Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret back again!

What a day! We were up late, well late as far as the clock said but we go by our own clocks not those silly Radio Controlled LCD Clocks!

We rely on real clocks, our tummies!

So it was, by your reckoning, we left home at nine to go for our morning walk, it was raining.

When we got to the car park, it was sunny!

Of course there was a Rainbow over the Thames!

Where's the Pot Of Gold?

 As we headed off down to the beach the sun came out and I just felt so good..........I had a Roll!

I don't care if I have my coat on!

 We had a game of 'Chase' up and down the beach and Holly said that the Page 3 Girls would have liked the beach today, well that was until it all went dark and the rain started again!

Here comes the rain........Again!

We legged it back to the car and got there just in time before the deluge started!

Back home Wendy spent some time in with Freddy while Old Two Legs cleaned her cage out. There were loads of licks and cuddles but Wendy decided to tell Freddy she was still in charge and she gave him a nip on his ear and started to screech as if she was being attacked!

OTL separated them and put Wendy on the floor!

That sorted her out! 

Lunchtime there was more rain outside our front door and really didn't fancy going out but OTL insisted which once we got to the car park we found it had stopped raining and the sun was out!

We went along the Sea Wall and came across a slug who was out on a training jog. He said that he was planning to enter The Marathon later this year as the only Racing Slug in the field!

 Holly had difficulty in suppressing a giggle and had to run on ahead!

Holly's excuse for going ahead was she spotted a Fishing Contest and she was sure there was food to be mugged!

A Fishing Contest so there must be food!.

Holly was out of luck, no one gave her a nibble!

Not even a sniff of a sarnie!

Once again OTL had decided to leave the ferrets at home because of the rain and Wendy had to go back into her own cage.

It was just as well 'cos when we got to the beach OTL spotted a squall coming down the River Medway and suggested we get back to the car!

Here comes the rain, AGAIN!

 We got back home before it started really pour down! OTL says that tomorrow Storm Katie should blow across us and Holly says that we might have some very short walks!

Back home we got a big bowl of chicken each and after a lovely snooze went back and finished the last few bits of chicken!

Now we are off to have another snooze before dinner is served, OTL's dinner!

Then it's Mugging Time again!

It's The Missus's Birthday Today!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

You know, we were singing Happy Birthday to The Missus this morning and just after four!

We know how to surprise her!

Last night we left Old Two Legs down stairs with a box of bits, a screw driver and a spanner. This morning, there it was all gleaming Yellow and White, an exercise bike!

No, it wasn't a 'Surprise Present' OTL's not that daft!

It is just that TM has decided she is above her BMI (Body Mass Index) and she has decided to loose some weight, just like Holly, only Holly didn't decide, it was OTL and TM and The Vet who decided but Holly can't ride a bike so she is stuck with an absence of nibbles and stuff like that!

TM is going for the absence of nibbles and a half an hour peddle on the bike while watching TV or making a card!

Yesterday TM was in a 'Creative Mood' and that means loads of glue, glitter, ink and other mucky stuff. At the end of the day her hands were stained all the colours of the rainbow and a few more as well!

No matter how much soap and scrubbing she tried it was still on her paws this morning.

There was a second 'Birthday Present' from OTL and this one was a 'Surprise Present'

That soon shifted the inky stains!

Now she has gone off for the day doing demos at the local Craft Shop with clean sparkly paws!

OTL says that as it is her birthday we are going to have a Chinese Takeaway tonight so that means we might get some Crispy Plawns and some Plawn Clackers as well!

It wasn't so warm down on the beach this morning so we stayed well away from the sea!

When we got to the car park, Holly and I rushed off to say 'Hello' to the rabbits leaving OTL to wake up the ferrets.

May was not a Happy Ferret!

Do You Mind! We wuz Sleeping!

It wasn't hole digging weather so the ferrets were only interested in a wee and back in the bag again!

OK, where's the bag?

OTL said that they are both in need of a walk to keep them fit and also to keep their claws in trim!

OK, up the top of the hill we get a carry, Right?

OTL did pick them both up but it was only because Poppy and Beau  came rushing up to say hello!

OTL took a shot of Sheerness across the river, so you can see it is not the weather to hang around!

It could be rain!

 Back home it was 'Clear Up Time' so Holly and I headed for our cushions while OTL played with the ferret poo!

Lunchtime arrived and OTL woke Freddy up to go for his run, Freddy said he would rather stay in his bed!

