Bye Bye Lucy.

Hello Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

We have had a good day down on the beach today but this afternoon we heard that Lucy, (Woofer with Woolly Jumper) suffered a heart attack and has slipped away. Such sad news on such a sunny day.

Lucy has not been well for a little while now and has been putting up a brave fight. We know what it's like to lose one of the pack and our thoughts are with her family.

Down on the beach this morning we found a sand castle that had been left there over night.

Sand Castle or the start of a Mott-and-Bailey?

Holly, who is into ancient monuments reckons it is a Mott & Bailey but May says it is a sand castle and the best thing to do with a sand castle is to jump all over it!

This is wot you do!

 I must admit, it certainly looked like a sand castle, so I jumped in to help!

I'll under mine it from here!

 It wasn't too long before we reduced it down but we left the last bit for Miss April to finish off!

Come on April, it's your turn!

 April is all for some fun and jumped on top and was kicking the sand all over the place! I got covered and so did May but it was good to see April enjoying herself!

Going, Going, Flat!

 Back home The Missus had prepared some chicken for us, so it was 'Nose Down and Tail Up' until it had all gone!

While we were sorting the chicken out, Old Two Legs was clearing the ferret cages. I know what I would rather be doing!

Miss May thinks it great fun to sneak up on OTL when he is on his knees and his head inside the cage. She comes charging into the office and jumps on his back and runs up to his shoulders and back down again!

Poor OTL always gets caught out and ends up banging his head on the cage!

Lunchtime we decided to go out a little earlier 'cos OTL and TM wanted to watch the F1 Racing that had been recorded.

Freddy and Wendy were awake and waiting and pretty soon we were back on the beach again with Holly and I sniffing the sniffs while the ferrets played Bulldozers in the sand!

Brrm, Brrm!

 Holly reckoned that the ferrets had a super way of diving in with their noses and digging into the sand.

So, she was going to have a go!

In she went.

Not exactly Ferret Fashion but she tried. In the end there was more sand up her nose and in her eyes!

Well, I tried!

 I wasn't so daft as to try, instead I found a bit of sun dried sea weed and had a chew while Freddy started to build 'Freddies Wall'.

It's a bit like Hadrian's Wall but smaller!

This is how it's done!

Back home we had a snooze while the F1 Racing was on. There were some crashes and bits falling off the cars but in all it was a good race, as far as F1 goes!

I think that Russia is the next host, so that should be fun!

The Revenge of The Sniff!

Hi Woofers!

Us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Fabulous Freddy de Ferret!

Have we had some fun today!

Old Two Legs has been playing about with bits of paper again and Holly and I have been helping him, sort of!

Well, we reckon that if we jump up on his lap, lick his nose then kick all the paperwork on the floor he might forget about paper and come and have some fun with us and the ferrets!

We got him out early, or rather The Missus did 'cos she wanted to get up the village hall for her 'Croppy Thingy', she gets so excited when she knows she will get to slap some glue about!

Down on the beach we decided it wasn't going to be sunny or warm so after Miss April had finished her wee, we headed back to the car!

OK, Finished!

 You can see what we mean about the weather, those clouds look like they could hold some rain!

It looks sort of Damp!

We saw a couple of cats but remembering what happened to Archie Babe, we decided that we would stick to rabbits, well at least they run in straight lines!

We met up with some new Bozo Woofers who we just visiting but we said 'Hello' and then warned them about May and April being 'Killer Ferrets' who only eat Bozo Woofers!

You should have seen them run back to their car!

Lunchtime walk was about the same, a few rabbits and still the threat of rain so we got back as soon as possible and settled down to watch the F1 racing. Actually it was the 'Practice Sessions' but you should have seen the rain! It was coming down in bucket loads!

OTL said that he would watch the Qualifying tonight when TM gets back, so we will look forward to watching that while OTL has his diner and Holly and I have our 'Weekend Rawhide Chew'!

Let's hope the weather is better tomorrow both here and in China then we can have some fun on the beach and get back in time to watch the recording of the race before lunchtime!

Poor Sore Archie Babe!

Hi Woofers!

It's us again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and of course, Freddy de Ferret!

Now, all together..................Ooh! Ouch! Nasty! Poor Woofer! Soppy Archie Babe!

What a thing to happen to a woofer! I mean, cat chasing is OK but to twist yer cruciate ligament as you turn a corner!

I mean, wot a soppy thing to do!

We are all sitting here waiting for the news and hope it doesn't hurt too much. Get some pain killers from the vet and retire to bed and get waited on by the Two Legs!

