Still no Paddle!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret again!

Another muggy day with a few clouds!

There may have been some clouds but it still maxed out at 30 degrees here in North Kent!

First thing this morning it was cool enough for May and Eric to come out with us and they enjoyed a ferret around on the beach, digging holes and rolling in the sniff in the bottom of the hole!

Go and find your own sniffin' hole!
Mind you, I found a good sniff and of course, I just couldn't resist a roll my self!

This is how it's done!
Young Eric loves a roll but he really enjoys himself when he is climbing, rocks, chairs or even Old Two Legs bed!

Will I need all my climbing gear on this one?
Lunchtime was a bit of a downer, I got strapped into the harness 'cos OTL had spotted that the tide was in and I was looking a bit to lovingly at the water!

I don't think I'll get a dip today!
I was right, OTL kept me well away from the water!

When we left home it was clouding over and the temperature had dropped and OTL thought that it was OK for the ferrets, well, by the time we all got to the beach it was all stinking hot again, so, the ferrets didn't get their run around.

Miss Wendy had a wander along the beach then climbed back into OTL's arms along with Freddy Boy!

This is getting too hot for me!
I just sat on the beach wishing!

I wish, I wish, I wish!
Back home both ferrets had dried out after being dunked into the drinking bowl so OTL gave Miss Wendy another dunk in the water tray and then a good rub down with one of our towels!

Freddy ran off and hid under his bed, he reckons he was wet enough!

So that really is our day, hot and damp!

So far we haven't heard how Izzy's mum is doing after her operation so, claws crossed, it all went well!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

A Day at The Show.

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Today we get to go to the Kent County Show! It was all rush and tear this morning, The Missus took Holly and I down the beach for our morning walk and Old Two Legs was busy clearing the ferret cages out!

It was about nine thirty that we turned up on site and there was loads of horse boxes all over the place!

You could sniff the horse poo a mile away!

Once we got out of the car Holly and I were all over the place sniffing the sniffs all the way to the entrance!
Just get a load of these sniffs!
We had a walk around the show, stopping every so often for a drink at a well placed bowl of water.
When there was no bowl, OTL got our bowl out and the bottle of water and we had another slurp!

There were woofers all over the place, some doing 'Fetch' demonstrations and the rest of us were just watching!

Mind you, we did see some really soppy woofers, like the one who felt he needed a cuddle when the hunting hawks flew around!
There is always one Bozo!
We stopped into the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue stand to watch some ferret racing! Well, it wasn't so much a race more of a creep along some pipes. The winner was the ferret who got it's tail out of the pipe first!
Is this the right way out?
We all woofed at the ferrets to get them moving but there was always the one who turned around and went back!

Finally there was a winner who seemed a bit confused about why every one was cheering!

Me? A Winner? Really?
The sun was really beating down and we spent a lot of time looking for some shade to rest in while TM went off shopping.

Of course, as soon as we found a shady spot we were joined by another woofer who was getting too warm!
I could just murder a drink now!
Of course we were lucky 'cos OTL had our bowl and at one time he loaned it out to another woofer who was trying to get a drink from a dripping tap! The Two Legs filled the bowl up and the woofer stuck his nose in and didn't come up for air!

I must admit, that water tasted great!

Later on in the afternoon we decided that it was getting too hot and headed back to the car where OTL turned on the air conditioning and before long we had all cooled down!

Back home the ferrets were fast asleep and snoring their tails off!

Tomorrow Izzy's mum is off to get some scaffolding for her back so we all wish her well and get better soon.

We are off to bed now, all this walking around the show has made us tired, so it's an early night for us all!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Now this is strange!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Sorry about yesterday but Old Two Legs didn't get in 'til late and was all worn out after his day at the Kent County Show.

He enjoys his day out photographing people and animals.

OK, That's Breakfast and now it's Pimms 'O' Clock!
One time he used to photograph the animals and contestants but he now looks for the 'Funny or Unusual'!

If the ponies don't arrive soon, will we have to jump over those fences?
The Blacksmith stand is always fun and hot and sweaty! It is difficult photographing without flash 'cos the sun is out and they are all in the dark of the smithy.

Still, he tries!
Is my arse on fire?
It was all hot metal and fire and banging and bending and in the end it became a horse shoe!

OK, where's me 'orse?
So, while OTL was playing up at the show ground we were being looked after by The Missus.