OTL wasn't having any of that, so, off we went for a drafty walk!

OK, here is a little dig, just for you!

 Freddy dug a little hole, just so he can say he has been busy on the beach! Then he got half way up the hill and told us all that....................

Me Back Legs Have Gone!

 You know he shows off rotten when no one takes any notice!

Near to the top of the hill Freddy came across a Weasel sniff that was just oozing out of the ground!

Now that's what I call a sniff!

Being that it is the time for baby Weasels and the like, you get to expect all these 'Signpost Sniffs' I suppose all animals do it really, except Two Legs.

When you think about it, it's a wonder they ever produce babies, I mean, how they tell it is breeding time I'll never know!

Holly and I are sitting up at the bedroom window waiting for the 'Birthday Girl' to arrive back from her inky day.

Then as soon as she has used the Swarfega we'll all be off to the Chinese for some Plawn Clackers!

A Very Good Friday!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and our mate Freddy de Ferret here again!

We were out good and early this morning and we all enjoyed the super sunshine on the beach.

Old Two Legs was still keeping a good eye on me and wouldn't let me near the pile of smelly on the beach.

So, Holly and I enjoyed a general sort of sniff along the high tide mark!

I know it's over there but I'm not allowed!

 Miss May had another chat to the bit of tree trunk that has been washed up on the beach for the last fer days. It was supposed to have floated away but decided to stay, just for the Easter Holiday!

OK, but next week you are off, OK?

 April has been full of fun today, she had a big game of 'Chase' with her sister and even had a gentle walk up the hill.

OK, but I go at my own speed!

 On the way back to the car we spotted a dead rat on the path that was providing a couple of crows with a sustaining meal. OTL told us to keep away but make a note of what the rat looks like.

Well, it looks like it was got by a terrier type of dog and the crows had just started to tear it to bits!

Not a pretty sight!

Back home OTL cleaned all the cages out and changed all the bedding. He had to take the bedding into the garden and brush off all the fur that had been shed 'cos the ferrets are all moulting at the moment and there is piles of fur everywhere!

The Missus put all the bedding in the washing machine and soon it was all out on the clothes thingy in the garden drying off in the sunshine!

It was a good thing that the sun has been shining all day 'cos at lunchtime we were down on the beach again and I went in for a swim!

The warm sun stopped me from getting too cold and a nice warm towel in the car helped dry me off as well!

 Freddy was sniffing along the beach and was getting a bit close to the waves. OTL told him to be careful of the waves and what did he say?

They're not Waves, they're Ripples!

 Well that's not what he said the next time a 'Ripple' washed his tummy for him!

Yikes! I've been Wetted!

 A roll in the grass soon dried him off and we all headed back to the bench where OTL tried another 'Selfie' with Freddy.

Still not right!

 Never mind, one day he'll get it!

Now, about that dead rat.

No it's not the one from our garden, our Ratty is keeping out of the trap!

This rat got killed last night or early this morning and has been providing the crows with a meal.

When we passed it on the way back home all that was left was the skin and some bones!

The crows had eaten the rest!

We on the other paw dined very well on lambs heart!


Holly said that she counted a number of tins of Doggy Scoff in the food cupboard so next week there is a chance we will starve again!

Wendy gets her belly looked at!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Fall Over Freddy de Ferret here!

It's the last working day before Easter and as normal, Old Two Legs has been rushing around like a ferret with it's tail on fire!

We got a 'Fast Walk' this morning on the beach and then it was back to the car 'cos there was a big order that just had to be shipped today!

I mean, they are not going to get delivery until Tuesday and more than likely they will have a few extra days off anyway. So, whats the rush?

These Two Legs really must get their priorities in order!

Well, to add a little bit more fun to the occasion, I found this whacking great pile of poo that was calling to me!

I had a sniff,

Then I had another sniff and, well, one thing led to another and I was tied up in the back of the car and taken home where I got washed from the top of my nose to the tip of my tail!

Just get a load of this!

Was it worth it?

You Betcha it was!

Lunchtime I got the 'Woofers Warning' from OTL, so I stayed out of trouble and just sniffed around with Freddy!

Mmmm Ferret Wee!

 Freddy was having fun as well. After seeing me go for a swim he decided today was the day when he would try the water as well.

Now, he wasn't really deep enough for swimming but it was certainly some Deep Paddling!

This tastes Muddy!

