It's been wet today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

It is wet! It started this morning while we were fast asleep, all stretched out on the bed, plenty of room to wag a tail while sleeping on our backs!

This morning's walk was a little blowy but the rain held off for the time it took us to get around the Sea Wall!

Even Fred and Wendy wanted to get down from Old Two Legs arms and have a run!

Last nights food was Doggy Scoff, not the best meal that we've had and it took OTL to scrape some of his gravy from his plastic plate to spice it up a bit! It was Beef in Red Wine whatsit. Not the best meal but it only took twelve minutes to cook in the microwave at top setting and a couple of minutes for the fire to go out!

Better still, he didn't need to wash the plate up, just scrape what's left over Holly's and my scoff and then straight in the bin!

Sorted!

We did have some 'Afters' Cheese and Biscuits, Crisps, Shortbread and a glass of Malt Whisky!

Did I tell you we all slept well?

Do you remember we have a resident rat under the shed? He keeps on coming out to nibble on the bird seed? Well, OTL has had the Rat Trap out again, loaded with bird seed and guess wot?

Yep! Ratty has manged to stay out of the trap!

So, today OTL got the camera out to see if he can 'Capture' Ratty and he did!

Today we got fresh chicken thighs cooked in a splash of extra virgin olive oil and served up all warm and oily!

Yum Yum!

OTL set up the video camera to capture the ferrets doing a 'Breaking and Entering' so in a couple of days we should have it on YooToob!

Lunchtime walk was late 'cos it was bucketing down but that didn't worry us 'cos Holly and I had full tummies!

Wake me up later for a walk, my tummy is asleep!

TM seems to have done something to her email from Texas, send is OK but Receive is getting lost! Ah! she will have to read this Blog to catch up on what's going on!

Mind you, Sue did that when I mistakenly published the blog when still half way through composing it! Got her all worried it did! Don't worry Sue, Claw Problem!

 Both Eric and May were full of it on the beach, they kicked Holly out of her hole and carried on digging!

It's better when the Woofers clear orf!

 Looking at the emails, it looks like The Missus has found the correct button to push! I suppose now she will be on FaceAche instead of this fine blog!

OTL says that we may have Lambs Heart tomorrow, providing he remembers to get the stuff out of the freezer!

Don't worry, we'll remind him!

She has gone!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a couple of days we have had!

Yesterday it was all rush and tear around chasing our own tails! There were some last minute panics about booking in on line and what bags to declare and in the end we left the booking in until they got to Heathrow and did it in person!

We had to leave at some terrible time in the morning which Old Two Legs had calculated meant we had to get up at four thirty!

OTL was worried about missing the alarm, didn't sleep very well and ended up getting up at four in the morning!

Finally we got to Heathrow and Holly, OTL and I waved and woofed them off as they headed for the booking in desk!

We headed off and got back around nine and it was straight down to the beach for a well deserved wee!

The ferrets didn't mind not going out on the early walk, May and Eric came out at lunchtime and enjoyed a dig in the sand!

All day we have been watching the Internet and following the planes progress across the Atlantic. At the moment they are running down the centre of the U.S.A. and OTL reckons they will land around 21:30hr GMT which is about 15:30CST (CST= Central Standard Time?) They have a lot of time zones over there!

We are heading off for an early night 'cos we are all very tired! OTL reckons they will have slept for most of the way there and should arrive all bright eyed and bushy tailed!

So, night night for now and let's hope it all gets back together again tomorrow!

Watch out we reckon we may even see The Missus leaving some comments on this blog!

Friday and the Sun Shone!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

Wot a super day Doris has left us! Yesterday it was all wet and windy and today, sun shine!

Down on the beach we had a good game of 'Dig and Whizz' while Old Two Legs was trying to get Freddy started! Freddy was so taken with the warm sun shine he said he wanted to try some sun bathing, especially as it didn't involve getting wet!

Just like Archie Babe, he doesn't do wet!

Almost deep enough for a swim!