Don't forget, a really sad face and no laughing!

Talking of laughing. We were down on the Sea Wall and surprised to see the sea was dead calm, I mean, not a wave to be seen!

In The Centre Of A High Pressure Area!

 Holly reckons it was due to high pressure and OTL says it's because there is no wind!

Mind you, we had more to think about today, it's 'Bath and Hair Cut' time!

Holly reckons we should make them earn their money by having a good roll in every pong we could find, so we made a careful note of each sniff as we headed for the beach.

Phew! That will be a good one for the way back!

We had finished our walk and managed to get a roll or two in some wet pong! That will give them something to sniff when we're in the cages waiting for our turn!

Didn't it just! There was a little Jack Russell who was howling because he couldn't sniff like us!

He drove everyone in the parlour potty with his howling!

We met up with Sid the Sprinting Slug who was out for a jog before the rain really got going. We told him that the ferrets decided not to come out this morning 'cos it was too wet!

Can't stop I'm being timed!

He said they didn't know what they were missing!

Holly said they did and that's why they are at home!

We were dumped off at The Parlour and there was a cat in the waiting room, in it's travelling cage waiting to be boarded and it was his first time, so Holly and I told him about the  Phantom Woofing Cat Eater that stalks the cages looking for fat cats to eat!

Old Two Legs told us off and told us not to tell porkies, as if, I mean, telling scary stories to cats is a lot safer than chasing them, ask Archie Babe!

Mid afternoon OTL finally came to collect us and it was straight off down to the beach for a run and a woof!

We were up for a run on the beach but OTL caught us at the to[p of the stairs, so we had to stand still for a photo!

Come on, we haven't got all day!

Back home to some Lambs Heart and a snooze under OTL's desk!

Another fun day!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret are here!

We have had a fun day today. Holly and I got a teeth cleaning chew after breakfast and Holly decided to give hers to Old Two Legs to hide until we got back from our walk!

She is very trusting with OTL and her chews. I said she should give it to me to look after but she told me to Woof Off!

Down on the beach we went with May and April who were having fun digging in the sand again.

We had just started when Polly Dog arrived and sat down to watch the ferrets.

Now she is absolutely besotted with May and April and even put 'A Ferret' on her Christmas List but got a Rubber Bone and a new lead instead! 

They are so sweet!

Back home Holly didn't rush in to see what The Missus had prepared for our mid morning snack, instead she went off to get the chew OTL had put in a safe place for her!

So, the morning was full of invoices and counting stock and generally messing about, well OTL was, Holly and I just went to sleep on our cushions!

Lunchtime it was back down the beach. The weather wasn't up to much and the sun was hiding for most of the time but Holly tried to catch some rays while Wendy was investigating a plastic cup that had contained some funny sniffy stuff. Holly, being such a clever knickers, said that it once contained beer, a silly drink that the Two Legs brought down to the beach to drink instead of fresh water!

Yeah, it's called beer and it gives you the wind!

Freddy wanted to have a sniff but Wendy wouldn't let him get too near, you know what a silly ferret he can be sometimes and Wendy reckons he would want to take the plastic cup home with him!

OTL was playing around with the shower and the heating system and filling a bucket up with water to check on air bubbles or summat. Freddy just couldn't keep away, every time OTL threw him out of the bathroom, back he would come and in the end OTL let him loose in the shower, just to teach him a lesson!

Freddy got a good towelling down to get him dry again!

You can tell that ferrets are related to otters!

Mind you, not all ferrets like water or are as daft as Freddy Boy!

Sand Castles R Us!

Hi Woofers!

Here we are again, Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

It's been another super day here in North Kent. We had to stay clear of any poo we might come across but after yesterdays fun and games we decided that getting washed all over just wasn't for us!

Breakfast was fun, Little Miss Wendy was charging about all over the place. She had got the pickle in her and was chasing not only Freddy but she chased Old Two Legs as well!

The only time she stopped was when she found out that there was some Ferretone leaking out of the bottle and of course, she just had to stop and clear it up!

I like clearing up Ferretone!

 I think she was being a bit crafty 'cos she kept running past the bottle and giving it a push so a few more drips ran out and of course, she just had to stop and clear it up again!

Oh dear! Another couple of drips have come out!

That Miss Wendy is getting a right sneaky ferret!

Down on the beach we found some sandcastles that had been made by some young Two Legs. Miss May had a great time running around the castle and making a moat around the outside!