 He was having a great time running around in the water. It was a good job there weren't any large waves or he might have got washed out to sea!

He found a rock buried in the sand and spent some time trying to work out if it would do as a Weeing Rock!

Well, it's big enough but how do you get up there?

 In the end he left it and raced off after OTL and up the grass path.

He tried a couple of 'Roll Overs' but no one was taking any notice so he tried the old 'Sad Eye' look and that worked for a little while but as soon as he got to the bench, he had to run the rest of the way on his own paws!

I only want a Little Carry!

 During the afternoon OTL took Wendy down to see the nurse at the vets to have her belly looked at. The nurse said she was very pleased with the healing and that Wendy won't have a big scar, all of which pleased OTL and Wendy!

They have got to go back in seven days but we don't expect any problems to appear!

OTL managed to get all the stuff down to the carriers and now he just has to clear up all the paperwork!

ow, Holly and I have been having a chat about young Archie Babes problem. We mean that bad mannered Bozo who thinks it is OK to mess up a Woofers Toy Box, Pinch his 'Treat Ball' and then mess up his Blanket!

So we got this idea.

Wot you do is to wait until the next time he comes visiting and the Two Legs are busy gassing. Then you sneak over to where he is sitting, do a big wee on the carpet next to where he has plonked himself.

Then get Mr Nipper to scream out and point towards the wet patch and the Bozo while you are tucked up pretending to be asleep on your cushion!

He will get Doggy Scoff for a month!

Now, is that sneaky enough or wot?

We were in the office when OTL ordered up our anti tick stuff and he had to describe me 'cos it has always been Holly who had her name on the form!

OTL said he was going to describe me as a Smelly Woofer but in the end put down Dog!

Have a good time over Easter and claws crossed for some good weather!

The Holidays are getting closer!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Well, we had a special delivery today and it was a 'First' for us!

Now you know we always get some anti Tick stuff to put onto our shoulders? Well. Old Two Legs gets it well before we go away so that we can have a dose a month in advance and another in the month we go away.

Normally it is Holly that gets named on the prescription and it get doubled up. This time however, OTL has done some calculating  and has worked out that it is better (cheaper) to get two prescriptions and double the stuff and that will do for our autumn holidays as well!

Well, all this High Finance Thingy has resulted in not only Holly getting a prescription in her name but at the same time I get one in my name!

Dead Posh!

Down on the beach April spent some time playing 'Bulldozers' in the sand and she was using her nose to shift the sand!

This means that when she paused for breath there was loads of sand in her fur.

Not that this bothers a ferret, she gave herself a big shake and the sand flew everywhere!

Stand by for a sand storm!

We noticed that May had found herself a really smelly pile of sniff in a bunch of sea weed. Of course, being a ferret and an Honorary Woofer what more do you expect from her?

A REALLY GOOD ROLL!

She wriggled and rolled and slid down the sea weed pile several times, just to make sure the sniff got right into her fur!

This is how it's done!

 When she had finished, she slid all the way down the pile and landed in a heap at the bottom!

Guess wot I sniff of?

 OTL said he wouldn't go near her until she had rolled some of that sniff off her back on the grass!

Back home we got presented with Doggy Scoff!

I Mean! Just wot is the matter with The Missus? She might just as well take the money from her purse and throw it in the dustbin, that way it would save all the messing about in the middle!

We hear that OTL has got sausages tonight, so there is going to be some serious mugging this evening!

Lunchtime Freddy de Ferret was dragged out of his bed to go for a walk. Now, dragged is not an exaggeration, OTL pulled him out and Freddy did his famous 'Dead Ferret' trick!

This is thing that some ferrets do. You lift them out of their sleeping bag and they don't wake up, they remain all floppy, no matter what you do to them.

OTL has in the past blown a big wet raspberry on Freddy's tummy and even that didn't wake him!

It is only the sniff of a Ferretone bottle waved under his nose that wakes him up!

OTL first saw this with Snowflake not long after she came to live with us. At first OTL got all worried and had believed that Snowflake was dead!

It was a good job he saw her take a breath or she might have ended up in flower pot before her time!

Ever since then OTL has been wise to that trick!

Not that it stops Freddy from trying!

He even did it on our walk but he hasn't worked out how to keep his eyes closed and squint through one eye just to see what OTL is going to do!

Honest! I can't move any of them!

You've got to admit, he does try!

Right, we are off to see if there is a big sausage with our names on it!