 He found a depression in the sea shells and snuggled down. It was only OTL blowing on the 'Squeaker' that got him up and waddling towards the car!

Nah! Leave me here to catch a few rays while you go and bring the car here!

 It was the same at lunchtime, both May and Eric wanted to stay on the beach all afternoon but OTL had some work to do, so that stopped all the sun bathing today!

All we need is a couple more degrees and it will be splashy time!

Back home Holly and I did some damage to a big bowl of chicken, leaving a few mouthfuls for later on tonight before bed!

The Missus was out with her mates so we didn't get any 'Treats' for eating all our dinner and OTL didn't seem to understand when we were calling out 'Treats! Treats! Treats!'

You know it got so bad that Holly had to get him to move some of TM's plastic boxes full of craft stuff to allow Holly access to the three 'Nodular Biscuits' Miss May hid after opening the cupboard yesterday!

Today OTL was getting a bit worried 'cos while sitting at his desk he could hear a banging sound coming from the kitchen. Yes, it was Miss May again getting into the cupboard to pinch another three biscuits to replace the ones Holly had 'Rescued' earlier. She was trying to get out by pushing the door open with her nose then ducking down to pick up the biscuit and of course the door banged shut!

It was only when she got angry and picked up the biscuit and rushed at the door did she get out!

Another lesson learned!

TM is off on Sunday, so we have been checking up on the stock of grub left for us. If there is not enough then OTL will be down the town with his list of Doggy Food Essentials!

Weasel-like Stinky Thief!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, I know we have some fans out there who even find the ferrets warm and cuddly!

Did you know they have a Latin name that roughly translates as ' Weasel-like Stinky Thief'!

When we heard that we thought that it was a little rude to call a ferret a 'Stinky Thief'!

That was until we sniffed Wendy going into 'Attack Mode' and letting one go that made our eyes water!

OK then, a bit sniffy maybe, but a thief? Well that was until this morning when Old Two Legs witnessed Miss May doing a 'Breaking and Entering' to get some of our biscuits!

A Safe place to keep our biscuits!

This Breaking and Entering was done four times and at one time she was joined by Eric but he couldn't get his nose in the door and waddled off with the 'Huff'!

Storm Doris arrived and sent some dark clouds down to us, together with a bit of rain that managed to soak us all!

After our lunchtime walk in the wind, Michael and Sue arrived at the house. We were going to take them down the Sea Wall but they decided that it was too windy, too wet and too cold!

So, they stayed with The Missus while May and Eric, Holly and I went for a stroll!





I was glad to get back, not because it was windy but because I had left a Bonio under my sleeping cushion and I didn't want Holly Chops to find it before me!

She didn't, but she found hers under her cushion!

TM is starting to pack her suitcase ready for her holiday, so many things to sort out, like, do I wrap the binoculars in Bubble Wrap?

I mean, she has loads of clothing in the case, why bubble wrap?

We headed off for a pre dinner snooze and left her to it!

Pongo & Phew!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret!

Well, as you know, Holly and I were off to the Poodle Parlour today to get washed, sploshed and generally tarted up!

Before we headed off to the parlour we had our walk down on the beach with Wendy and Fred.

Holly decided that she was going to make the Poodle Parlour work for their money and straight away did her famous 'Nose Dive and Roll' in the sand and when she came out of it she said 'Wash that lot out!'

.....and a bit under my chin!

 Now, it wasn't sunny at all, in fact it was horrid grey and right dismal, in fact if you looked at the picture you would believe it was a B&W photo!

No, Honest, it's Colour!

Unfortunately, we missed out on the lunchtime walk but Eric and May went for a walk with Old Two Legs and had a great time playing in the sand!

Shift over Eric, I wanna dig here!

 While everyone was having fun Holly and I got 'The Treatment' and ended up sniffing like a accident at Dior's Goods In!

Finally OTL arrived and paid over his pension to get us out!

That was it, off home via the beach for a quick wee before the rain set in!

So, here we are getting ready for dinner!

