time of the year must be very brave! You never know if the trains are running 'cos of the strike!

Never mind, claws crossed this end that he gets sorted out soon.

Mind you, I reckon if we get Wendy do a 'Windy Pop' that may clear his sinuses and his ear as well!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Data Shifting, Part II

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, things are progressing well this end of the world, the hot weather has passed by and now there is a slight chill in the air. Not that it worries us but it reminds us that December is normally six foot deep in snow and ice and howling blizzards.

OK, maybe I do exaggerate a little 'cos down here in North Kent if we get two snow flakes the trains stop running 'cos it is the 'Wrong Snow' and all the cars on the roads drive around in first gear and cause big traffic jams when the road is no worse than after a summer shower!

Well, that's wot Old Two Legs says and he spent most of his working life on the road as a Sales Rep, and you know what they say about that lot!

Now, Data Shifting. We have transferred all the data from one memory box that was showing signs of 'Problems' and it is all on a 2 Terror Bite memory box. This morning OTL installed a second, new, memory box with a 4 Terror Bite memory capacity. Now he is transferring the data from the 2TB box into the new 4TB box, so he has two memory backups!

Complicated? Yes but we think he knows wot he is doing!

Now, before he starts to hog the laptop again for this data transfer, we have managed to process some of the photo's we haven't been able to up load over the last three days!

Red Sky in the Morning is a Ferrets Warning!
When we go for a walk OTL carries the ferrets to the beach, which is the furthest we go, then he let's them walk or run back. Us woofers have to walk!

Just for a change I would like a carry to the beach!
By the time we get to the beach all our mates appear on the Sea Wall and of course the biggest, soppiest is Marley who just can't start the day until he has a tickle on the tum from OTL!

Hey OTL, I'm Coming!
By the time he gets his tickle all the others have caught up and off they go leaving the ferrets to play on the beach!

There's Marley Oscar, Max, Polly, Bryn and Beau, plus TL's!
Miss Wendy is always slow to start her walk but once she gets warmed up she is off like a rocket but Freddy still goes at his own speed!

Freddy just doesn't  do running like wot I do!
Of course, while we all wait for Freddy to get into gear Holly and I have a game of 'Dig and Whizz' which is always goof fun!

My Turn! My Turn! My Turn! My Turn!
Often we meat up with Barney II who recons that OTL gives the best 'Tail Tickle' and of course, just can't wait to get to him!

Come On! Gissa Tickle!
This morning, being Sunday, we were up just a little later than normal, so by the time we got to the beach the sun was up and flying, but OTL reckons it was still worth a shot!

Sunny or Wot?
We were on the beach when there was a little woof and who should turn up but Barney II again!

Come on OTL, Tickle Time!
Holly reckons that we should try to bottle OTL's tickles 'cos we would make a fortune!

Now, May and Eric have been getting to know each other ever since he moved in and slowly, bit by bit OTL has made Eric feel at home and also made May feel secure. You know, loads of cuddles for both and a separate bed for May in the early days.

Then the bed sort of 'Fell Off' the shelf so May couldn't use it so she had to sleep on the cushion near to Eric and so it progressed.

To give you an idea what is happening now, OTL took this picture this morning after they got back in the cage after their rampage around the house!

Makes you go all Aaaaaah!
So, there we are, all up to date and here comes OTL to do some more Data Transferring, so Bye Bye for now and we'll see you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A New Chair for OTL!

Hi Ho Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Would you believe that we are nearly finished transferring data?  We are down to the last two folders, 5,409 items and 6.79GB!

Mind you, this has transferred all the data from one unit to another that is acting as a storage until he installs the new memory unit. Still, once it is done that will stop him worrying about loosing data!

Just think of it, if one of these units goes down you could loose all the Blogger Photos and also all the other photos of us woofers!

Now what is this about sniffing like a pear? A Woofer should sniff like a Woofer, all earthy and grassy and muddy!

Miss May likes to roll on the grass while we are waiting for Eric finish his sniffs but I don't think even she would allow a pear sniff!

Now, do we have to start a truce with the postman? I mean, Postmen are for chasing down the garden path! Old Two Legs says that if we chase off the Postman then we could miss out on Christmas cards and Prezzies!