Ooops! I got dizzy and fell over!

April was digging a hole and having a great time getting sand all over her head as she stuck her nose into the sand and played 'Bulldozers'!

OTL had to go out to see one of his customers so Holly and I stayed on the bed enjoying a well deserved snooze!

The Missus took us out for a quick 'Wee Walk' in the fields behind the house and we spotted loads of butterflies amongst the rape plants that had come into bloom.

When OTL got back we went out again and the ferrets came along as well.

We showed Freddy where the sandcastles were and I rolled over one and flattened all the shells and a stick that was sticking out the top!

Look! I'm a castle crusher!

Freddy said I was a 'Hooligan' and he would tell OTL and get me in trouble! Poor Freddy, he does like his 'Ancient Monuments'!

Come on! I've left this one for you!

Down on the beach we had Two Legs stop to look at the ferrets and there were all the normal questions, like, do they bite?

Yes, but only when they are eating!

Do they smell?

No, not unless you upset them!

Can I stroke them?

Yes, but take your gloves off first!

There was one mother who had seen us all before but today she had brought her daughter down today just to show her what a ferret is!

Back home to a snooze before mugging OTL for some nibbles!

Did you read how Archie Babe banged his head again? Wot a Plonker! After us telling him not to waggle his head about, what does he do? Waggle his head!

Holly says that he deserves to be kept out of the bedroom if only for self preservation!

In the Poo, again!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret here again!

Wot a fun day it has been!

It started this morning when we got to the beach, just after the sun got up but it was hidden behind some clouds.

Looks like it could be a good day!

April was full of it and had a great time digging holes on the beach.

I'd prefer it if it was dry!

Holly and I found a buried sniff that had great promise but OTL wouldn't let us excavate it and he insisted we leave it alone!

Spoil sport!

Hey! There's a Serious Sniff here!

It was great to get on the beach and roll around in the Sea Kale and some doggy sniffing stuff!

We had loads of sun shine, loads of digging on the beach and....................loads of poo!

Just wot a woofer wants in life!

It started off this morning when Old Two Legs noticed I had 'The Grubby Butt' after a runny poo caused by some rabbit droppings I had nibbled on on Monday!

You know, a typical Woofer thing!

Well, when we got back to the car he had to attend to my backside in case I sat on his seat!

Needless to say, I got a good wash when we got home and ended up with a Soggy Butt!

They do find some really smelly sniffs!

 May wasn't impressed 'cos she wanted Ferret Sniffs and they were found on the Grass Path!

Just for a change, we had some Lambs Heart instead of Doggy Scoff and both Holly and I settled down to a good snooze. We were wondering how long it will be before OTL came back from a job he had to do at one of his customers.

Finally he arrived and we were off as soon as he put his brief case down!

Now, in the rush to get down the beach, Miss Wendy didn't go to the loo before we left and while cuddled up with Freddy in OTL's arms, she got 'Caught Short and pooed down the front of OTL's jacket!

OTL had to use his hankie to not only wipe the poo off his jacket but he had to give her butt a wipe as well!

So, that was OTL in the poo and Wendy in the poo and then I found a big pile of really smelly poo and, yes, I had a roll!

So, that was me in the poo as well!

Back home, OTL's coat went straight in the washing machine together with his hankie and then his trousers 'cos they had been 'Splashed'!

Freddy said that he reckons Wendy should go in the machine as well but OTL said that was not going to happen!

I got washed, I got washed from the tip of my tail to the tip of my nose  and I was soggy all over. Soapy water was dripping off my nose, my tummy and my tail!

In the end I was sniffing like a real Tart and after being dried I got chased around the house by Holly who thought it great fun to tell me off for getting caught!

So, here we are, clean, washed and smelly!

Now, wot a plonker Archie Babe is, I mean, have a dig by all means but just mind where you put you head!

We hope it has stopped hurting and you have learnt a lesson, don't waggle your head when digging!

I Love Mondays!

Hi Woofers!

It's us! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and The Famous Freddy de Ferret!

Monday mornings we get a chance to chase a rabbit or six! Today, Holly went off sniffing at the sign post, so I had plenty of time to do my 'Sneaky' attack!

This is where I stand still and pretend to be a bush or a plant or maybe a bench!

Of course, Silly Knickers Holly has to come and spoil it by rushing past me woofing her tail off!

Down on the beach May and April were having fun digging holes and rolling in the Sea Kale. I really don't know what it is they love about the stuff 'cos it still sniffs of cabbage to me!