Who nicked Spring!

Hi Woofers,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret back with you again!

Wot a change from yesterday! I mean, there it was all sunshine and balmy breezes and then today, what did we get?

Grey clouds!

Not exactly the brightest day this week!

Mind you, I did make up for it. I found this super pile of stink on the sand and just dived in!

Oh Woofin' Heck! Is she in trouble!

And I was, I got a full wash and scrub and on top of that my harness had to be washed as well!

Mind you, Freddy did a roll but missed out on the poo!

I must say, it does have a sort of buzz to it!

As we got closer to the car, Wendy and Freddy ran onto the 'Ferret Path'. It's funny how all of the ferrets use the same path through grass!

Come on, shift your tail!

Lunchtime it was May and Eric's turn to have a run on the beach and Miss May said she couldn't find any poo to roll in and she felt she was missing out!

Old Two Legs told her she  would only get a scrubbing in a bowl of soap suds!

Oh No! Not the Soap Suds!

Eric had a great time digging a trench down the beach and kept on looking around to see if anyone was watching his 'Engineering'!

McAlpine has nothing on me!

Holly and I had some fun doing a 'Fast Dig' while the ferrets watched and hopefully pick up some ideas on hole digging!

OK, second gear!

 Holly got going and in the end there was sand being thrown all over the place and even the ferrets got covered!

Eric ran off and May asked OTL to pick her up, just to get out of the sand shower!

Quick OTL, save me from the Sand Storm!

Back home we left OTL to finish off his messing about on the computer while we all headed for our 'Snoozing Beds'!

See you all tomorrow when we should look like a couple of poodles 'cos it's our 'Shampoo and Set day!

Now, today is also Auntie Sue's birthday!

We have been working on a new 'Birthday Song' so, take a deep breath and here goes!

It feels like Spring today!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Wot a wonderful day it's been today!

If we ignore the fact that both Holly and I have got a 'Grumbly Tum' for something we have both eaten, today has been super!

We got down onto the beach with Wendy and Freddy and had a great time on the sand.

Both ferrets we running around digging holes while Holly and I tormented Old Two Legs by rolling on the sand and ignoring his instructions to 'Get Up'! 

Any closer and your tail is Mine!

Looking out over the river Medway was great 'cos the sun was shining and the sky was almost clear of clouds!

A real Spring Day!

Holly Chops just couldn't stop herself, sore butt or no!

When we got back with May and Eric, the sun was still shining down onto the beach. Eric and May were digging trenches while I got going with a couple of holes!

Everyone was rolling on the sand as well!

Of course I joined in but instead of rolling around, I went for a bit of 'Dig and Whizz' all up and down the beach and just for fun I was pushing the sand back into the ferrets trenches!

Sand? Me? No! Not Me!

Then we decided to have a contest, The Best Sand Hole' with OTL deciding on the winner!

After much deliberation he said that Miss May had the most impressive hole especially as she was a ferret with short legs!

Oi! My hole is the best!

Both Holly and I though that OTL had been 'got at' 'cos we saw May sitting on his shoulder and giving his ear a lick!

Back home OTL spent a couple of hours installing four new bird nesting boxes and he also took down two that had got past their best!

So, now there are three sparrow boxes on the shed while the one for Blue Tits has been moved to the branch of the tree in the garden.

We still have the bird box with a camera in it but being it is for sparrows, we expect they will load it up with grass and stuff and block the camera lens as they did last year!

Now, we have also seen Ratty raiding the seed fallen from the bird feeder. He or she, is still on their own so OTL has been hunting out the Rat Trap that spent the winter behind the shed!

Now we have been here before and Ratty has been too sneaky in the past and ignored the tempting food pile on the trigger plate!

Still, if we don't trap Ratty, OTL will get the camera out to get him on film!

Now this morning I was reading Izzy's comments and went all shivery and cold remembering when I had the chip dug into my shoulder! It was horrible and only made me very afraid of the vet! Still, it doesn't hurt any more but at the time...........Ouch!