We got taken down to the beach and although I wasn't allowed to go in for a swim, I did get a dig in the sand!
Can I have a swim later?
This morning the sun was hiding behind the clouds but it was still warm and muggy!

How can it be cloudy and still so warm?
OTL took us walkies today and without the lead! I thought I was in luck 'cos the tide was in!

I reckon I will get in for a swim today!
Unfortunately, as we got closer to the beach, I got put on the lead!

Not fair!

Wendy and Freddy had some fun but by the time we got back to the car they were both feeling a bit warm, so, OTL gave them a wash in water from the two metal bottles he keeps in the car.

They were soaking but it did cool them down!

It's going to be a hot run back to the car!
The Missus is in trouble, serious trouble.

You see Archie Babe sent his Two Legs, Auntie Elaine, down to TM's Master Class today and when OTL dropped the car off at the village hall TM didn't tell him she was there.

Naughty TM!

Now she is in the Poo for a change!

We are off to the Kent Show tomorrow to visit the Harrietsham Ferret Rescue stand to see the ferrets and say hello to everyone!

See yo all tomorrow with some fun photo's!

Luv,

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

I'm getting better, I think!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Today we were warned that there maybe some storms with thunder and lightning but all we got was a bit of cloud and a gentle breeze!

Mind you, the temperature we have had lately, a gentle breeze was welcome!

Miss May had fun with Holly Dog. The ferrets have a game where they try to creep up behind Holly and give her tail a tweak, today was no different!

Slowly, slowly, catchy Holly!
Holly has been caught once too often and of course she has been growing eyes in her tail!

Oh! No you don't!
The prize for Miss May is a nice warm hole to have a rest in!

This is nice, and out of the wind as well!
Holly met up with some of the 'Lads' on the Sea Wall and they wanted to know how I was and when they would see me again!

It's nice to be missed!

Hey! Where is Dopey Daisy?
Lunchtime I was allowed down on the beach but I had to keep my harness and lead on so that stopped me going in for a dip!

I could really do a Paddle!
Holly plonked herself down on the sand and tried to catch some rays.

Nearly there!
That was until she felt the sand move behind her. She was just thinking of turning around to see what was happening when Freddy got her tail in his mouth

Gotcha!
Of course Freddy was just 'Over The Moon' to have 'got' Holly Chops!

Tomorrow Old Two Legs is going off to the Kent County Show on his own, so we will be taken out by The Missus and if my luck holds, we will be allowed down the beach, even if I do have to stay on the lead!

Now, Izzy's mum is going into hospital to get scaffolding strapped to her spine to stop her legs from hurting, so we have all got our claws crossed that she gets out soon and back to bouncing around!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Sneaky, Sneaky or Wot!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, as you know, I've not been a Happy Puppy having to do my 'Walkies' around the football pitch. I mean, you can get really fed up with cats wee and Yorkie Poo!

It has also upset my tummy 'cos I'm a woofer that likes to hide in the long grass and do my stuff and of course, on a football pitch there is no long grass!

Old Two Legs decided that providing I was a good woofer and didn't cause any trouble, (as if!) I could go with him and Holly for a lunchtime walk on the Sea Wall!

Well, I was a good girls and as soon as we arrived in the long grass, I was off like a rocket and ...................POO!

I'll tell you, two days with no poo can certainly produce results!

It was a good job OTL had bought the 'Large' Poo Bags!

Oh! I needed that!
First thing this morning May and Eric went out down the Sea Wall while I had to wee around the Football field. Miss May did her digging exercises!

It's good for my claws!
Back home OTL was doing his morning chores while the ferrets rampaged around the house and Freddy decided he would raid the Ferretone bottle!

He has discovered that he can lick the bottle top and get the Ferretone to dribble out, providing he gives the bottle a good licking!

My tongue is almost worn out!
Now, we have got lots of mates all over the world but this is the first time we have been introduced to a parrot!

Now this is Mr Rocky and he has just arrived at Christina's. He is a bit of a character, loves having a bath and just loves eating!

A bit like Holly Chops!

Introducing Mr Rocky!
Mr Rocky loves his new home and is getting settled down to his new cage!

Now, we are off to mug OTL 'cos he has just got a cup of tea and some Choc Chip Cookies!

Yum Yum!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Holly Spots a Tsunami!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

I'll tell you wot, this walking around the football pitch is so really BOOOOOOORING!

Holly and May and Eric went off to the beach and I had to stay at home until Old Two Legs got back to take me for a walk ......................around the football pitch..........BOOOOOOORING!