I wonder, can you get sausages on prescription and could we add them to our anti tick stuff?

First Swim of The Year!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret.

Wot a Super Day today!

It started off with The Missus taking us out for our morning run 'cos Old Two Legs had to clear out the ferrets and be out to visit a customer by nine forty five!

OTL had three cages to clear 'cos Wendy has a small cage all to herself until the vet says she can go back in with Freddy Boy.

She said she slept well and didn't hear Freddy snoring at all!

OTL inspected Wendy's operation and said it was the best one he had ever seen! It looked a little bruised but no more than expected!

Wendy had a visit from Freddy but OTL kept hold of him and the pair of them had a nuzzle and they both licked the back of each others neck!

All together now, Aaaaaah!

OTL managed to get back by midday so we invited Freddy to come along with us especially as the sun was shining and it was warm!

Down on the beach Holly said she wanted to catch a few 'Rays' and settled down on the warm sand.

Should I put on some Factor 35?

 I went off searching for more ferret sniffs that I may have missed yesterday.

Ferret or Weasel?

 Freddy was having a great time play Bulldozers in the warm sand and he was dead chuffed that the sand was not only warm but soft as well!

This is The Business!

 OTL found a super stick and threw it out into the sea. Off I went and I managed my first swim of 2016!

First swim of the season!

 OTL said that now he will have to keep a Doggy Towel in the car to dry me down if this is how I'm going to behave all summer!

You bet I am!

Freddy didn't fancy a swim and nor did Holly.

Freddy went back to digging trenches and using his nose as a shovel!

It's just so warm!

 On the way back Freddy managed to blag a ride and he even got a cuddle when we stopped at the bench on top of the hill.

OTL tried to take some pictures of Freddy and him having a cuddle but his arm kept on getting in the way and wot made it worse, he couldn't find the 'Delay' button so they could pose!

I think I look better without OTL!

OTL was trying some flash and then some other setting on the camera and in the end even Freddy was getting bored!

I'm falling asleep here, can we go back to the car?

Back home Miss Wendy was fast asleep but she was sleeping under the cushion bed instead of on top!

What ever turns you on!

TM has got the sniffles, so it is good that we aren't going away over Easter! Mind you, a run along a big sandy beach would be a great way of spending Easter!

Mind you, it's not too long before we are off on our Spring Holiday and a sure sign it is close is when OTL gets our 'Anti Tick' drops to put on our shoulders!

We get a prescription from the vet and buy the stuff 'On Line'. OTL asked the vet what it would cost if he purchased it from the vet and it turned out over double what he pays 'on line'!

Just for once OTL was saving money!

Right we're off to see what is for dinner!

Spring iz Sprung, The Grass is Riz, I Wunder where the Bunnies Izz?

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April Miss (I gotta sore tummy) Wendy and of course, Freddy de Ferret here!

Another exciting day.

Miss Wendy got taken to the vets first thing this morning to get prepared for her operation.

May and April missed out on their morning walk 'cos Wendy had the travelling cage all to herself for her visit!

So, that means we get to choose where to go for our walk and we didn't have to worry about Freddy falling over or May fighting with Holly for possession of a sand hole or April sneaking back into the bag or Wendy telling Freddy off 'cos he was too slow!

It was just Holly and me and Old Two Legs on our own, doing the 'Long Walk' all along the Sea Wall and back again!

Mind you, we were all a bit worried about Wendy and her operation and the 'Knock Out Drops'.

So, it was great when Old Two Legs got a phone call from the vets to say the operation went well and Wendy had been awake, eating and drinking and had just gone back to sleep again!

Down on the beach we had a game of 'Hunt the Ferret'. Now this is a sniffing game 'cos we have to  not only find a ferret sniff but we have to name which ferret it is!

Now, Freddy is no problem and  Wendy is easy, but May and April are really only for the 'Expert Sniffers'!

Being sisters it is very hard to separate them and it's only Aprils medication that gives a hint!

Phew! This one is a Freddy Bomb!

We really needed the ferrets here with us to confirm our sniff  'cos they know their sniffs just a bit better than us woofers!

This is a May, I think!

Lunchtime we met up with three strangers on the Sea Wall and while we sat on the beach looking at them, they were all going potty woofing at us and OTL!

They really thought they were the 'Dogs Whatsits' and one even said she would 'Sort us all out'

Yeah! As if!

I'm a Big Mean Woofing Machine!