So, that's it for today, The Missus is getting her stuff ready for her trip to the U.S.A. and OTL has had the first delivery of frozen meals on plastic plates!

He'll do anything to get out of the washing up!

He's Back!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

We just loved the extra room there is on the bed last night! As much as we love Old Two Legs, there is something to be said for stretching out your front and back paws and not touching anyone else!

We got news that OTL was packing up and then heading to the breakfast bar to get his 'Rabbit Food' before setting off for home.

Holly and I had heard OTL complaining about the vast number of 'Mini Two Legs' there were in the hotel and this morning there were a load of them all dressed up in pointed hats and dressed in Hogwarts school gowns!

They were all off to the 'Harry Potter Experience'!

OTL has been there and says it is 'Really Cool'!

After the morning walk we headed up to the bedroom window where we spent hours looking out of the window waiting for the Big Car to arrive back.

Then, a bit later than expected, there it was driving down the road.

Well, Holly and I went just a teeny weeny bit potty!

After OTL had unpacked all his stuff we settled down for a chat and a little cuddle before dinner!

Daddy's Home!

So, a little snooze and now we are off to see what we can pinch!

We meet the Ladies that Craft!

Yo Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Now, you know that Old Two Legs has left us for the weekend, so, that means we have to fit in with The Missuses plans which include spending hours up at the village hall 'Crafting'!

Well, Holly and I did the expected thing of saying 'Hello' to everyone and seeing if we could snaffle any food that may be left unguarded!

We both got nibbles!

The ferrets got a run around at home while TM was cleaning the cages. Crafty TM shut the ferrets out of the office while she cleaned the poo out and prevented Miss May from doing a 'Ferret Boo'!

When Freddy and Wendy were out, Wendy got lost behind the filing cabinet and had Old Two Legs not warned TM about the hiding place, young Wendy might still be there!

OTL is having fun and we believe he has got a couple of books to read over the next few weeks.

I'm not too sure on what has upset me but I've got a 'Grumbly Tum', Holly reckons it is the chew I have kept hidden in the office for the last two weeks, just 'cos it has some green furry stuff on it!

I think it is because I'm missing OTL, still, I've got one of his coats to sleep on so I still can pretend he is here with me giving me a cuddle while I snooze!

With a bit of luck he should be home tomorrow so I will have the 'Real OTL Sniff' to cuddle up to!

He's Gone!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, today's blog is going to be shorter than normal and on top of that, there are no pictures!

We were out early this morning, but not early enough to catch the sun rise, so no 'Ethereal Sunrise' pictures!

In fact there were no pictures at all 'cos as soon as we got to the beach there were loads of the gang sniffing around and Two Legs talking to Old Two Legs!

We took May and Eric out in the morning 'cos Freddy and Wendy, after their morning slurp of Lactose Free milk and a chew of Chicken Strip they headed back to bed for a snooze and OTL said it was terrible to wake them up to go for a walk!

So, instead we took Eric and Wendy!

Wendy was all up for a rampage around the beach and the Grass Path but Eric was a little slow and at one point he even got OTL to carry him!

Back home it was all rush and tear to get the cages cleaned and food bowls filled before OTL had to leave.

We were excited thinking that we were going too but got all sad when OTL waved 'Bye Bye' and left us with The Missus!

Both Holly and I sat by the window for a while thinking OTL might change his mind and come back but he has been gone so long that I think he is well on his way up the M1 motorway!

We are looking forward to seeing what TM does with the ferret cages tomorrow and what the ferrets get up to when they have their rampage around the house with TM to keep them in line!

Some hope!

Now trying to decide which two babies to give away must be terrible but as long as you make sure the TL's that come to take them away are properly vetted, sniffed and looked at make sure they play with the puppy before you let them out of your sight!

Oh! and another thing, make sure you get reports and pictures of their progress!

We all had to leave Mum but as long as we get loved it is OK!

Let's face it, we did alright!

We will have a chat with OTL tonight and make sure he is missing us!