All I get is sniffs from a couple of Yorkies and a Pussy Cat!

Now, when Holly came back from the beach she told me she had seen a Tsunami!

As she and the ferrets headed towards the beach they all noticed that the sea had loads of waves heading towards the shore and behind the waves, it was all calm!

Just look at that lot!
It was all very strange and Eric says that we must have had an earthquake out to sea to cause that sort of wave.

OTL had another suggestion. He reckons that one of the big container ships passed either up stream or down stream and was going at a fair old lick 'cos it threw up loads of waves and of course they were spreading out from the ship and the next bit of land is us, and Southend, and Isle of Sheppy!

The best things was, the ship was nowhere to be seen!

It took a long time for the waves to reach us!

Eric said that it was a good thing the waves were not bigger 'cos they would have run up the beach and given everyone a wash!

No wave here please!
Lunchtime OTL said he felt sorry for me, stuck at home and only getting a walk in the football field on my own.

So he took me out around the football field and brought Holly Chops with us!

It wasn't exactly what I wanted, I wanted the beach!

We both wandered around but our hearts were not really in it and OTL noticed we looked unhappy!

So, he says, 'Shall We See TM?' That was it, we were off like a couple of rockets!

Roll on Saturday at least I'll get a run on the beach!

My leg feels better, I've not needed to limp and every so often OTL gives my leg and paws a stroke, just to see if I jump!

Late this afternoon we should see our new hair clippers arrive, then next OTL plans to get hold of a 'Baby Bath' so that Holly and me can get a bath before a hair cut!

Now this should be fun!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Boring Wee's but Miss Milly get's lucky!

Hi Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, a not very Happy Daisy 'cos I'm still restricted to wandering around the football field while the Gang get to go down the beach and dig holes and sniff sniffs and woof at the woofers they meet on the Sea Wall!

Old Two Legs got his picture of the flowers with some diffused light which proved to be better than yesterdays effort!

Better colours today!
Holly says that she just didn't feel like having a 'Dig and Whizz' even with the ferrets joining in!

No thanks, I'll just have a sniff on my own!
Holly was keeping an eye open for some of our other woofers who, when the turned up, asked how I was doing and if the limp had gone.

Holly said the limp had not appeared today but I was still kept on a lead, for my own good!

OTL, here come the Woofers!
There was Oscar and Max followed by Dylan and Marley the Two Bob Dogs! Next came Bryn and Polly plus a couple that were down here on holiday!

Freddy and Wendy made sure they kept out of the way after a good dig in the sand!

My hole's bigger that a woofers hole!
Hey, wot about the good news?

Brenda has been looking out for a little Yorky Woofer and missed out on Princess coming to live with her. Little Princess it was decided, was going to stay instead of being re homed.

Lucky Princess!

And Lucky Miss Milly, she is a little Yorky that was in need of a forever home and found it with Brenda!

So, there you go, two lucky woofers!

It will be lucky for Archie Babe 'cos he will have a new mate to play with and of course, what can be better than a mate who lives in a Sweet Shop!

See you all tomorrow and with a bit of luck the InterNetty Thing will keep working.

BTW, it is my back leg that is sore, I can still type with my front paws!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

I'm missing out!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well, here I am on my second day of restricted action. Like, I'm not allowed to run or jump and the thought of a good swim is out of the question!

Holly Chops on the other paw is allowed loads of fun and the ferrets are joining in as well!

Mind you, all I got this morning is a slow wander around the football pitch behind the house, not very exciting at all!

It wasn't very sunny to begin with and even Holly said it was cloudy down on the beach!

It can only get better!
Miss May and Eric de Ferret enjoyed themselves by digging a long trench in the sand. May said she prefers digging when it's cloudy 'cos she doesn't get too hot!

'ere! I've got sand up my nose!
Back home Old Two Legs is trying to convince himself to get an Electric Grooming Clipper so that he can give Holly and me a haircut in a couple of weeks. Now don't get me wrong and we know they have put up their prices three times in the last three visits but we don't want to end up with a haircut like wot OTL does on his head.

A Number One all over!

Mind you, if he gets it wrong, we can always grow some more hair and he can have another go until he gets it right!

Miss Wendy found the Ferretone bottle when she was out having her 'Rampage' around the house. It was difficult to get her away from the bottle 'cos the stuff kept on dribbling out and she couldn't stop licking it from the cap!