We all thought they were terribly rude and turned our tails towards them which in Doggy Speak is a big insult!

That sorted them out!

It's strange that just 'cos it's the second day of Spring, the blossom seems to have burst out all of a sudden.

Of course, OTL just had to take a picture to prove it!

He needs his Macro Lens really!

 When he had finished with the blossom the next bit was the buds bursting out!

Buds Bursting Out All Over!

Just to show we are just as good as the flowers, Holly and did some posing up on the bench at the top of the hill.

First it was Holly.

 Then I did a pose but I must admit, Holly has 'That Look' where I just seem to glare!

In the afternoon OTL had to go out to do some work but half way through the job he left off to pickup Wendy and take her home.

She was very sleepy and OTL has made her up a super soft bed in one of the holiday cages so she can be quiet and snoozy and get some peace and quiet for a few days.

She has some medication OTL has to give her 'an hour after eating'!

Just how do you make a ferret eat?

No, neither does OTL or us!

So, in the morning he will try her with a bit of Chicken Strip and mix the medicine in a drop of Lactose Free Milk and see what happens!

This stuff is to help calm down any sore bits she may have and wot is worse, it is meant for cats!

Holly said something we sort of noticed but didn't notice, if you know what I mean.

The Spring is here but the rabbits seem few and far between.

We used to see loads of them and have great fun chasing them around all the bushes but over the last two weeks or so we have been lucky to see one!

Where have all the Bunnies gone?

The First Day of Spring!

Hello Woofers!

It's Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and 'Cuddles' Freddy de Ferret!

Well, what a day!

A little chilly to begin with but it brightened up later in the day.

We saw on the computer that this day is officially the First Day of Spring! So, does that mean the weather will be warm and dry and I can go swimming every day and Old Two Legs will be hunting 'Solder Beetles' with his camera and we get to chase more Bunnies?

Maybe!

We met up with Holly's Heart Throb, Big Bert! of course, she was straight up to him and started to play The Tart, as normal! You know she can be sooo embarrassing sometimes!

Holly Tarting Around!

Both May and April said they could sniff Weasels and that was a sign that they had started the Spring Ceremony of 'Hunt a Jill'!

April said that while it was interesting, if we didn't mind, she would stay in the Ferret Bag!

Back home The Missus called us into the kitchen and presented us with our food bowls full of Doggy Scoff!
 
Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk. Yuk, Yuk!

Holly and I headed off to our beds and spent a couple of hours grumbling that The Missus really hates us!

OTL cleared all the cages and he spotted Miss Wendy climbing up the Page 3 Girls cage and started to dance on top and calling them rude names!

Ya Boo Rat Chops!

Of course, she went into the 'Naughty Cage' just to teach her to behave!

After the cleaning OTL sat down to watch the recording of the F1 race which was full of  incidents and one almighty crash which was a bit scary but in the end there were no injuries, which is good news!

Now I did my normal trick of waiting until we got to the last ten laps when I started to 'Talk' to OTL saying that I really needed to go out for a wee!

That was it, he hit the 'Pause' button and took us all out!

We found a tennis ball on our way to the beach and Holly and I started to bury it in the sand, then we would dig it up again only to dig a deeper hole and bury it again!

This time the ferrets joined in the game and some were digging deeper holes!

Come on, Our Turn!

What we didn't tell them was that we had removed the ball!

Quick sit on the ball!

Mind you, that didn't stop Freddy and Wendy from having a great time digging a deep hole!

Who needs a ball? We got Claws!

Of course, after the hole digging I went in the water for a little paddle, much to OTL's disgust 'cos the water was all cloudy with mud and stuff that had come down the river!

I didn't care and even went in for a second and third paddle pretending the cold water had made my ears go deaf!

As we headed back to the car, Freddy decided he wanted a carry 'cos his legs were almost all worn away after all that digging!

Honest, my legs have seized up!

Not that we believed him at all 'cos he has played that trick too often!

Then he tried it again as we got near to the top of the hill and this time he said his tummy was sore as well from scraping along the ground!

That's it, I'm done for! I'm seizing up all over!

OTL gave him a little carry, but only as far as the top of the hill. Not because of his supposed injuries but just for his cheek!

Back home OTL was able to watch the last ten laps while I went off to finish my bowl of Scoff.

It was horrid but I was just a little hungry. Mind you, TM will not get any cuddles tonight from Holly or me!

That will teach her!