Oooooooo! This is Soooooo Goooooood!

Miss May had been playing with the small bunch of Sea Kale. The last tide it was a rather high 'Spring Tide' that had washed right up the beach and nearly washed away the Sea Kale.

May was doing her thing but in a moment of sheer joy, she fell out of the Sea Kale and rolled down the ledge of Cockle Shells!

OK, Who Did That?

We headed home to find The Missus had cooked us some chicken which Holly and set about straight away!

To finish it off we both got a treat of a Teeth Cleaning Chew each!

I took mine up to Old Two Legs office and would you believe that Freddy tried to get a taste of it!

Fat chance!

Lunchtime Freddy and Wendy were down the beach with us and having a great time digging holes. At one point we could hear him shouting down the hole!

Oi! Can you lot hear me?

Holly asked who he was calling and he replied 'The Aussies'!

Some hope! They were all in bed!

Holly and I had a great time doing a 'Dash and Whizz' up and down the beach!

Catch me if you can!

Miss Wendy was shifting some sand when Freddy came up for a sniff and was told that the sniff was more than likely 'Woofer Wee!'

Watch it, you'll get it up your nose!

Back home OTL has been playing on the computer getting some invoices out to his customers, just so they won't forget to pay him some money so he can buy us our chews!

All the ferrets have got a liking for our chews and Freddy is the biggest fan of them. I've seen him sitting in his bed with the chew in his claws gnawing away and with a big grin on his chops!

I remember that Archie Babe pinched Holly's chew when he was last down here! Holly tried to hide it but Archie was just too quick for her!

We hear that Archie Babe is managing to get rid of his itchy bits! Holly says it is divine retribution 'cos he nicked her chew!

Keep yer tail up Archie Babe and you can have half of my chew the next time you visit, that is HALF not all of it!

Sun Shine and April goes Walkies!

Hi Woofers!

Us again! Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and Freddy de Ferret!

We were up early today,we had to, The Missus was snoring her tail off!

You know, I didn't think that Double Glazing windows weren't supposed to rattle!

They obviously haven't come across TM before!

Old Two Legs has even got a man to visit to re-hang the doors and windows to see if that will stop them rattling when TM is in 'Full Song'!

April decided that she was well enough to come on the walk this morning and it may have something to do with OTL increasing slightly, her dose of Diuretic as suggested by the vet. What ever it was, she has a little more sparkle to her tail now!

I love making a mess!

 While we were down there we met up with Bailey, Max and Oscar. Then we spotted Barney II coming up from the beach and he had to show us just how much sand he had got in his coat by rolling in the dry sand!

Hey Girls! Get a Load of This!

 On our way back from the beach we bumped into Bert and of course Holly did what she normally does and wound up Bert something rotten!

Come On! Catch me if you can!

 It was then that April, from the safety of the ferret bag, suggested we change Holly's name to .........

Holly de Tart!

Back home we got given some 'Free Sample' Doggy Scoff that came through the post. No, I don't know how they know where we live or how many woofers there are here but these two packets landed on the mat.

Now, just when are you Two Legs going to get it? I mean, Doggy Scoff is Doggy Scoff and it doesn't matter what packet of tin you put it in, it's still DOGGY SCOFF and IT TASTES YUK!

I didn't eat mine and Holly has only had a couple of nibbles.

Lunchtime arrived and off we went again. Holly said that the TL's would be gathering around the cafe so with a bit of luck we might get a nibble or two!

However, just in case, can she take her chew with her?

Pleeeese, Can I take it with me?

No such luck, and what is worse, everyone was sitting in their cars eating and wouldn't answer the woof at the door, no matter how loudly Holly woofed!

It was low tide and there was no one on the beach, which means fun for us all!

Freddy went in for some digging while Holly and I set about the sniffs. Little Wendy was diving in and out of the Sea Kale and calling out 'Look At Me'!

Look! Hide a Ferret!

 Back home Freddy and Wendy finished off the Doggy Teeth Cleaning Chew OTL had slipped them this morning while Holly and I weren't looking!

Sneaky OTL!

Holly and I went off to find a window where the sun was shining through so we could have a snooze before diner time!

That Doggy Scoff is still there, Holly has decided it is horrid and The Missus is trying to poison us!

I think we will just waste away!

A Day of Sniffs!

Hello Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and not forgetting Freddy de Ferret are here again!

Old Two Legs was up very early this morning, he had loads of stuff to do before we went out, like clean the ferrets cages as well as have breakfast!

