Sunday

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret here again!

We just love Sunday's here in North Kent!

I mean, nothing much to do, a long snooze on the bed and a walk down by the sea front.

Beats working any day!

Eric came out with us this morning for a run on the football field, he is getting to enjoy the wet grass on his tummy and he has been chasing after Holly and I if we don't get a move on!

Lunchtime we were down the beach again, fighting our way through the packs of visiting woofers and Two Legs.

Of course, I went in for a dip just after the tide had turned!

This is cool!
There were a few TL's on the beach but most of them were up on the hill burning some barbecue packs, sniff super but we didn't get any offers!

For a change there were no kebab sniffs from Southend, just a barbecue over here!
 Old
Two Legs has got something about clouds blowing over the estury and I suppose that they can look pretty, if you like that sort of thing!

Well, I can't see any rain!
When he stops looking at the sky, he has his nose pointed towards the ground and today he spotted a grass hopper trying to hide behind a blade of grass.

Holly wanted to know if she could eat it!
Back home it was snoozy time for us and OTL, he keeps falling asleep listening to an Audio Book on the computer. He is sitting there in the arm chair, with his eyes shut, pretending he is listening when all of a sudden, he is snoring his tail off!

You can tell he is getting old!

See you all tomorrow!

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

The best way of spending Saturday!

Hi Woofers!

We are back again, Daisy, Holly. Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

It was a good feeling we had this morning, waking up knowing there wasn't much work to be done today. Just a few bits of paper to file, the cages to clean, then the rest of the day is ours!

First thing this morning both ferrets were up, bashing away at the cage door and this morning it was Miss Wendy who won first place to come out with us for our morning walk around the football field!

Normally Miss Wendy doesn't bother to come out, preferring to snooze before coming out later for her rampage around the house with Eric.

It was a little damp under paws and she managed to get a wet tummy, just like Eric did the other day.

We got back home and headed off to the bedroom to wait for Old Two Legs to get the chores done.

We tried to get some snooze time in but Wendy kept scratching on the bottom of the bedroom door, keeping us awake and winding Holly Chops up!

Wendy kept calling out that she was running all over the landing while Holly was stuck in the bedroom!

It all finished when Wendy got a little tired and fell asleep in the 'Pinny Box' and Eric headed back to the cage for a wee and OTL locked him in the cage!

Lunchtime Eric was the first up to get his harness on and was banging on the cage to be let out before we had even got there!

Mind you, he got out of the traveling cage and stayed in OTL's arms until we got to the beach where he started to dig a hole in the sea shells that are all over the beach!

Just watch me dig a hole, one, two, threeeeeee!
Now he would have dug a big hole were it not for Holly and I coming back up the beach to see what he was doing and having a sniff at the hole!

Because Holly and I are a little clumsy when we dig holes, like kicking all the sand and sea shells all over the place, Eric decided to leave us to it and headed for the sea wall!

It's warmer up here!
We spotted a squall coming in from the East and decided there was just enough time to get back to the car before it caught up with us!

It will get better by next week!
We met up with Fred, he is one of the keepers of the sea front and he loves riding around on the grass cutter. He and OTL were discussing the lack of moths in the moth traps and saying that it was a bad year for moths so far.

We know that OTL was thinking that if the grass and wild flowers were left alone there would be more insects and stuff on the wild flowers and then more moths!

Maybe they will learn in time!

Enough of this grumbling, we are off to watch a DVD.

See you tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.

Friday Fun!

Hello Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret!

I don't know about you but this morning it was rather wet and damp under paw. We reckon it rained during the night, but we didn't hear a thing, except The Missus snoring her tail off!

We were getting ready to go out this morning when Eric decided he wanted to come out with us! He was rattling the cage door so that the whole cage rocked backwards and forwards!

So, on with his harness and he was sitting on Old Two Legs shoulder as we headed off to the football field behind our house.

The grass was wet and damp and because Eric has got short legs, he ended up with a very wet tummy when he climbed up OTL's leg to get dry by wriggling around in OTL's arms and using his soft coat as a towel!

Our lunchtime walk was fun. There were  loads of Two Legs messing about doing things like fishing or playing 'Kick the Ball'!

While OTL was looking at the TL's I sneaked off for a sniff along the beach and I sort of fell into the water!

Well, it beats chasing balls!
While I was having a paddle, Holly set about woofing at some TL's ahead of us. they were trying to fly one of those kite things, big, flapping thing that got up in the air then crashed onto the beach!

Horrible thing should be banned from beaches!
Once we had got passed all these TL's OTL pointed out the dark clouds ahead of us, looks like rain is on it's way and if we don't get home soon we could end up getting very wet!

Them are rain clouds!
Once we got over the hill and almost into the forest, we stopped for a rest and a look around to see if there were any strange flowers or moths or even birds!

Nothing, the grass had all been cut again and all the insects have been driven off.

OTL seems to be upset about it all but the locals just want grass to sit on. You would think they would sit on the benches instead of the grass, I mean, us woofers wee on the grass but not on the benches!

I haven't wee'd on this bit before!
It's one of the good things about being a woofer, we got a very good sense of smell, much better than TL's, that way we don't sit on wee'd grass!

See you all tomorrow.

Luv,

Daisy, Holly, Miss Wendy and Eric de Ferret.