That is of course a load of rubbish 'cos Christmas Prezzies are delivered by Father Santa Paws!

OTL does get things mixed up sometimes!

OTL has/had a chair in the office that was looking past it's best, in fact the covering was getting all worn and falling apart. So, today, we headed off to the local Staples and he got a super new chair with arm rests and a headrest! Now, if it is too comfortable he is going to keep falling asleep and then there will be no work done and we may even miss out on our walks!

Young Eric has stayed well away from Wendy today and other than a passing sniff, he did all his rampaging down stairs in the Ping Pong Ball Crate!

Eric has just learnt the first lesson..........Wimmin Rool!

See you all tomorrow when with a bit of luck, we can get back onto the laptop!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Still moving data!

Hello Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Would you believe it? We are still moving data from one place to another! Mostly pictures but so far we have shifted 29,433 items!

We never knew he had taken so many!

Young Eric got himself into trouble this morning, big time!

After we got back from our morning walk, Old Two Legs started to clean the cages out. He opened the door and let Eric and May out for a rampage around the house, as normal.

Then for some unknown reason he opened the door to Fred and Wendy's cage and changed the water bowl.

Next thing OTL hears is Wendy and Eric screaming!

There was Wendy, teeth clamped around the side of Eric's neck, giving him the old Ferret Death Roll!

In went OTL and managed to get them apart. Wendy was in 'Super Kill' mode while Eric was shaking with fright!

Poor lad, he has never been in a dispute over territory before and all he wanted was a sniff in the cage but instead got a furious ball of fluff and teeth intent on making sure he never forgets whose cage this was!

It took OTL a good ten minutes to calm Eric down and stop him from shaking!

Me thinks a lesson has been learnt!

OTL will only open one cage at a time in future!

Strange isn't it, it is May and Wendy that show aggression but the lads only want a quiet life!

OTL has been working hard today getting last minute orders shifted. Why is it that the customers always leave it to the last minute to order something and then expect you to (a) have it in stock, (b) expect to to drop everything and re-engineer it just for them and (c) get it down to the carrier today for delivery tomorrow morning?

I've never really understood Two Legs!

Hey! Now, what's all this about getting washed and having to wear a Christmas costume? Us woofer have standards to keep you know!

Mind you, OTL has us booked in the Poodle Parlour on the 23rd December! It had just better be a mild Christmas or there will be deep trouble!

The laptop that is controlling the data movement is saying that there is 81.9GB to go and it will take nine hours!

That means we can't do the other five folders before two thirty tomorrow morning!

OTL can stay up if he wants but we are off to bed !

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret (with a sore neck).

It's the Dentist Man Again!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Fun time here!

We were up early today 'cos The Missus wanted to use the little car to go out shopping. We tried very hard and got out before the sun came up and we expected to get the ferrets to wee a bit quicker and speed up the sniffing as well!

No chance!

It seemed that every dog we know and a few we don't know, they were all out this morning earlier than normal!

Old Two Legs was picking up and putting down the ferrets all along the path and of course, we just had to stop and say 'Good Morning' to all the woofers and their Two Legs!

Finally we got home to see TM standing there with her arms folded, her foot tapping and her making a 'Tutting' sound!

We all blamed OTL and then scarpered off to the office to keep out of the way!

Once TM had gone OTL had a super game with all the ferrets, Miss Wendy shoved the box of ferret food off the office desk then rushed down the plastic tube so she could start eating it.

Freddy heard all the noise and was there in a flash, well Freddy and food are very much like Holly and food, they sort of go together!

TM got back in time for our afternoon walk but we couldn't hang around 'cos OTL had to visit the dentist to get his bridge re installed!

He has only just got back and he now has a mouth full of re-engineered plastic teeth!

He has got to wait for three months before he can get the real bridge installed and the vet says it will be made of metal!

Holly says we will have to call him 'Old Tin Chops' instead of Two Legs!

Sorry there are no pictures today, you see OTL is moving loads of files from one memory stack to another and doesn't want to overload the laptop!

That means we have to use the 'Office Computer' which doesn't have any photo processing programs!

You will have to wait until tomorrow!

Bye bye for now!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