You see it is one of those 'Master Class Days' and The Missus wanted the little car to get all the stuff up the hall and OTL was instructed to collect a couple of 'Students' from the railway station in Strood just before nine!

We decided to leave May and April in bed after they had their run around. Well, it was not really a run around. April had a wander about after her medications and ended up in one of the drawers where she sort of fell asleep!

May on the other paw was trying to start a war with Wendy through the bars of Wendy's cage. Now Silly Wendy got caught by May through the bars who was hanging onto the back of her neck with her teeth!

OTL had to prise them apart and May ended up in the 'Naughty Cage' before being put back in her clean cage, where she then set about kicking the bedding all over the place!

So, there was OTL, on his knees, inside Wendy's cage, clearing up the nights evidence when there was a big kerfuffle over at May's cage.

There was Wendy and May having 'Tooth Fencing Warfare' through the cage bars!

Now it was Wendy's turn for the 'Naughty Cage'!

OTL was having no nonsense this morning, he had too much to do!

Off we went down to the beach, in the big car and as May and April were at home, we had a chance to chase a rabbit or two and hunt some sniffs!

Yellow Filter?

The clouds were rather dark and OTL reckoned that it may have a been a good idea to bring the Yellow Filter, but he didn't so we have a 'coloured' photo that looks more like a Mono picture!

While OTL was trying to be 'Artistic' Holly and I were investigating the remains of a fire that someone had been burning last night. Looking at the bits of rubbish left there we decided  it was some fishermen 'cos there were strips of fishy sniffing stuff they use instead of worms! Mind you, we prefer worms cos' they are better to roll in!

Back home Holly and I had some Lambs Heart while OTL went off to do his 'Taxi' job!

Of course, after a big bowl of food all Holly and I were interested in doing was sleeping!

Lunchtime both Freddy and Wendy were awake and waiting to go out for a run. Down on the beach it was still cloudy but now there was a little rain in the air. That means OTL's camera was getting wet every time he got it out of his pocket to take a picture!

Yuk! Now it's raining!

Both ferrets decided the best place to be is in the ferret bag and the chased OTL along the beach!

Wendy decided to have a good roll in the Sea Kale while we were waiting for Freddy to finish sniffing at something under the sea weed!

This is Greaaaat!

Back home we watched some TV while OTL was reading the 'Ferret Book' for some advice on Ear Mites. Wendy is showing evidence in her ears of mite infestation. There is more ear wax than normal even after three days of washing! So, OTL has put some powder in her ears which was first sold back in 1907!

It seems to be working and OTL will be giving her ears another wash on Sunday. All the other ferrets seem to be clear at the moment but they all had a dusting, just in case!

Tonight OTL has got curry, so not much mugging for us except a bit of soggy Nan Bread!

April seems a little brighter today and has been taking her meds and even managed a little game with OTL, so, claws crossed!

Tonight we have been promised the first dose of Anti Tick stuff, so that means that the Scottish Holiday is about a month away!

The Weekend is here!

Hi Woofers!

Daisy, Holly, Miss May, Miss April, Miss Wendy and the Fabulous Freddy de Ferret are here again!

OK, I know it's Friday and the weekend hasn't officially started but it just feels like it!

We still haven't got the cameras back from the mender but Old Two Legs reckons to get them tonight.

This morning we were out with May and April and OTL noticed that April just wasn't herself. She is normally fighting May and pinching the food May tries to stash away but this morning all she wanted to do was go to sleep in the drawer!

OTL took her with us down to the beach but she just wanted to get back in the bag, so OTL let her climb in and do the 'Walk' sitting in the ferret bag on OTL's hand and poking her head out the top so she can see what was going on!

Miss May was her normal 'Rush About' self and had great fun trying to trip Holly up by running between her legs and wrapping the lead around them!

It nearly worked!

Back home we got a visit from Auntie Sheila who we gave a big welcome lick on the nose! She had come to play 'Glue Slapping' with The Missus and generally make a mess with the glitter, as usual!

OTL had to go out and didn't expect to get back until late this after noon so we had to look forward to TM taking us across the Farm!

OTL got back just after four which was just as well 'cos he had taken the laptop to do some programming of radio stuff.

That means I don't have much time to get this blog up and running!

Mind you, it would have been worse if I had to do the pictures as well!

April is still sleeping, which is not too unusual for a ferret, but when OTL came in all she wanted was a cuddle, and a slurp of Ferretone!

We are hoping she will feel better tomorrow.

May is giving her cuddles in their bed and keeping an eye on her!