This is a good game!
Lunchtime the sun came out and I had another walk around the football pitch..........BOOORING!

Holly enjoyed the walk down on the Sea Wall and said 'Hello' to some soppy Bozo who came rushing up, tongue lolling about and then he fell flat on his nose in front of her!

Oh! Please, you don't have any idea how to treat a girl!
OTL got all interested in the flowers in the hedgerow 'cos of the colour but the sun was high in the sky and it made the colours look all washed out!

Wot he needs is an ND Filter!
Holly said it wasn't the same, not having me along to share a sniff with. I know what she means, you really need two noses to fully appreciate the sniff!

It's not the same!
You will be please to know that I have been taking my medicine like a good girl and I was only spotted once doing the 'Limp', claws crossed, it's getting better!

Auntie Jeanette, Izzy's Mum knows all about limping as well 'cos she has got to see the Two Leg Vet and maybe have some work done in the hospital, so it's claws crossed all around for her!

We have been looking at the clippers again, and see the prices vary from £6 right up to £400! Mind you, OTL says we have a lawn mower in the shed we don't use now and maybe that will do the job!

Not on his Nelly!

Mind you, two haircut's and that will pay for the cutter, yeah, that's the way to look at it!

You can tell it's getting serious 'cos OTL has been looking on YooToob at films of doggies getting washed and clipped!

See you all tomorrow!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

Not a Happy Puppy!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here again!

Well today you find me all sort of sad.

I was woken up early this morning 'cos we had to get up the village hall to drop The Missus off for her Master Class. Then it was a case of a quick wee and a poo and then off to the vet to have my leg looked at!

We had a nine fifteen appointment but it was nine forty five by the time I was called in.

It was a different vet to the last one, seems they can't find vets anywhere, just the locum vet!

Well, this one is called Felix and we made sure we didn't crack any funnies about cats!

I was put up on the table and while Old Two Legs held my head and harness, my leg was pulled, pushed, poked and pummelled until I gave a yelp.

Then it was done all again!

In the end Felix agreed there was no grass seed stuck in my paw and he thought maybe I had bruised my paw or leg or even twisted my knee. So, OTL was given some anti inflammatory stuff to shove down my throat and I am supposed to be banned from going out for a walk!

All I got to look forward to is a wee and a poo at the bottom of the garden for a week!

The vet says that if there is still a problem then we will have to look at an x ray to check to see if I have broken any thing in my paw, but as he had poked and pulled my leg without me jumping about in pain, he didn't think that was a possibility!

So, back home we went and OTL got on with all his jobs while I relaxed on the bed trying not to move my leg, just in case I hurt it!

I think that as well as my medicine OTL should have got something for his stabbing pain in the wallet!

I'm off for an early night tonight, I've just had my medicine, mixed up with a little Ferret Milk, so I think bed will do me some good.

At the end of the week I'll have my worming tablet and then I should be back to normal again!

Claws crossed!

See you tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.

I got a Sore Poor Paw!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret here!

Well, it's Friday and the sun has come back again! We were out walking this morning and Old Two Legs even took his jacket off 'cos he was so warm!

The ferrets were not running, more of a steady amble along sniffing the sniffs and keeping an eye open for mouses!

A couple of days ago I went in for a 'Deep Paddle' and when I came out my back paw was hurting me. I couldn't put it on the ground so I lifted it up and sort of hopped along!

OTL noticed this and took a look at it but couldn't see any problems, so he cleaned the sand out of between the pads and off I went on all four paws.

It still didn't feel right but I was big and brave and carried on walking and even jumping up on OTL's lap.

Yesterday evening I was still limping every so often so OTL turned me on my back and took a good look at my paw again. He was poking about in between the pads looking for any grass seed that may have got stuck but he couldn't see anything, it was then he touched a sore spot which made me yelp!

He thought it may be a sprain or something and decided to keep an eye on me.

Today, down on the beach I was having a roll in a sniff when I suddenly yelped again!

OoooooH! That Hurt!
That was it, out came the telephone and OTL had booked me into the vet tomorrow morning at nine fifteen for the vet to have a look.

I don't know how he is going to get near my paw if I won't even let OTL near it!

Maybe they will knock me out with some of what OTL calls 'Doppy Pills' the same one that Holly had to have when she first had a haircut!

I'll let you know what happens tomorrow!

Bye bye for now.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss Wendy, Freddy and Eric de Ferret.
